When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

( yuna had had a whirlwind of a time navigating through this world, things were much more futuristic than she was used to. but finally, she had managed to make her way over to what someone had instructed her was some kind of machina a— "database" they called it.

somehow she'd be able to find someone to assist her through this. )

Now let's see...

( despite her al bhed heritage, this sort of thing didn't come as naturally to her, but after only a few wrong turns through the various menus, her eyes widened at a name she knew. )

Zell! Could it be...

( following the instructions that popped up, she put in her application to run through the exam. turning away, she went towards what looked to be the way out. wondering if he'd really show up... )

[Yuna may have been waiting for a little while. It took a little bit of time for Quistis to find Zell and inform him of the request, but soon he was jogging to the gates. Since saving the world, there were a few cadets who specifically asked to have him for their exam even though Zell wasn't really an instructor and never wanted to be one.

He enjoyed seeing Ifrit again, at least, and it brought a grin to his expression before he even made it to the gates.

When he did make it to the gates, he slowed down and looked at the only person who seemed to be waiting. His grin turned into a friendly smile and he extended his hand.]

Yo! I'm Zell Dincht, you the cadet who put in the request?

[grandsummon]

( she heard him before she saw him, eyes going wide when she finally looked up. it was him! ) Zell! It's really you!

( yuna hurries over, looking just slightly up as she seems to stir with excitement. ) Did you come here through the portal as well? I wasn't sure that machina would work to really summon you! Do you... know where this place is?

Yeah, it's... really me.

[A hand moved to the back of his head, a little embarrassed. Usually it was Squall who had the fans, even though some people still wanted to meet him in person. He wasn't used to such an enthusiastic greeting.

But then she started talking about portals and 'machina' and wondering where this place was. He put his hands on her arms, trying to get her to slow down.]

Whoa, whoa, hang on! You...

[Maybe... she was confused? Though he wasn't sure how it would be cast on her around here. Still, he cast an Esuna just in case.]

You alright there?

Of course, I mean, it was so sudden that we all were brought here, and we've lost track of Palitutu but... ( in a moment of clarity, she stopped. perhaps it was the gentle feeling of his hands against her arms that grounded her, hammering home the possibility that— )

You... don't remember me, do you... ( her words trailed off. you'd think she'd have been used to this by now. but then, that must mean— )

This is— your home, isn't it.

[He frowns lightly as the Esuna doesn't seem to do anything. It would be weird for Confuse to still be active after a fight anyway, but he had to at least try it. Maybe it was something else? He could try getting someone to use treatment on her... or maybe she needed to see the doctor?

He didn't think much of not remembering her... he'd seen a lot of people and was friendly to most of them. But if all he ever said was 'hi' to her once in passing, that might have been something he forgot. But it was her comment on this being his home that broke through his concerned wondering.]

Yeah, it's your home too! Ah, I mean, second home.

[He tried to give her a reassuring smile. Maybe she just... had a strange dream and was really nervous about the test? At the very least they could do the fire cavern and see how she felt afterwards.]

C'mon, you're still up for the fire cavern, right? Don't worry about it bein' a test, you'll do fine! And I'll be right there with ya!

( yuna supposed she sounded crazy enough to have deserved that esuna. the withdrew further into herself, seeming to shrink with the realization of what was happening here. poor zell couldn't be further from the truth. this wasn't her home, first, second... not even close. )

Umm. ( she sighs. ) I... I'm sorry. I must have confused you for someone else. ( like another version of yourself, maybe... )

Wait— the fire cavern! ( she brightened again, finally. ) That's where Ifrit should be, isn't that right?

Yeah, he's there.

[But Zell was concerned for her. She knew about Ifrit, but didn't remember Garden? That was definitely weird. Also, he was pretty sure from her reaction earlier she couldn't have been confusing him with someone else. No one else had his hair style or tattoo (that was one of the reasons he got them). And she had said his name.

He should probably take her to Dr. Kadowaki, but... he couldn't help hoping that something would catch her memory. He didn't want to think there was some new spell out there that even Esuna couldn't get rid of. She knew about Ifrit, so maybe seeing him will her?]

The cavern's already reserved for you 'til you complete it, so you can take some time to prepare.

Please, show me the way. ( perhaps if she could ask ifrit what was going on. ifrit lived in many worlds, so if there was even a small chance.

she could only assume this exam was some kind of trial... something like the closiers? no, perhaps even a battle, as so often happened in crystallis. ) I think... I have everything I'll need.
