Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[Selphie nodded carefully in response.]

Tired but okay. I'll survive though. You?

[There is no chance in hell that Selphie was mentioning the turret self destructing with her in its path. Actually, she wouldn't mention much about her activity in the battle unless prompted. She patted her weapon with a fond smile.]

Courtesy of Cid. When we get back to Aqures Ixen, we can ask about a Gunblade for you. Sound like a plan?

[shear_trigger]

[Squall eyes her with a suspicious gaze. She was terrible at hiding things.]

...

[If she didn't want to tell him the truth about how she was feeling then he wasn't going to go out of his way to press her about it.]

We'll see. [He says shortly, looking away from her and at their surroundings.]

Do you know what this place is?

[boomchucka]

[Selphie knew that Squall was onto her and she nodded lightly. Once they knew what was going on and could get a moment or ten to talk, she'd give a report about the battle. She's fully healed thanks to her Limit Break so it was largely just mana drain.]

I'll tell you later but I really am okay.

[Selphie continued on, gazing around the area.]

I have no clue where we are. Last time something like this happened, we were whisked away to another part of Crystallis but not to some weird place. It doesn't look like anyone's been here for a long time though.

[shear_trigger]

[Squall nods at her, fully expecting her to keep her word. He really wasn't in any mood to deal with guessing games right now.]

We better be careful. Something doesn't feel right about this place.

[boomchucka]

[Selphie didn't want to make him guess either so she'd be as forthcoming with info as possible.]

Yeah... This place is super mega creepy...

[shear_trigger]

[Squall scans the area again, noticing that there were various eerier portals about as well. Curious. He wasn't sure any of them were safe, but with nothing else to go by he points at one.]

Maybe one of those lead back.

Squall's gonna kill her one of these days. XD

[boomchucka]

[Selphie wanders over to the portal that Squall was pointing and looking at it curiously. She'll pull an empty potion bottle from a pouch pocket and drop it into the portal.]

There's only one way to find out though.

[And she jumps through the portal without thinking.]

Selphie-

[That did not mean just throw yourself into a portal without any regard to what could happen there was a thing called being careful?]

No!

[Squall lets out an aggravated sigh and approaches the portal. Well now he had to follow her just to make sure she wasn't dead.

But she was going to be after he was done with her.

He follows into the portal.]

[So it was probably one of the dumbest ideas she'd ever had and it was going to get her killed one of these days. It didn't stop the perky brunette from being herself.

The light in the portal was bright enough to have Selphie's eyes clamping shut. It's like floating in zero gravity for the briefest of moments before her feet are landing on solid ground. She heard more than saw initially before she gingerly opened her eyes to a sight that she hasn't seen in quite some time. She stares at the familiar building in front of her in shock and disbelief.

The stage, the foliage, the sunlight streaming in from far above her and the bustling of SeeD and cadet alike had her stepping back and taking the atmosphere in that she thought she'd lost for good.]

Garden...?

[Selphie moved to sit on the stage while she stared at everything wistfully.]

What in the world is that Rift anyway?

[shear_trigger]

[A few long minutes later Squall follows with a slight stumble as he comes through the portal to see his feet land on familiar granite floors. He looks up as panic and amazement start to roll in his stomach.

He was in the Quad? Home? Was this really happening...?

Squall's eyes land on Selphie sitting on the stage.]

Is this real...?

[There's a real sense of relief washing over him but also an uncertain feel of anxiety. If this was a farce or dream...]

the feels... THE FEELS

[Selphie pinched herself and winced at the pain it caused as she looked toward Squall who'd stumbled back into their world just like she had. She'd try to hide the look on her face, in her eyes behind her customary shield but this was too surreal to hide behind a wall. Her gaze eventually settled on staring at Squall in stunned silence.

Selphie's face was contorting between joy, shock, disbelief and outright sadness before letting her head droop. Her bangs covered her eyes as she couldn't bear to look at any of this and not feel outrage at the Tarutaru who'd dragged her away from all of this.]

We're going to lose this place if we don't do something...

[Her words are small but fierce before she looks up at Squall with fire in her eyes.]

I'm not losing another Garden to someone else's whims!
