[Those short sentences are punctuated by Graham hitting his forehead off of the wall, before sliding down to the floor. Clearly this was the worst day of his life.]
Somehow, I'll have to get the gumption back to at least appreciate the rest of this marvelous machine, and be consoled by that. Perhaps I will be so impressed that I will forget all about the engine room and the slights made against me.

[Graham was pretty much a total basket case. Reno wasn't sure if he really could be held accountable for the crazy shit he did. Which was all the more reason to prevent it.]
Still, I'd rather not crash an' die.
[He watched Graham bang his forehead into the wall, restraining himself from putting a hand out. It was more likely he'd just get his hand bashed than actually shield the other man's face -- and did he really like Graham enough to do that?]
Wouldja' feel better if I could get some pictures?

Why can I not be content with all the ships I get to disassemble on a daily basis at my job? I'm not ungrateful for that. I'm just compelled to go for things that are bigger, better, newer! I guess I'm just ambitious?!

[As long as it didn't end up killing people, namely Reno. But the psychopath actually looked pretty sad, huddled up like that. A lot smaller than he really was.]
Hey... Y'know, actually, I've been thinkin', Graham -- I think I have a project for you.

[He gives Reno a skeptical look, but he waits for his proposition.]

So, I'm sure you've taken apart a ton of Heran stuff... and probably stuff around Aqures Ixen, too. Seen a lotta parts an' stuff.
What I would kill for... [Well, second to a real helicopter, but he wasn't sure he could -- or should -- compete with the city's airships.] is a motorcycle. Not a fuckin' scooter, but a real sleek, badass machine, y'know? Gotta be fast.
A fuckin' work of art, yeah?

Yes! Yes, of course I do. No one could appreciate it more than I. And we already have motorcycles here! Well, the Empire does, their technological pursuits clearly being in the right direction. There's one in the Observatory. I've already taken it apart, because I had to. Every piece of machinery I get to disassemble here makes my heart soar to new heights! I had to know how a world without combustion engines or fuel oil constructed their vehicles! I even put it back together and took it out on a ride. For a date. I recommend that everyone do this.
[Graham quickly taps his fingers on the ground as he thinks out loud.]
If building a new one was so easy, I'd have my own by now! But we've got one, meaning there has to be more out there. Or the parts to make them. I just need to get my hands on them. How cruel would it be if they were all locked away in the Empire!?
no subject
[Reno hadn't thought of that. He tapped his lips thoughtfully.]
But you took it apart an' put it back together once -- so you know how it runs already. I wonder if we can find anythin' around here that'll be comparable...
I mean, worst case scenario, we just take a li'l trip an' liberate some a' these machines that are clearly bein' misused. [Tee hee.] But if we can figure out which parts we need, maybe a Blacksmith can start makin' 'em?
We can have our own fancy tech in no time if we just know how t' copy theirs!

[Good to see he's on track as always. But at least his mood is turning around.]

The name sounded familiar, though Reno wasn't sure. He hadn't exactly been the most social, and there were a good amount of Heroes here.
"Which one was he again?" If he knew as much about crystals as Graham seemed to think, he could be very useful.
