Event || Window of Opportunity

Characters: All Heroes of Light.
Where: Aqures Ixen - Everywhere
When: September 25th - From 12:30 to 22:30.
Summary: Heroes of Light will relive the same ten hours over and over again until they find a solution. This may be a blow to what's left of their sanity, but that's also a window of opportunity! The OOC Post is here for more information! It's not too late to sign-up, anyone can still jump right into the event! However, your vote for the total number of loops will not be taken into account any more.

Speaking of which-- Votes are in and this time displacement madness will be solved after 191 loops. Practically speaking, this means characters going through every single loop will live 2 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 14 hours in the span of half a day. Hopefully they won't mind the food for the day, the clothes they're wearing or what they were doing when the loop started, because that's what they'll be stuck with until the end. There are some events described below, but there will be no NPC replies. Feel free to partake in these events and of course, make your own!

The Flence Salesman
— All Day Long —
There is a salesman from Flence in the city, and he is going for every person he sees in the streets. Adults, children or elders, humans or tarutarus, it doesn't matter to him so long as he can make money! He will try to sell to the characters specialties from Flence and some crystals at absolutely awful prices, but he's open to negotiations and beyond that, he's extremely persistent. Normally, nobody would care about this, but given the salesman isn't be aware of the loop, he'll keep doing the same things over and over again... Hopefully he won't see your characters, otherwise he might just bother them for every single loop.


Moogle Demonstration for the Future of Mognet
— 12:30 => 16:00 —
For a surprise one-day long strike, the Moogles are demonstrating! There are roughly 800 Moogles together (250 according to the government, 5000 according to the striking Moogles) in the demonstration, all singing slogans and some even holding placards with "More Gil and Less Work" or "Give us Kupo Nuts" signs.

They started at 10:00 and left from the 09th District, but they will go throughout every district and explain what their protest is about. They'll finish at 16:00 and will be back to the 09th District to eat Kupo Nuts and drink Chocobo Milk together.


Biggs' Grand Return
— 14:00 => 22:30 —
After a month spent in the hospital, Biggs is finally back! He leave the Hospital at 14:00 and head straight for the Castle of Aqures Ixen. Noticeably he still has a broken and bandaged arm, but he'll pretend to be totally fine and for that matter, he will be as rude and as unfriendly as ever. He will spend most of the day in the Castle, but will go in Palitutu's Lab by 19:00 to meet with Cid. Among other things, he will side-eye everyone and will accidentally splash Cid's coffee on a Hero of Light working there (or on a Moogle, should the Hero have the good sense to avoid Biggs next loop).


Renovation of the Blitzball Stadium
— 15:30 => 20:00 —
The repairs are going steadily and today, a special dome from Trano Golsaucia is being transported and placed on the Blitzball Stadium, brand new and much more modern than what Aqures Ixen used to have! On the downside however, the airship bringing the dome and the work being done on the stadium are all very, very noisy. So noisy that everyone in a two-district radius will be bothered by it.

Under normal circumstances it would have been only for a short time and easilly bearable, but here it will happen for every single loop.


Have You Heard of the Heroes of Light?
— All Day Long —
Throughout the day, a few people are going to go and knock on every doors in the city, to talk about a most fascinating topic: the Heroes of Light! They will speak about how it is said the Heroes of Light are in Crystallis and how they managed to defeat the empire without difficulties back during the attack! Then they will go on and ask for a contribution (hear: money) to help the Heroes of Light in their cause. Of course, these people are dishonest and the money will go into their own pockets, as they don't believe in the Heroes of Light to begin with.

And of course, they'll go knock on doors during every single loop!


The Accident
— 22:29 => 22:30 —
The one minute that started it all. Who is the imbecile who committed the mistake on Palitutu's computer? Is this a Moogle or a Hero of Light, maybe Cid or Biggs? Whoever it is, after the first time, at 22:29 the program will start again on its own and will activate the loop right at 22:30, sending everything back to 12:30. The characters may try to run more programs to block the computer, cut the energy source or even bomb the building if they so wish...

But these archaic and barbaric solutions won't prevent the next loop from happening. Only hard work and scientific solutions shall prevail!

