Event || The Revival of King Moggle Mog XIV

Characters: Undead Heroes and Surviving Heroes of Light participating in the event.
Where: Start in Aqures Ixen; Ends in a Forest East of Aqures.
When: The 31st of October.
Summary: People have died, now they're back with a need to kill those who didn't die. Well, kill them if they have to at the very least. The OOC Post for detailed explanations can be found here.
Warning: Friends killing each other.

[Kobato sat on the forests edge, swinging her legs and just simply staying still. She knew how to do what she was told and staying still was always the best way from doing anything too stupid until they got there.

She knew what her job was and knew how to do it. All she had to do now was wait for the others and simply greet them and show them on their way. All with a smile on her face. But for noe all she had to do was wait.]

[As the two heroes guided them Zelda remained silent listening to the others chatter. Even with this new information it doesn't make sense to her. Her eyes land on Kobato and her expression relaxed. She is happy to see that her friend is alright.]

Kobato? How are you?

[It is a question that she had been asking a lot but she remembers stopping in at Kobato's house and her no longer being there; it was frighting.]

[She looked over, it seemed like they had lead them to her, which meant her job to show them the rest of the way will begin soon. That's good at least.]

I'm fine. Never been better after what happened.

[At least she felt fine anyway, she knew her job and how to do it after all.]

[The others were gathering around them as she stop at the forest edge.]

What did happen? You just vanished? [Like the others.]

[Zelda's thoughts tumble around in her mind as she tries to connect the pieces together.]

[Ashelia is dumbstruck. She was never close with Kobato by any means - in fact, the girl's demeanor always put her somewhat on edge - but she had been used to having the young woman around, at least. When she had disappeared, it had taken a lot for Ashelia not to panic. Others were disappearing too, after all. She'd convinced herself there was something more going on, if only in order to assuage her guilt that she hadn't been able to help the girl.]

[And now here she is, standing right in front of them.] Kobato...

[Cloud is ill at ease as well. He's already struggling to hang on and support everyone in spite of the pain coursing through his arm on top of the fatigue that was plaguing them all.

But he remembered Kobato. He remembered her as a nice and hopeful girl trying to get her feet on the ground here in this new world.

None of this boded well for any of them.]

Kobato...are you okay?

[It had been a while since Ales met the girl, confused and without their Moogles, thinking that they had died. Kobato actually succumbing to her illness felt like a late punchline to a cruel joke.

But here she was, alive and well.]

Kobato! [The smile is difficult to suppress.] It's good to see you again. Is everyone else inside?

[She had her hands in front of her, she had a job to do and she felt like she should really be getting there sooner rather than later.]

I'll talk more as soon as you follow me, but the others are this way you will see...

[She turned around as she started to walk, turning her head to make sure that the others were following before speaking again.]

I'm fine, really. I just understand things better now than I did before and for me that's always a good thing.

I'm glad to hear that.

[She roughly knows where they were headed, her real question is why but she has already heard one explanation and isn't sure about its validity.]

Do you know what's happening in town?

["I understand things better now". Something about that phrase sends a chill down his spine. It might just be how terribly everything has been going for the past few days...weeks...it feels longer than it's been. There's something else about it that scares him too. Something he can't quite put his finger on. Maybe it's just his imagination.

Cloud follows along, cautious and gripping his gunblade.]

[Ales follows closely behind Kobato, taking note of the path they'll be taking. The sooner they find a way to save the city, the sooner they'll have time to ask how they came back to life. Obviously, the explanation will be too long for a few hours.]

[She pauses for a moment. She had to admit that wasn't one of the questions she expected to be asked. But she'll try her best as she turns her head to look.]

I'm sure the ones who brought you to this point might have said yes or no, but if that question is to ask about why it's happening, it's better to wait until you get to your destination.

[Which if she could recall wasn't that far as walk as it could have been. At least right now she was sensible enough to not trip over.]

[Zelda doesn't care much for the uncertainty and she couldn't get rid of the sinking feeling in her chest but she trusted Kobato.]

Right, then.

[Cloud looks around the group, trying to catch everyone's eyes as they follow along behind Kobato. This is more than likely going to be a trap of some sort. Not a thing about this is filling him with a good feeling, not the least of which is her sudden return and her claim of understanding.

When he turned to crystal he simply lost time. The corruption that was now plaguing his arm didn't seem to be related, he was the only one who was suffering from it as he knew, but he still felt disoriented and confused on awaking.

While he doesn't know Kobato outside of their first meeting, something about her cheer seems...off.]

Who are the others? Who's up ahead?

[Ashelia's eyes narrow when she hears yet another flimsy, vague explanation from one of their guides. She looks over at Cloud and nods. This is just altogether not right. She tries to catch Zelda and Ales' eye as well, moving a hand to the pommel of her sword.]

[Kobato turned around, choosing to walk backwards if only for a moment before she very nearly tripped over. Okay that was not the smartest move from her, so back to facing the front she goes.]

Just some others who ended up in the same situation as me. I'm sure you'll all would like to see them again, right?

[Zelda looks towards her companions with a worried expression. She isn't sure what is going on but it seems off.

She falls back sightly so that she is walking next to Ahelia.]

What do you make of all this?

[Her tone is hushed as she glances towards the others.]

[Ashelia keeps pace with Zelda, shaking her head.] 'Tis hard to say for certain - one would assume this a very poor attempt at an ambush, if it were not for our comrades' presence. [Ashelia's tone is quiet.] I like it not, but we must be prepared. Returning from death must change a person, but...this is not the Kobato I knew.

[Ales, still following close to Kobato, grows more curious about the vague explanations she's giving them.]

Why do we have to wait until then? Wouldn't it be more convenient to explain everything while we're getting there?

[Cloud stays near the front of the group, in part to shield the others but also to keep talking with their guide.]

I died recently too though. How come I don't understand? Did you meet someone? Did something different happen to you than me?

Because it won't be long now, of course. Besides things there will help everyone understand and that's better than me explaining it isn't it?

After all they say seeing is believing.

[It was a term that she had seen in magazines and television after all so it meant something.]

But it's not long now~!

[Zelda silently nods and continues to walk while consumed by her thoughts. There is so much that has been left open ended that maybe it is best if they just see for themselves. With so many threads weaved together, she wonders what could be were the threads meet.]

[A few silent seconds pass while Ales ponders Kobato's words. It's too quiet for comfort, so he tries to think of questions to break the slience.]

Hey, Kobato. [He puts on a friendly smile.] How long have you all been alive again? Was it just today?

[Kobato had been trying her best to keep focused in front of her, but for the brief moment she turned her head to answer the question.]

That's right, I came back today. Isn't that great?
