Event || Window of Opportunity

Characters: All Heroes of Light.
Where: Aqures Ixen - Everywhere
When: September 25th - From 12:30 to 22:30.
Summary: Heroes of Light will relive the same ten hours over and over again until they find a solution. This may be a blow to what's left of their sanity, but that's also a window of opportunity! The OOC Post is here for more information! It's not too late to sign-up, anyone can still jump right into the event! However, your vote for the total number of loops will not be taken into account any more.

Speaking of which-- Votes are in and this time displacement madness will be solved after 191 loops. Practically speaking, this means characters going through every single loop will live 2 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 14 hours in the span of half a day. Hopefully they won't mind the food for the day, the clothes they're wearing or what they were doing when the loop started, because that's what they'll be stuck with until the end. There are some events described below, but there will be no NPC replies. Feel free to partake in these events and of course, make your own!

The Flence Salesman
— All Day Long —
There is a salesman from Flence in the city, and he is going for every person he sees in the streets. Adults, children or elders, humans or tarutarus, it doesn't matter to him so long as he can make money! He will try to sell to the characters specialties from Flence and some crystals at absolutely awful prices, but he's open to negotiations and beyond that, he's extremely persistent. Normally, nobody would care about this, but given the salesman isn't be aware of the loop, he'll keep doing the same things over and over again... Hopefully he won't see your characters, otherwise he might just bother them for every single loop.


Moogle Demonstration for the Future of Mognet
— 12:30 => 16:00 —
For a surprise one-day long strike, the Moogles are demonstrating! There are roughly 800 Moogles together (250 according to the government, 5000 according to the striking Moogles) in the demonstration, all singing slogans and some even holding placards with "More Gil and Less Work" or "Give us Kupo Nuts" signs.

They started at 10:00 and left from the 09th District, but they will go throughout every district and explain what their protest is about. They'll finish at 16:00 and will be back to the 09th District to eat Kupo Nuts and drink Chocobo Milk together.


Biggs' Grand Return
— 14:00 => 22:30 —
After a month spent in the hospital, Biggs is finally back! He leave the Hospital at 14:00 and head straight for the Castle of Aqures Ixen. Noticeably he still has a broken and bandaged arm, but he'll pretend to be totally fine and for that matter, he will be as rude and as unfriendly as ever. He will spend most of the day in the Castle, but will go in Palitutu's Lab by 19:00 to meet with Cid. Among other things, he will side-eye everyone and will accidentally splash Cid's coffee on a Hero of Light working there (or on a Moogle, should the Hero have the good sense to avoid Biggs next loop).


Renovation of the Blitzball Stadium
— 15:30 => 20:00 —
The repairs are going steadily and today, a special dome from Trano Golsaucia is being transported and placed on the Blitzball Stadium, brand new and much more modern than what Aqures Ixen used to have! On the downside however, the airship bringing the dome and the work being done on the stadium are all very, very noisy. So noisy that everyone in a two-district radius will be bothered by it.

Under normal circumstances it would have been only for a short time and easilly bearable, but here it will happen for every single loop.


Have You Heard of the Heroes of Light?
— All Day Long —
Throughout the day, a few people are going to go and knock on every doors in the city, to talk about a most fascinating topic: the Heroes of Light! They will speak about how it is said the Heroes of Light are in Crystallis and how they managed to defeat the empire without difficulties back during the attack! Then they will go on and ask for a contribution (hear: money) to help the Heroes of Light in their cause. Of course, these people are dishonest and the money will go into their own pockets, as they don't believe in the Heroes of Light to begin with.

And of course, they'll go knock on doors during every single loop!


The Accident
— 22:29 => 22:30 —
The one minute that started it all. Who is the imbecile who committed the mistake on Palitutu's computer? Is this a Moogle or a Hero of Light, maybe Cid or Biggs? Whoever it is, after the first time, at 22:29 the program will start again on its own and will activate the loop right at 22:30, sending everything back to 12:30. The characters may try to run more programs to block the computer, cut the energy source or even bomb the building if they so wish...

But these archaic and barbaric solutions won't prevent the next loop from happening. Only hard work and scientific solutions shall prevail!

[Yuffie cringes at the nickname, turning to see the familiar face. Her arms relaxed at her sides and her stance is all but forgotten.]

I don't think I've seen you here often.

[She assumes it's to much work for him.]

What's up?