[ That's exactly why he enjoys ruffling her hair a lot. She gets angry at it. Not that he cared really. It was his way of showing affection in some weird twisted way. ]

You really need to come up with some better back ups, princess. I never said I wanted to be a girl, but you know it's not like I asked people to think I am one. They just assume. Girls are't the only people that can have long hair you know?

[ He laughed. ]

Brushing your hair is a one time thing, princess. You'll have to bribe me some more if you want me to continue it.

[ Yuri raised a brow followed by a loud laugh. ]

You sure think of strange things. If you ever feel lonely, feel free to come by. Use the door though.

[She's going to start making a list of backup retorts just to use against Yuri. He's being a butt, as always, and while Yuffie's annoyed a small part of her knows that she'd miss it if he ever changed.]

I know, Vincent has long hair. [He's most certainly NOT a girl.]

Sooooo~ That means you will brush my hair!

[She wants that and she'll ask again, more so because she'll forget this loop in 6 hours.]

I'm not lonely... [Her voice gets a new bite to it but it's then instantly dropped.] ...but I might stop by.

[She makes no promise to use the door.]

[ She could try, but he could guarantee that he had replies for all of them, knowing Yuri and all. Of course, it was funny to see her try so hard to outwit him in many things. ]

Then there you go.

[ He replied, sarcastically as ever. ]

Did I say that?

[ Sorry Yuffie he's going to give her such a hard time. Of course, he would probably remember the amount of times she'd ask him and probably doing them so she could stop asking. ]

If that's what you want to tell yourself.

[ Another cheerful laugh from. ]

Sounds like a plan. You're welcome any time.

[ Sigh, he'll just deal he suppose, or rig the windows. ]

[Knowing she’s going to fail has never stopped Yuffie in the past and it isn’t about to stop her now. She looks over at Yuri and puffs out her cheeks. She’s not enjoying the direction that this conversation is going and she will be using his window to come and visit. If he’s going to be a jerk then she’s going to be difficult in return.]

You did!!! You did say that!!!

[Yuffie throws her arms down at her sides, her fingers curled into fists.]

You can’t take it back!

[Because that’s cheating and not nice!]

[ Yuri started laughing a bit hysterically at how childish Yuffie was behaving but then again he wasn't much more mature than her, laughing at her words and making fun of her all the same. He did say that but he didn't exactly mean he was going to do it but Yuffie was somehow dead on wanting him to brush her hair.

The girl was definitely a strange person. ]

Is that so? Sounds like it slipped my mind. Who said I'd take it back. You're going to have to earn it still, Princess.

[ Cheating? Yuri? NEVER! ]

[Yuffie crosses her arms with a slight pout, her gaze looking sideways at Yuri with a mixture of displeasure and curiosity.]

Okay, what do I have to do?

[She doesn't want to do anything at all but she is curious enough to want to know what might be on his mind. It isn't as if Yuri's generally a forthcoming person so she's honestly expecting him to say something along the likes one: "You'll figure it out" or "I'll tell you later."

Both of which will infuriate and frustrate her.]

[ He laughed at her curiosity mixed with pouting. He shrugged. ]

Run around three times and bark.

[ Yuri makes a serious face as he said that to her, though he hardly means for her to do it. It's part of him messing with her on a more messed up level. He didn't really mind doing favours for people.

He kind of throws her a curve ball so, good luck with that Yuffie. ]

[Yuffie just stares at him when he replies with his conditions.

He can't be serious!

Yuffie's done some embarrassing things but never intentionally. She continues to stare as if she's honestly considering his proposition.]

No. You promised.

[Her hands move to her waist and she stares at him with a stubborn stare.]

[ He looks as serious as he can be when he says that to her. He hoped she'd actually try to do it and he would stop her midway and tell her it was a joke. At the same time, he's pretty certain she's gonna kick him in the shin for it. Oh well, he enjoyed messing with Yuffie obviously. ]

Well you know, I don't see any proof of it and saying I said it isn't exactly evidence. So what's it gonna be Princess?

[ He smugly replied with a bright grin on his face. ]

[Yuffie crosses her arms over her chest looking really annoyed and upset.]

Wan, wan, wan.

[It's her idea of barking and while she doesn't run around she says all three words.]

