Brainwashing.
There was a slow, brief tilting of his head at Sparks. Quietly, he watched the older man struggle. The narrowing of the eyes had a tiny red flag setting up within his mind. Then...the look of suspicion. So, he had failed to come completely out of it. Very well...it was unfortunate, but it seemed that they were minus another comrade.
Feeling the grab to the back of his shirt, Shun turned and offered Yeul a reassuring look. Lifting one hand, he rested it on the top of her head, briefly. As it dropped, Shun was giving Sparks a serious look, "It appears you've managed to slip back into the very clutch of lies that holds the others...Very well."
Considering the importance of...all of this, they could not risk Sparks fully returning to the opposite side. Satoru's presence had somehow managed to have him feeling...even angrier, for some reason. He could not explain it; he wasn't angry at Satoru. It was as though something had happened, regarding him, that he couldn't remember. It was irrelevant, though, wasn't it? For the sake of protecting his world -- protecting everyone on it, he had to focus on snapping the older man out of the control he was under. Or, even should they fail to do that...worse.
"You leave me no choice." And, with that, he drew his blade.

It gave him a sick feeling. This was wrong, Shun wasn't a fighter, and clearly from how Yeul sought comfort in his presence she too wasn't particularly ready for a battle.
Without another thought he lifts an arm in front of his boyfriend’s chest, stopping him. "I'll take care of this..." But the smile that once graced his face was completely gone now, replaced with trained eyes of a hunter. But when he turns to face Sparks his eyes showed nothing but blood thirst, usually wine colored eyes taking on a redder hue to reflect the switch.
This was going to be fun~
"..Master Satoru?" The white moogle asked, worried about that glint in the boys eyes. Oh he almost forgot about Yuki... "Best you stay back." The moogle opens its mouth to ask another question but then silently closes it before flying back and landing on Yeul's Shoulder instead. There was something very scary about Mr. Asahina right now. And his fear was proven to be true as a twisted grin runs over his face and his hands lift, the ground surrounding them shaking before the land lifted sharply into the sky creating a circular wall to surround them all. This was to keep Spark's in and those who may wish to interfere out. He then closed his fists and appeared to be pulling something in, and patches in the rock/dirt walls gathers and sharpens into numerous and very dangerous spikes.
This combination clearly took a large amount of energy to perform, Satoru's breathes coming out rougher but it felt necessary for their purposes. They had to try and bring Spark's back to their side, he was important to the ritual. But his eyes clearly said that if he attacks the boy will attack back...and perhaps it was this thought that was really causing his loss of breath and the tightening in his chest.
“Snap out of it, is whatever delusion they implanted in your mind really more important than saving the world?”

What was even worse about this situation was that these three were so young. Sparks didn't exactly like the idea of taking them down, but he wasn't going to underestimate them. He knew better than that. He watched Satoru's display with the same suspicious glare, but also started up a spell of his own. Sparks readied Stock Break, raising his robotic gloves up that now glowed with the spell's holy light.
"This ain't gotta come to fisticuffs, kids," he said, looking to each one of them now. "Reckon I know what's happened here. Them seeds are a big part of it. I remember that day. I was surprised as anyone that they were all gone when we arrived. But just a few minutes ago, I thought I was responsible for it. No way. A kid's life depended no those, y'know."

Her heart ached as she thought back to her guardian. He hadn't shown up here with the others and she wished he was well. For the first time in her lives she wanted to protect him.
"Many lives depend on this now." Her voice was quiet but it carried clearly over to Sparks.

That look in Satoru's eyes... was different. Shun had never seen it, before, and wasn't entirely sure how to respond; he let himself be stopped. Shun let his gaze shift to Sparks. He saw the stance shift and he...acknowledged that an attack was about to be directed at his best friend. His expression tensed as he listened to those words.
The moogle wasn't taking any of it well, either, "Yuki," his voice took on a stern tone, though his gaze was soft as he looked over to Satoru's companion, "You should fly out of here, for now."
He didn't want the creature getting caught up in the crossfire, honestly. He wouldn't be of any use, there, and...there was no point in him being hurt. It would be unwise for him to stick around. In the meantime, he was tossing a firm look to Sparks.
"Yeul is correct. No matter what has happened, the fact remains that it is imperative that we complete this. Whatever brainwashing you've undergone...we can't let you interfere. I had hoped that you would remain our ally, but it seems that their hold on your mind is far too strong."

He holds, the spell for now, though.
"Well, guess what. This is me interferin'. Y'all know I'm with the police, right. And I can bring ya in for all manner 'a charges right now. Don't think I won't arrest kids. Because I have totally done that before."
