Summary: The Heroes of Light have lost consciousness and now find themselves in the middle of nowhere, without their Moogles and away from everything they know. EVENT: THE ENDLESS CYCLE

[ It certainly wasn’t what should be in such a place. And yet, in the midst of their trip, these Heroes of Light would stumble upon a Golden Triangle floating above the ground, peacefully rotating as if it waited for its new owner. The Golden Triangle reacted to those Zelda and Link possessed, causing the symbol of the Triforce to flare on the back of their hand. If the rules hadn’t changed, this could only mean one thing… ]

( from the moment they had been approached, midna's red gaze had been locked on that triangle. although it seemed to float innocently enough on its own, she had her suspicions...

looking from link to zelda, it was as though she waited for their assessment. bearers of the triforce were the ones best suited to judge, after all... )

Well? Is there any reason to believe this is the real thing?

[Zelda's throat dries and a knot begins to tighten in her stomach. Both her and Link have pieces of the triforce. They had been given the legendary relics a few months before; gifted by the Queen. Even now she had it with her.

She looks over towards Midna and nods her head.]

It might be. Both Link and I were gifted Courage and Wisdom...

[She tries to keep her voice strong but it's hard to banish the worry.]

[Sweat creeps down the surface of his skin, a veil of nervousness covering his expression better than the effort it takes to remain composed. Eyebrows furrow, making the knight's face look sharper with worry. Even holding onto the gift of Courage, Link could not help but hold to anxiousness rather than look at the golden artifact with wonder.]

.. The real question is, what reasons do we have to think it isn't the real thing? It's true that there are many things here taken from the worlds we came from, but a lot of things here have also been fake. Traps set up to lure us in.

Yet..

[There had to be some purpose, some invisible string which plucked them and pulled them to the lure now floating before them. There had to be a reason for their being here in this exact spot and in front of the glowing triangle for which they knew to be, if not a recreation, the Trifoce of Power.]

But why would it be here of all places?

( eye glued to the object, ideas started to race through midna's head. if it was real, all three pieces of the triforce reunited... to think what they could do with that power. the pathway to the scared realm... a pathway home? )

Link. Zelda. ( she drifted just slightly closer to the object. ) Hold your hands up, like this. ( she indicated, thinking to the times she had seen it herself. ) Should they glow, then...

( she didn't suppose the sacred power they possessed could be so easily fooled. )

[Bloom had little to no idea what exactly was going on. After all these people seem to know one another and they all seem to be aware of what was before them, but yet she was a little out of the loop. But it seemed like they knew what they were doing for the moment.

All she could do for the time being is watch and wonder what might happen.]

[ Should they do as Midna suggested and hold their hand up, something unexpected would happen-- Though all things considered, maybe it was to be expected. After all, the three triangles had once been one and were fated to get back together.

It was why the Triforce would emerge from their hands and float toward the floating Triforce of power, growing bigger and rotating until it would form the actual, completed Triforce.

But it couldn't be right, could it? ]

[Zelda has no reason not to follow Midna's instruction and so she holds up her hand as instructed. Her eyes widen as the triforce reforms.]

It's can't be.

[From her expression Bloom can assume that this isn't a good thing.]

Why?

[Hesitation had kept him from doing what needed to be done before. He'd seen his friends, even the woman he loved, harmed due to his wavering mind and the instinct to take action.

Link would not let this moment, this important point in time, become like so many where he'd faltered out of fear and confusion.

Boots hit the ground with each thundering, confident step, closing the distance between the glowing triumvirate and his hand. Reaching out, with his eyes closed and focused, the knight from Skyloft extends his fingers out to touch the gathered pieces of the Triforce.]

[Bloom kept her eyes on their expressions. Zelda didn't seem to pleased about it, so perhaps it was not a good thing for it being here? Never the less, Bloom was prepared to defend if she had to should anything actually happen.]

( the cogs in midna's mind began to turn, trying to work out a plan as her eye skipped over all three pieces of the triforce, finally together as one. if she could take hold of it, and somehow things go wrong, at least then she would still be able to count on link and zelda to take care of things...

yes, she thought, she would be the most expendable here in a situation like that, and just as she opened her mouth— a smear of green ran past her.

eye wide, she was probably too late, but still, she shouted — ) Link! What are you— stop!

Link!

[Zelda knows the roots of the triforce and she knows what happens should someone touch it. While she knows Link means well, this isn't their world and whatever happens can backfire horribly.

They need to separate it, to protect it, that is her charge.]

[ The Triforce shone when Link touched it and his wish resonated with the golden triangles-- To be strong enough to protect Zelda and everyone else. At first, it seemed as though the Triforce was reacting normally enough, the way it was intended to.

But then something unexpected happened. It wasn't from the Triforce, no this part was working just fine, it was from Crystallis itself. A crystallized pillar shot from the ground and hit Link directly, not piercing him but crystallizing him-- Before the crystallized Link and pillar both shattered into countless pieces. It all happened within mere seconds and after that, the Triforce remained just where it had been. ]

( it almost seemed to happen in slow motion. midna could nearly feel her eye widening slowly, her mouth starting to gape as the scene unfolded in front of her.

but she didn't scream. the imp clamped her teeth shut, holding it in, tiny hand balling into a fist with a pained— ) Geh!

[dragonflame]

[Bloom had no idea what was going on, but that was not okay. Bloom had moved forward slightly, she was going to make sure no one else goes near it because right now it was not safe.]

I can take a guess that was not meant to happen?

Link!

[Tears gather in Zelda's eyes, her arms reaching out even as the boy vanishes. She looks to the other two and then the triforce.]

It shouldn't be formed.

[Not here.]

[ Link didn't reform and he was indeed dead-- Or at the very least, as dead as a Hero of Light could be on Crystallis. Meaning he would appear crystallized by the Crystal of Fire in Aqures Ixen and return to life as well as ever within seven days.

However, they didn't know that and the voice resounding around them wasn't about to tell them otherwise. ]

Foolish light-dwellers... You are correct, this shouldn't be formed on this world. The planet itself killed him to prevent the wish from coming true.

[fusedshadows]

( light-dwellers... no, there was no way! midna had yet to meet anyone else that would have referred to these people as such... damn these tricks this world played! )

The triforce is not a tool to be used by this world! ( she clenched her teeth, nearly sneering — ) If it is nothing more than a parlour trick here in Crystallis, then give us one good reason not to destroy it here and now!
