Event || Revelations

Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

In the meantime, Lydia and Betel-Po may happen to stumble across Selphie and Jaelyn. The perky brunette had been out on the front lines, fighting to the defend the city and had almost bitten it a couple of times but was still alive. And very, very tired. She'd been awake for a few hours and had been wandering about the Sanctuary trying to process what all had happened in the Rift.

It was still quite a bit for Selphie to process as she sat down next to a tall, narrow crystal pillar with a tired sigh. Jaelyn hovered close to Selphie out of concern as the brunette leaned back against the crystal.

"Selphie?" Jaelyn asked gently. "This isn't the time to be sleeping..."

"Mmmm," Selphie whined a bit. "Just a few minutes, okay Jaelyn?"

Lydia wasn't surprised that Selphie was tired. Given how she looked, and what Lydia had discovered about the battle, it made more than enough sense. Betel-Po, however was taken with an idea of mischief as the two approached. Fluttering over, hoping this might make Lydia cheer up some too, he winked at Jaelyn.

"Just leave it to me kupo." The striped-moogle whispered, before approaching the sleeping Hero. Drawing a deep breath and focusing--as he had to do this perfectly. "Lady Selphie, your prince has come to awaken you with a kiss." Proud that he'd managed to avoid kupos in his speech, and lowered his voice some too. The mischievous moogle moved in to plant a nice wet kiss on Selphie's lips.

Betel-Po isn't the Prince that Selphie was imagining but her thoughts might have gone to happier places for a moment. The perky brunette's eyes slowly opened, confused about the sudden kiss before her eyes widened and she flung the moogle away from her. That was her first kiss and it came from a mischievous moogle that should've known better. Selphie wanted her first kiss to be special as she screamed loudly in shock, her face a bright pink.

"N-not funny!" Selphie exclaimed before hiding her face in her hands.

Betel-Po's eyes were just as wide as he was thrown away, and he grumbled to himself. Lydia was shaking her head, but there was a resigned smile--she wasn't surprised by her moogle's antics. "Hi Selphie, I'm sorry about that." Overall she was still annoyed, but at least BP had put her less inclined to be shouting for the moment.

The redness in Selphie's cheeks wasn't going down as she peered through her opened fingers at Lydia. There was a slightly mortified look in the eyes of the perky brunette before she scrambled to her feet and shot a very dirty look in BP's direction. That was one stunt that Selphie wasn't going to be forgiving the moogle for for a very long time.

"Uh... Lydia?" Selphie managed to squeak out as her hands fell to her sides. "I'm gonna have to kill your moogle now."

She cast a very mischievous grin in Betel-Po's direction. "I've been looking for a pom-pom for a winter hat. Whaddya say, BP? Ready to sacrifice yours yet?"

Betel-Po moved, noticing the glare and hiding behind Lydia's leg. "...that's gratitude for ya, kupo." He muttered, watching Selphie like a hawk--even if he stayed hiding behind Lydia for protection.

"I think I'll have to veto that Selphie, but I'll make you a winter hat with pom if you want. And we'll think of something duly appropriate and embarrassing for a punishment for him, alright?" Just no killing.

"He can start by apologizing for stealing a girl's first kiss."

Selphie pointed at Betel-Po and didn't even bother to hide the embarrassment that she was feeling from all of this. "And he can do advertising for Cuppa Kupo for a week whenever we get back to Aqures Ixen."

But the apology was going to be a very good place to start.

"I think that is MORE than reasonable, and I'll think of at least one more thing too." Lydia replied, turning and pulling out the moogle from behind her. "Start with an apology."

"But I was just trying to cheer you up kupo."

"Which is sweet, but you still need to say you're sorry. You hurt her feelings badly."

"But..." Because even if Betel-Po did feel badly now, he still was glad that Lydia had cheered up." Then Lydia was glaring even more, and he sighed. Fluttering over to Selphie, a look back at his own hero showed her arms crossed and her ire back. He looked up at Selphie, and clasped his hands. "I'm...I didn't mean to embarrass you Selphie kupo." His mouth was twisting a bit, as he wasn't used to apologizing. Paws going behind his back, he looked down. "I was trying to make Lydia cheer up again kupo, and I didn't know it would hurt you." But he knew what Lydia (and Selphie) expected him to say, and how he felt--even if the words were hard to say. "I'm..sor...sor." A deeep breath. "I'm sorry, kupo."

Selphie listened quietly, not entirely sure what to make of the whole situation. Her arms crossed over her chest as she cast her gaze down at the ground. The barren landscape and her own boots were far more interesting as she eventually sighed at hearing the apology. There were bigger things at stake than wanting to kill a moogle who made a bad decision as the perky brunette let her arms fall to her sides.

She's still not impressed with Betel-Po but she still reached out and patted his head lightly. "Don't do it again, buster."

"If it'll help kupo, I'll prank any guy who breaks your heart!" He offered, accepting the pat and reaching up a paw to grab her hand in turn. His way of trying to make things better, as he really hadn't meant to hurt her.

"I'm sorry too Selphie." Lydia murmured, smile sad but there all the same. "It's...well you know how it's been. BP tends to be protective, I've noticed."

Selphie's eyebrows raised in surprise at Betel-Po's offer of pranking people on her behalf. That was something she hadn't been expecting and it works in making her crack a grin. It was a tired grin but she could feel the sincerity in his words.

"Yeah..." Selphie nodded her head a couple times. "I wish things had gone a little differently but we can't do anything about that now."

"Yeah...it's just...it's getting old." Lydia shook her head, her own smile morphing into a tired grin. "How did things go? You're alright?"

"Well," Selphie began carefully. "We were really disorganised as a group out there. Nobody knew what the other was doing in the beginning but eventually, it looks like a lot of us split off into different groups to attack the different arms. We won though? I don't think we'd be wherever we are if we hadn't..."

She gave Lydia a tired smile. "I used a lot of magic and I'm feeling really tired."

Lydia nodded, and moved to dig through her messenger bag under her cloak. She really...hadn't much that might help. She'd gotten some things--but really, she knew that at best she and any who'd stayed behind would be the last line. Most-likely they'd be cannon-fodder and slaughtered, and then what good would any supplies she'd laid in?

But she had gotten some minor restoration potions. To keep them going energy wise, as well as health wise. One of these was fished out and offered to Selphie. "Somehow, I'm not surprised at all."

Selphie accepted the potion and downed it quickly, grimacing at the aftertaste left behind in her mouth. It helped to restore some of her magic stores and was enough to bring back some of Selphie's usual spunk. Said spunk however, was kept in check given the severity of the situation they were all in.

"Well," she continued. "Some people wanted to reason with Palitutu and then there was some idiot in a red and black mask that was just spoiling for a fight. It pretty much came down to Palitutu wanting to test our mettle. We beat the WEAPON thankfully but not before we were all brought here."

Selphie sighed lightly before standing up. "I really think we could've been better prepared for all of this."

That thought did bring a small laugh, not quite a chuckle. "Selphie, that could describe almost ANY activity we've all been engaged in, as far as I can tell. Well, I mean, I don't know." Lydia shrugged, before continuing. "The battle last year seemed to go well, from all I've heard--at least until Kalki sent us all into the past."

"Wait, what?" Selphie stopped.

She stood perfectly still, staring at Lydia in confusion. Kalki was the one who'd forced her to awaken in the first place but she could also send people into the past? This was too confusing. Too cryptic. Too vague.

"Run that by me again? Kalki sent everybody into the past like how that weirdo sent all of us here?" Selphie questioned.
