better late than never
Who: Everyone!
What: A week late Halloween celebration.
Where: The Observatory
When: Friday, Nov. 6, 7:00 PM
Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?
On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.
The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.
[[This is just a general mingle log, and a good way for the new Heroes to meet everyone, so post whatever and have fun!]]

Conversationalist!
[She looks over at his costume with a smile. She likes it though she doesn't know what it might be from. Some of the books suggest that he's a king but she doesn't want to chance guessing. Her own costume is a cute little deer.]
It's a party. I'd feel bad if you were working and not enjoying yourself.
[Zelda takes a seat at the counter letting her chin rest in the palm of her hand.]

What about you? How's things goin' after that marshmallow exploded?

Then if it's alright, can I please have a drink?
[With her order place her fingers begin to drum against the counter.]
Everything seems better now, more repairs and there is still marshmallow everywhere but it's getting cleaned up to.
[Zelda isn't sure she wants to answer how she's doing personally. The night of thirteen moogles had shaken her up a bit.]

[Pop! The cap screws off and he pours her one in a glass usually reserved for alcohol. It adds some maturity.]
Good thing this was during cold weather, otherwise we'd have an epidemic of flies all over the city, and that would spell trouble for us all. [and he don't want no--alright we get the point. He leans on the countertop, arms crossed.] I have a suggestion. Would burnin' it off help some?
no subject
[Zelda thinks about that for a second and while that's a good idea there is one really big flaw in that plan.]
We don't want to burn the buildings down. The wood would catch before the sugar.
[They are still repairing things from the war. No need to add to it.
Zelda takes her drink and takes a long sip. It's good and she doesn't really need to drink to have a good time. She'd rather watch and make sure that everyone's okay.]

What about streets, ain't they made of stone? I'm not sayin' to go blastin' it with magic, just burn off the bits and make 'em easier to scrape off, is what I'm sayin'.

[Zelda takes a sip of her drink and then thinks a moment longer.]
What about Ice? That might stop it from being sticky at least.
[It's cold enough that it's probably due to snow as well.]

What? I'm sure the scientists among us can build somethin' like that. With all that magitek research, I'd be surprised if they didn't have a robot to shovel snow.
no subject
[She hadn't meant to hurt his feelings.]
Don't you think it'd look fun though? Sparks holding a big shovel and yelling at frozen marshmallow?
no subject
Oh, I don't think it'd be fun. I know it would be! The Marshal's always gettin' frustrated when things don't work out the way he wants, this aint' any different.
no subject
It's worth a try so I'll make sure to bring it up.
Thank you
