When: Starting from the 18th of November.
Summary: The first trip to the Continent of Ruins is finally happening! The Heroes of Light, the Enterprise Crew, Cid and O'aka are all onboard for the trip. What will the Heroes of Light find there? [Looking around the area, Shining noticed Umeko there. Hmm, that's one of their comrades. He should probably say hello.

Waving at her, he trotted up with Dice in tow who was toting a beer and pretzel as big as he was.] Hey, can I sit here with you?

Mm?

[Umiko peeks up from her work before shifting some of the paper and maps around. After there is enough of the table cleared she gestures with a passive glance. Rudder looks up at the addition to their table but says nothing as he looks back towards his book.]

Sure.

[She places her pen down and then stretches her arms over head. She knows the hero, he's one of two horses in this world so it's hard not to know of him. Umiko takes her beer and takes a long swig before saying more.]

Do you need anything or just company?

I've been on my hooves for a while, and I was wondering what you were doing over here. I noticed you around town after all, and on the Enterprise as well.

[Dice sipped his drink.] He's been pretty good at meeting new faces.

[Umiko raises an eyebrow at Dice wondering if the moogle knows that she's from Crystallis and not a hero of light like the others.]

That right?

[She pauses while shifting over some papers.]

I'm making a map of the city.

New to me, yeah. [Said Shining.] Though a lot of people are new to me.

[Dice merely smiled behind his beer.]

Oh a map? Can I see?

Here.

[Umiko taps lightly.]

Don't mess it up though, I write these all by hand.

[She doesn't want to have to do it again.]

[He'll be careful and Dice floats well away from the map so not to spill his drink.

Peering over them, he nodded.] They're incredibly detailed. You do this for a living then?

[Umiko is glad that they are keeping a distance from her work and in return she clears a slightly bigger space for them to use. She's just going over data now and her maps can be safely tucked away until she needs to edit or add more to them.]

Yes. I'm a navigator and cartographer.

[A slight smile graces her lips.]

I plan to map this whole content.

That's ambitious. I wish you the best with that.

Were you planning on heading back and start an expedition of some sorts to return? Like a dedicated one I mean?

That's the plan.

[Honestly she doesn't want to go home but she doesn't know much about this place and it's probably not safe if she stays here alone. She's going to at least be smart about it.]

I might put up something for others to sign up. I don't know who'd want to come.

That's probably a good idea. Getting volunteers will aid a lot. I'd help, but there's a lot of stares. I'm not exactly the best person to even be here.

[Pronouns aside, he had seen some of the shady looks at some of the non-human types.]

Well you are a horse right?

[She smiles a little sympatrically.]

I've heard that some worlds have horses but ours doesn't. We have chocobo's which means you are really easy to spot.

Pony actually.

[Horse did not quite equal pony back home.]

Hmm, I guess that would make things stand out then.

Can I ask what the difference is?

[She didn't know what might be the difference between horse or pony.]

Horses stand taller, longer limbs and bodies. They are at least a head and shoulders taller than a pony. They usually are different than the three tribes of ponies too, sporting no horns or wings or natural magic.

Horns like yours? And some have wings?

[It sounds a little farfetched but then he's standing in front of her now. She isn't going to dismiss it.]

Sounds interesting. I don't really know much about it.

Horns like mine, yes. I'm from the tribe of unicorns actually.

I guess if you didn't have any horses here, then it would be hard to explain.

A little bit.

[Umiko chuckles softly as she reaches for her own drink. The liquid is cool as if slides down her throat and fills her stomach. When the cup is about half empty she places it down next to her.]

Do you have ponies that make maps in your world? Must be hard without hands.

Oh yes, we have even whole groups who do it for a living. Ponies are adept in drawing maps with quills between their teeth, or using magic to lift the quill. That's something I used to be able to do, before coming here.

[At least not familiar.]

You probably get a lot of of questions like that. Why not just relax and drink.

[She'll continue to push her things safely to the side.]

I can answer a lot.

[He said with a grin as he picked up his mug like a normal person would with one hoof, and tipped it back. PONIES AREN'T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT and yet he can. All of them can but still. Ask Rainbow Dash.]

[Umiko laughs softly before rolling up the map she had been working on. She had to wait for it to dry but with a pony at the table she isn't risking spills.]

I can tell, you seemed ready for the questions.

It's been nothing BUT questions. But good ones. I entertained a couple of Elezen children too.

[At least he is taking everything in stride. Umiko doesn't know what she'd do if she was suddenly in a world with ponies.]

Sounds like you are having fun.

[Which doesn't seem best when there is so much to do. Not that Umiko is doing much more than making maps.]

I am. I'd like to return later and explore further. Hopefully it'll be nicer and more adventure-like.

[So says the guy who deliberately walked into the roughest tavern in town back on their own continent for answers.]
