Summary: People have died, now they're back with a need to kill those who didn't die. Well, kill them if they have to at the very least. The OOC Post for detailed explanations can be found here.

Shun Aonuma: Prior to Boss Battle

Yeul followed Shun watching him silently. She understood the expressions playing across his face and hoped that he still had that drive to finish what they needed to finish. She looked back at those around them and wondered what will happen next. With Sparks gone would they try and stop them?

Red had successfully knocked Sparks back into reality with her words and that slap, but it wasn't an immediate reaction. Everything was still running together in his head. The reactions of Shun and Yeul, and the ritual commencing around them, and the confusing stories told by those who had arrived only worked against each other. Trying to sort it out on his own was only giving him a headache, so he came after Shun a few minutes after Shun had walked off.

Once he approached, he carefully asked a question, but he sounded unsure about it. "Hey. What's... Um. We're doin' the right thing here, right? Cuz Red..."

After regaining his composure, he turned to Yeul. Giving her a reassuring nod, he started to open his mouth to speak to her. But, then, he heard approaching footsteps. Lifting his head towards the familiar person. For some...unknown reason, the question had Shun's brow tensing. So, he hadn't followed because he had regained his resolve...

Still, he didn't sound sure of himself. Maybe, he just needed a small nudge in the right direction; Shun gave a firm nod. What other way could there be? They were taking the only viable path.

"Of course we are. People's lives depend on the completion of this ritual."

"Lives, right... I gotta... do somethin' with the seeds..."

Sparks was definitely confused. He hung back from Shun and Yeul, not looking too trusting. A few weeks ago, they had gone to look for the seeds, but the field was empty. The seeds were needed for this ritual. Sparks had purposely misled them so they wouldn't find any-- No, that wasn't right. He remembered being just as frustrated as everyone else about going out of their way for nothing.

"...No, this-- This ain't right. Somethin's fishy. Red's right. Why wouldn't we have everyone in on this?"

"Perhaps they're being controlled, and don't even know it."

Satoru had just gotten done with his part and was walking back, Yuki sitting as usual upon his shoulder. The words where less of a question and more of a statement, eyes bright and a smile on his face. Clearly he had no doubts that what they were doing was right, at least that's the image he put off.

His talent for lies really could trip up even the devil at times.

"They could have been affected while we were dead, probably also why the moogle’s had come to us with this mission instead of gone to the town themselves." he puts a hand against Sparks shoulder, trying his best to reassure him. "I'm sure they'll come around once everything is done."

And then he's walking towards Shun, his lover, his boyfriend, and greets him with a small kiss to the cheek. "What did I miss?" he asks and turns to the other two, smiling brightly when he sees Yeul, hand on his hip.

"Yeah, I mean, I thought that, but--" Adding another person to the mix was only making this more of a headache, and the marshal rubbed at his forehead with one of his robotic gloves.

"But see, the thing is, I don't remember any moogle comin' to me about this. I mean, after I got sick things got a little fuzzy, but..."

He suddenly trailed off, eyes narrowing. Things were coming into focus now. He had gotten sick. Very sick. He was even bedridden a day or two before... before what? Didn't Red just say something about people dying?

Sparks turned that suspicious look to the others. "Reckon I know who's bein' controlled, here", he said carefully.

Yeul looked up at Shun and lightly grabbed onto the edge of his shirt. She was used to having a guardian and without him she prefered to stay behind someone that she knew. She was happy to see Satoru but she didn't know which side he was on.

She feared that Sparks had lost sight of the truth and she knew nothing she could say would persawy him if he had once again been fooled.
