Event || Revelations

Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[He's still soaked. After getting up on his hooves and looking around the ground, that's the first that occurs to him. Standing somewhere dry after having stood in the rain with Lydia and Ed leaves Dylas both confused and, for the first time in a long while, feeling completely chilled.

Before he can even process all of this, a subconscious desire to shake off the rain hits him. And being mostly fur and hair, that means shaking himself off like a wet animal.

Sorry, everyone standing next to him. All he can wonder is if he died again, but...there sure are a lot of dead people here if that's the case.]

Something went wrong, didn't it.

[He has no other thoughts except the obvious.]

( it's lucky for you, dylas, that midna had grown accustomed to animals shaking themselves off like that, though a gentle— ) Hmph. ( still accompanies a motion to wipe any stray droplets off of her arms. )

It never fails, does it... ( 'they' always had something else up their sleeve, just when it seemed like they were bound to fall to the 'heroes.' as she floats up to a reasonable height, she's looking around. )

This is no place I recognize... ( was it another time again? or just somewhere in crystallis far off an undiscovered? or maybe somewhere different altogether... )

[Ah. Of course it'd be her. Hopefully Midna isn't too wet, he's a little embarrassed now. At least his mane and his hair are drier.]

What never fails?

[He tugs on his wet jacket, soaked almost through, but ultimately decides to just keep it on despite how cold it makes this place feel.]

Is this even a place? It looks like some kind of...empty hell. You alright?

That those cowards run away when they're about to fall, tch. ( she scans the area once more, apparently satisfied with the lack of palitutu she comes up with. )

Whoever sent us here is bound to be stuck with us somewhere, and if they know a way out, all we have to do is follow them. ( that's the answer to your question dylas. i guess she's just fine. )

What cowards? Who's the coward here?

[His ears move up and down. He has no idea what she's referring to, mostly because he continues to be incredibly ignorant of events surrounding everything here. He couldn't even name an NPC without a few hint coins.]

...You're not suggesting those glowing portal things, are you.

[That sounds like a pain, but everyone else is looking them, aren't they? Ears flick down, his tail gives a low and aggressive swish.]

My guess is that insufferable Palitutu. ( and did you know she's usually right, dylas? ) And now she's playing a game of hide-and-seek.

( her eye narrows in thought as she looks towards the closest portal. jumping into one right off the bat seemed like something for those more foolish than she was. ) Hmm. I'd rather take a look around here, first.

( and she starts to float away, turning to make sure he's following. ) Well? You're not just going to stand there, are you?

( there aren't even any fish. )

[She's sometime wrong in memes!]

This is going to be a real pain in the ass, isn't it.

[He's going to start patting his fur and trying to look a bit more presentable. It isn't working. Dylas really needs to have an hour of grooming time, he's a mess now that he's wet.]

What makes you think I'm coming with you, again? [But he says that after he's already started walking after her.] This place...isn't right. It's too damn empty.

( no, never. not even then.

she rolls her eye playfully while her back is still turned to him. she kept floating right on, sensing that he was still close behind, since hearing him move had never been an option from the get-go.

so for now, she'll ignore that comment about not coming along. ) There's some kind of... protective barrier. ( her eye narrowed as she pressed on ahead, apparently searching for something... )

...How can you tell?

[Dylas isn't aware of any barrier, though if there was...it'd probably be so that they don't fall to their deaths, he figures. Sure looks like these lands end pretty abruptly.]

We're going to have to find water.

[He's just putting that out there. They could thirst to death.]

[Akane is the one leading the way on this little mission for information. Just as they draw close to the dripping wet Wendigo, he shakes himself off. STAND BACK BROTHER! Akane steps in front of Aoi, because guess who's got the unfashionable poncho? That's right, totally worth tripping..........okay, maybe she would have rather got a little wet instead of faceplanting into the ground, but at least the poncho served kind of a useful purpose.]

Dylas!

[She calls out to him as they approach.]

Do you know what happened? Were you there on the plains?

[Aoi's not above ducking behind Akane and letting her poncho shield him. He doesn't wanna get nasty deer-fur water in his hair. Gross.]

Dude, what the fuck!?