[ she didn't really need to cringe that badly but it's fine. He supposed she had her reasons for it. Their last engagement wasn't as fun as it usually was. ]

Not usually the place I'd go to either, but I figured why not since I'm bored.

[ He replied with a shrug. ]

The usual. How are you holding up?

[It isn't her worst cringe but it's her first reaction to a new nickname. Her expression flattens at his bored comment. She's still convinced he does nothing most days.]

I'm bored too.

[Mostly because she's grounded.]

Let's spar... or feed me. You get to chose.

[Yuffie's really bored.]

[ Well he doesn't know what to feel. Oh well, at least he's back to calling her princess as usual. He also really didn't do much unless he felt the need to or it seemed like a good place to intervene. Though the this last month had been rather eventful. He wasn't surprised that authorities hadn't tried to haul his ass in yet. ]

Fighting's too much of a hassle. I'll make you something. What do you want.

[ Yeah he totally offered to cook for her. Yuffie was just that close and stuff, maybe. ]

[Yuffie almost bounces at the invitation for food. He lips curl into an excited smile.]

What's your specialty? I'll have that.

[She really like's food and as long as it isn't a lot of vegetables she's not all that picky.]

[ She should be. He didn't offer it to just anyone really! ]

Not quite sure. I could a lot of things. You sure you don't have anything you're craving?

[ Even if he didn't know of it, he'd probably be able to do it without much effort. ]

[Yuffie takes a minute to think, food is a very important topic.]

I like steamed pork buns but that might be to hard. How about grilled meats?!

[Just thinking about juicy meats all roasting together is enough to make her mouth water and her stomach grumble.]

[ Yuri heard of those so it wasn't hard to remember what they were. ]

Whatever you want princess.

[ He replied with a nod before adding. ]

If that's what you want. We'll probably need to go shopping.

[ He added. ]

[She is okay with shopping as long as it doesn't come from her wallet. Mooshoo doesn't let her go shopping often since Yuffie's the type to see something and then just randomly pick it out because she's hungry and it looks good.

With a smile she'll grab Yuri's arm.]

[ well he was offering, so he would buy the food anyway. He needed some for his home regardless. Though, he did give her a raised brow when she grabbed him by the arm. ]

You think that's necessary, Princess?

[ He replied with a chuckle. ]

[She can’t help it, walking is hard and leaning on someone is the easiest way to deal with that difficulty, it’s really Yuri’s fault because he’s fallen into the category of friend which means all personal space is forfeited. Plus she doesn’t really want to have to think and walking involves a lot of thinking.]

Probably not.

[Yuffie grins and continues her antics.]

Food. Food. Food. Food. Food. Food~

[ He shrugged at that. Well, Yuffie you're lucky he actually cares about her enough to not care about what she was doing to him. ]

Right.

[ He shook his head at her. Well personal space being invaded by her seemed to be the norm here. He didn't really argue beyond that as they continued to the nearby market as he watched Yuffie get all cheerful about a home cooked meal. Whatever, he just grins at that thought. ]

You sure enjoy behaving like a child don't you?

What? I am not.

[She does enjoy it but she doesn’t considering getting exciting acting like a child. She’s always been a little childish, she doesn’t like to compromise and more often than not she sees the world in black and white. It’s only her time at Crystallis that’s made her see the world in grays but that just gets complicated which isn’t a lot of fun.]

It’s more fun to have fun. WHICH!

[She holds a finger in the air.]

Sure, whatever you say.

[ He shrugged. Really, she could say what she wanted, but Yuri wasn't making anymore comments on the matter. It's alright, it makes things a little more fun on his part at least. As childish as she seemed sometimes, Yuffie was fun to be around. ]

I don't disagree with you on the matter.

[ He laughed now. Eventually they made it to the market and Yuri pretty much bought whatever he needed for their meal, and if Yuffie wanted to add something else to the menu, she could.]

You don't need to be dramatic, princess.

[She is not childish and he'll get a glare for a few seconds before he starts laughing. There is no need to laugh at her!]

I'm not dramatic either!

[Which she also knows is very untrue and she might be shouting.

Yuffie falls in step with him, her mind on food while trying to think of a better comeback than what is currently coming to mind. She glances over at Yuri for a moment before speaking.]

At least I don't look like a girl. [Oh shit.] I mean I DO but you DO too and you aren't suppose to!

[Yuffie is slowly turning bright red, hiding her face in her hands. This is awful and she can't even resay what she had meant to say.]

