It's a possibility.
[She does wonder about the native races that are prevalent in this world, however. Then again, the vast majority of Heroes brought to Crystallis are human. What if there were branches of the universe where Moogles were the dominant race, or Bangaa?]
[Rukia sighs and leans back in her chair.]
It frustrates me how little we still know about this world, and why we are here.
no subject
[grumbles]
The idea of being something's plaything for their amusement does not sit well with me.
no subject
[Damn, and she was in such a good mood, too. Rukia leans back in her chair with a sigh, staring up at the ceiling as she tips the water glass to her lips.]
...Do you think we should come back for them? They're living a little too close to the Calamity for comfort.
no subject
I... don't think so.
They're living their lives here, with no memories. Why drudge up those pasts if maybe they're better off without it? And even if we tried to, what guarantee do we have that we could save all of them? I want to think our main priority is protecting those closest to us first.
If there is an opportunity later on to come back for them, it might work. But we don't have that many hands to give to that effort efficiently.
no subject
...Maybe we're not doing enough.
[She steeples her fingers, her empty glass set aside for now.]
We don't know how to fight the Calamity, but we have access to airships, and boats. There has to be a safe place we can move them.
no subject
We can discuss the logistics of such a plan once we get back. It will require a lot of work and planning on everyone's part.
no subject
[It does feel a little strange, not seeing any Moogles around. She never thought she'd grow accustomed to having them present.]
...So. What was your father like?
[Because when Rukia thinks about it, she doesn't know much about Flynn's past and background. They're friends, she should understand more about him.]
no subject
Finath Scifo... he died when I was young. Sometimes it feels like Yuri remembers him better than I do. He was a noble, caring man, and put his duty to protect others above all else.
I hope to one day emulate him and honor his memory.
no subject
[Judging by the new elevation of her eyebrows, Rukia's surprised to hear that Flynn doesn't seem to think he's good enough. Is his self-esteem truly so low?]
You already embody these traits from what I have seen. I'm not certain how much further you think you can aspire.
no subject
[Flynn sits down, wistfully recalling his memories.]
That's the problem with death, really.
no subject
[Rukia makes her quip with a wry smile. She would know all about being dead, after all.]
I won't begrudge you your efforts or aspirations, so long as they do not cripple your strength. Self doubt and exhaustion never served anyone.
[She reaches forward to grip his forearm and squeeze reassuringly.]
You are a fine warrior. If you need reminding, you have but to ask.
