Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[Santa's angry face immediately shifts to a look of suspicion.]

Whaddaya mean, 'apparently'? You were there. Right? [He has never been much for personal space on a good day, and now, he's stepping closer and closer to Duster so they can talk without others listening in.]

[Personal space isn't that much of an issue when Duster and Santa have been much closer only a few days ago. He grimaces and hesitates, but doesn't move from the spot.]

I was fighting, but I died in that big magic attack. I don't know exactly how it all ended.

[Whoops?]

[Whoops? WHOOPS? Santa is back into rage mode.]

You fucking DIED? What the fuck?! Where were the goddamn healers, the paladins? I'm gonna kick their fucking asses!

[He starts running his hands along Duster's arms, then his torso, as if he's expecting to find some gaping wound in his boyfriend. Who the fuck lets the bard take a killing blow when there are tanks on the team?]

Are you still hurt? I'm gonna make them pay for this.

Aoi, wait, no--

[He grabs hold of his arms, gripping his spear in his other hand. This isn't the time to overreact, and Duster narrows his gaze.]

Everyone got hit by that attack. I got hurt while trying to knock out an arm, okay? [His closes his eyes and relaxes before opening them again. He's not mad, just...needs his boyfriend to calm down.] It's not their fault. I'm okay now.

[If Santa calms down, Duster will loosen his grip.]

[Santa does not calm down, but his anger does give way to something else.]

Goddamn it...I shoulda been there to protect you. I knew I couldn't count on anyone else for that.

[Feeling Duster's hands gripping him, seeing that he's ok now, still doesn't alleviate his guilt. It's Aoi's responsibility to take care of the people who matter. He leans into Duster just a little.]

I won't leave you alone again. I'm sorry. I should've been there.

It's not your fault either.

[As much as Santa shouldn't take entire responsibility of Duster's well-being, Duster is too used to being taken care of. His friends rescue him, drag him out on a journey, and he sticks with them. There's something he doesn't like about Aoi's reaction, but he can't put his finger on it.

With Aoi intimately closer, Duster lets go of his arm and loosely holds Aoi's wrists. Everyone looking their way can see what's happening, two guys holding onto one another and whispering in a private moment.]

...I got myself into trouble. I knew I could die, but that was when I knew I'd come back.

[...Even though it wasn't a painful death, having someone to hold onto does relieve Duster of the weight of their mortality.]

But not everybody wakes up when they die. You can't take that risk!

[He lets his hands rest on Duster's wrists so they're linked together. He's not gonna kiss him or anything when they're in public, but he can at least do that.]

And...you know...if you keep putting yourself in danger, everyone's gonna worry about you. [I'm going to worry about you.]

[He knows. Crystallis is a special world were the dead do come back. Sometimes. Death doesn't frighten Duster when he can come back in a week, nor does crystallization. There's so much he will lose if he never comes back.]

...Look, I promise you I won't do anything risky from now on. I want to live through the end of all this...and I won't worry you.

[He glances at their joined hands, resting against each other's wrists. Aoi's hands look as strong as his own, but his fingers are smoother than Duster's. Aoi is tough dude, even if tries to look tougher than he really is, but he's just as fragil of a human being. They're all at risk here, not just the fighters.]

...Promise me you'll do the same.

[Santa releases his hold on Duster's wrists and puffs out his chest a little.]

You don't gotta worry about me. I got the skills to get myself outta a fight if it goes south. I don't plan on sticking around if a fight gets too dangerous.

[His seer combo doesn't do jack shit in a fight, but it'll let him flee from most any battle.]

[Of course that's his response. Aoi is the type of guy to brag about how well he handles things, and that's why Duster likes him.]

Good. [He smiles and lets his hands relax by his side.] There's another thing we found. There's some portals around the edge of this clearing, and we think Palitutu escaped through one of those.

["We" meaning Duster and K'pandolu, but the other Heroes have figured that out themselves as well.</small] I don't know what's waiting for us on the other side, but we can't stay here forever.

[Aoi looks toward the clearing.]

Ok, let's go. There's no point hangin' around here, lettin' her get a head start.

[It's obvious they've gotta go eventually, and Santa's not the type to wait around, putting things off when they need doing.]