[ Oh is she embarrassed? He's totally enjoying this way too much. Yuri just shrugged at her comment. She was only proving how wrong she was when she denied everything in front of him, really. Yuri felt like she was just trying to hide her embarrassment but that's fine with him. ]

You sure sound it, Princess.

[ He eyed her for that comment. He raised a brow when he commented about him looking like a girl. ]

You sure should watch what you say before you say it, Princess. It kind of makes things worse for you.

[ He ruffled her hair in the process. ] Don't worry too much. You look like a girl and hey if you think I make a great girl, then we'll go with that.

[ Since he does and doesn't care at the same time. ]

[Yuffie whines when he messes with her hair, her fingers instantly moving to fix it. Yuri might be the reason she ends up cutting it short again.]

You want to be a girl? Then have like… I don’t know, girl times.

You can brush my hair!

[She thinks about that for a moment.]

We can have sleepovers?!

[It’s not like she doesn’t know how to get into Yuri’s room.]

[ That's exactly why he enjoys ruffling her hair a lot. She gets angry at it. Not that he cared really. It was his way of showing affection in some weird twisted way. ]

You really need to come up with some better back ups, princess. I never said I wanted to be a girl, but you know it's not like I asked people to think I am one. They just assume. Girls are't the only people that can have long hair you know?

[ He laughed. ]

Brushing your hair is a one time thing, princess. You'll have to bribe me some more if you want me to continue it.

[ Yuri raised a brow followed by a loud laugh. ]

You sure think of strange things. If you ever feel lonely, feel free to come by. Use the door though.

[She's going to start making a list of backup retorts just to use against Yuri. He's being a butt, as always, and while Yuffie's annoyed a small part of her knows that she'd miss it if he ever changed.]

I know, Vincent has long hair. [He's most certainly NOT a girl.]

Sooooo~ That means you will brush my hair!

[She wants that and she'll ask again, more so because she'll forget this loop in 6 hours.]

I'm not lonely... [Her voice gets a new bite to it but it's then instantly dropped.] ...but I might stop by.

[She makes no promise to use the door.]

[ She could try, but he could guarantee that he had replies for all of them, knowing Yuri and all. Of course, it was funny to see her try so hard to outwit him in many things. ]

Then there you go.

[ He replied, sarcastically as ever. ]

Did I say that?

[ Sorry Yuffie he's going to give her such a hard time. Of course, he would probably remember the amount of times she'd ask him and probably doing them so she could stop asking. ]

If that's what you want to tell yourself.

[ Another cheerful laugh from. ]

Sounds like a plan. You're welcome any time.

[ Sigh, he'll just deal he suppose, or rig the windows. ]

[Knowing she’s going to fail has never stopped Yuffie in the past and it isn’t about to stop her now. She looks over at Yuri and puffs out her cheeks. She’s not enjoying the direction that this conversation is going and she will be using his window to come and visit. If he’s going to be a jerk then she’s going to be difficult in return.]

You did!!! You did say that!!!

[Yuffie throws her arms down at her sides, her fingers curled into fists.]

You can’t take it back!

[Because that’s cheating and not nice!]

[ Yuri started laughing a bit hysterically at how childish Yuffie was behaving but then again he wasn't much more mature than her, laughing at her words and making fun of her all the same. He did say that but he didn't exactly mean he was going to do it but Yuffie was somehow dead on wanting him to brush her hair.

The girl was definitely a strange person. ]

Is that so? Sounds like it slipped my mind. Who said I'd take it back. You're going to have to earn it still, Princess.

[ Cheating? Yuri? NEVER! ]

[Yuffie crosses her arms with a slight pout, her gaze looking sideways at Yuri with a mixture of displeasure and curiosity.]

Okay, what do I have to do?

[She doesn't want to do anything at all but she is curious enough to want to know what might be on his mind. It isn't as if Yuri's generally a forthcoming person so she's honestly expecting him to say something along the likes one: "You'll figure it out" or "I'll tell you later."

Both of which will infuriate and frustrate her.]

[ He laughed at her curiosity mixed with pouting. He shrugged. ]

Run around three times and bark.

[ Yuri makes a serious face as he said that to her, though he hardly means for her to do it. It's part of him messing with her on a more messed up level. He didn't really mind doing favours for people.

He kind of throws her a curve ball so, good luck with that Yuffie. ]

He can't be serious!

Yuffie's done some embarrassing things but never intentionally. She continues to stare as if she's honestly considering his proposition.]

No. You promised.

[Her hands move to her waist and she stares at him with a stubborn stare.]