[It's more to himself that to Dylas, so he's mostly letting Akane do the talking here.]

[Maybe it's deer water, maybe it's neighbeline. He might've gotten most of the water out (and he looks away sheepishly as Akane gets closer), but he wrings some of the water from his hair.]

I wasn't on the plains, no. I was with Ed and that...short girl at the crystal.

[Sorry, Lydia, he forgot the name already.]

He afraid of water or something?

[He doesn't even look at Santa, he keeps his eyes on Akane.]

Deathly afraid.

[Akane giggles, because what's a little teasing between brother and sister?]

I was on my way there too. Then suddenly, bam! Here we all are. I guess you don't know what happened either then?

[Because she kind of doubts he went ahead and asked anyone. Because he's Dylas.]

Deathly afraid of smellin' like a gross animal, maybe. [He grumbles, and reaches forward to tug on Akane's poncho sleeve.]

C'mon, Mr. Personality here doesn't know a goddamn thing and you know it. [He's usually down for trolling his sister's deer neighbor, but today, there's more pressing matters, and they need to wendi-go.]

Can you ask him to speak up? I can't hear what that runt is saying.

[He's just going to ignore Santa, because why not? He's all the way up here, and Santa is...somewhere over there, who cares, he's keeping his eyes on Akane.]

I don't know yet. But there's some kind of barrier. Midna went to check it out.

[So he doesn't know anything, but he's also not going to be bothered by it when Santa clearly knows even less than he does.]

Hey, come on! We can't spend the rest of our afterlives fighting.

[A little morbid for a joke, but OH WELL.]

Maybe we should go check it out too, just in case it's dangerous.

What, your ears ain't big enough or something? [What, were those giant things just for decoration or what?]

Of course you wanna go toward the potentially dangerous barrier. Why not? [Akane trying to get herself killed again, nbd. Santa's not letting her go first, though. It's either gonna be him in front or the damned deer. Somebody more expendable than his kid sister.]

Hold on, I'm picking up something whiny and unimportant. ...It must've passed.

[His ears twitch a few times, and then he shakes his head. Oh, he's intent on being nice and listening to Akane, but has Santa earned that? Nope.]

I'll come with you. I'm more or less used to dangerous things.

[Akane glances between the two of them. She can't tell if they dislike each other, or if Santa has at long last found his people.]

We don't know if it's dangerous or not. But if it is, we probably shouldn't let your friend inspect it all alone. Which way did Midna go?

[She chooses the right. Dylas can correct her if she's going the wrong way.]

[Santa could keep pestering Dylas, but despite his annoying responses to Santa, Dylas is offering to go with Akane into danger. So he's got that going for him. And he likes Midna ok. She's a sassy little...whatever she is. He follows behind the two of them.]

Alright, let's go check it out.

[He doesn't like Santa, but he follows after Akane dutifully! He kind of owes her an apology still. He'll get around to that in a few months. But Santa? Nah, not interested.]

She went the other way.

[Which is good, he thinks, since they should split up. We'll assume Midna joined up with someone else before Dylas got the urge to shake water all over the submarine ending crew.]

...There's gotta be food and water around here somewhere, right?

[Is he the only one worried about that. He hasn't come across a portal yet, so.]

It doesn't look like there's anything on this side of the barrier.

[She's looking all around her, but other than a big flat stone floor, all she sees are other heroes, and those aren't exactly edible. ~~RIGHT, DYLAS?~~ But she does see a small group disappearing through a glowing portal. Akane's eyes widen, and she points at them as her head whips around to look at the dynamic duo behind her.]

Did you guys see that? There are magic doors here!

[Those seem way more interesting than the barrier, but...]

Do you want to check them out, or still look at the barrier?

Who cares about where we can't get through. Let's get out of this place.

[Santa's voting to make for the portal like it's the Number 9 door in a Nonary Game. If Dylas is thirsty, he can wring out his fur into a cup and the stop his whining.]

Come on, Akane. Make sure you stick with me this time.

[Akane flinches at that.]

I only got incinerated that one time!

[Heaving a sigh, she turns to wave dismally at Dylas.]

Well...good luck, Dylas. Stay safe!

[And she's hurrying after her big brother.]