I'm not running around though!

[dammit_flynn]

[ This was the cue for Yuri to seriously bust up laughing. She didn't even try to question it.

He just kept snickering for a good few minutes before he held his hand up. ]

...Man you're pretty easy to mess with-- but I guess the running isn't really important anymore seeing you just--

[ Sorry he's back to laughing. ]

[Yuffie's face turns bright red and she stomps her heel on the ground. Her arms are tense at her side as she yells at Yuri.]

YOU ARE SO MEAN!

[She wishes that she could hide under a blanket but instead she kicks Yuri in the shin.]

Jerk!

[ He was having too much fun teasing her, needless to say. He's being really mean but hey it was part of his "charm" so to say. ]

Ouch!

[ That kick actually hurt when she kicked him. ]

Jeez, I didn't think you'd actually start barking!

[ Oh well maybe he did as he continued to snicker while in pain. He deserved it and he knew. ]

Alright, alright, I give. I'll brush your hair as compensation.

[She's glad that the kick seems to have worked. Either way, she doesn't like being laughed it. She can't think of anyone who'd enjoy being laughed at.]

It's a promise this time!

[She'll be stubborn about this and make him follow through, more so for his teasing.]

[ Only because she kicked pretty damn hard this time rather than her usual. he must have really embarrassed her for Yuffie to kick him that hard. His shin is throbbing but he would live. ]

Yeah, yeah. Geez, are all girls your age this violent?

[ Rita was along those lines too. ]

[Yuffie rolls her eyes, she doesn't care for his comment.]

Only if you don't treat them right.

[She sticks out her tongue as if that settles everything. It's obviously all Yuri's fault.]

[ Whatever. He doesn't really mind it either. It's better than having her cry on him seriously. ]

Riiiight, I'll try to keep that in mind.

[ Only not. A little pain was worth messing with Yuffie, sadly enough. ]

Alright, Princess let's head out before we get too side tracked.

[Yuffie honestly forgot what they were doing but walks along behind Yuri with a smile. She'll let him take the lead.]

Where are we going?

[Yup, she's just thinking about Yuri brushing her hair.]

[ He remembered she wanted food and they were shopping for it. Of course, he did spot the market and they were going to go there first and grab things. Yuri was fine leading since he had a pretty decent memory. ]

The market and then my place. You said you wanted me to make you something to eat.

[ He replied shaking his head. This girl. He was probably going to do that away from prying eyes. ]

[Yuffie smiles brightly letting her dark eyes flick over the items at market. She points to a fish seller with a wide smile indicating that Yuri should buy some. Considering the hole boring into her stomach from hunger he probably shouldn't listen to her because she'll suggest almost everything in sight.]

We should get desert too!

[Since a meal isn't complete without desert.]

[ Yuri sighed and walked over to the fish seller and asked how much the fish was. Eventually, the negotiated a fair price and Yuri thanked the man for his business. In any case, he could probably make something with whatever she decided her should buy but there would be a limit to it since neither of them were going to eat that much. At least, he thinks so. ]

Dessert too?

[ This girl... He's going to give her a look. ]

Like what?

[Yuffie can eat a lot but he's right to assume she has limits. Yuffie however chooses not to see these limits. She pauses at his look, her expression somewhere between a pout and a sheepish shrug.]

I don't know.

[There is a slightly awkward pause where Yuffie kicks at the ground with her toe.]

What's your favorite dessert?

[dammit_flynn]

[ Yuri doesn't even know with her sometimes. He doesn't have a special food or anything sweet that he likes. Usually, he's just eating Mabo Curry or whatever he makes on the go. Sweets were the same thing. He made them with whatever he had. ]

Don't got one. Why don't you name a few and I can tell you what I can make?

[ That's pretty much anything really since Yuri seemed to have a knack for being able to cook well, and bake too apparently. ]

[Yuffie has to think again because food is very serious business.]

I like tarts.

[She pauses.]

Like with fruit... not really a pie.

[She circles her fingers to try and outline what she's talking about.]

[ It seemed that way. ]

I know what you're talking about so don't worry about it. What kind of fruits do you want?

[ He replies after a moment. ]

We'll grab them since the store is nearby.
