Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

Ophelia was clinging, part of his mantle clutched in her paws where she rested against his chest and left-arm. "Orpheus!" She exclaimed as the other ball of fluff flung himself and clung to the gunslinger's right-arm. Turning, Vincent was relieved to find Lucrecia alive and mostly well.

A nod in greeting, studying her as she came closer. Had she made it through alright? She looked alright, but the last thing he clearly remembered was getting her to safety, and then Chaos taking over. Everything else was filtered through the demon's eyes. "Which location do you think we ended up in?"

"We were so worried, kupo...!" he interjected, having a feeling in his pom that he wouldn't deny despite his own little sniffles. Lucrecia shifted her stance, somewhat embarrassed as she admitted it with a nod.

"If I had to make a guess," she paused, bringing a finger to her chin as she looked up and around their surroundings. "--it would be Order's Sanctuary. Though when Ultima Weapon had been summoned, I had thought it was all but assured we would be sent through the Rift to the Edge of Madness instead." Perhaps it was something to rejoice, but that would likely have to wait until the others calmed down.

Ophelia moved to pull Orpheus into a hug, which freed up Vincent's right arm and hand, even if he had two moogles now held against his left. Not that he seemed to mind, fingers and arm of his right arm twitching. Almost letting himself reach out, wanting to assure himself that she was alright even with her nod. He'd been worried as well, but then she had to know that.

"If I recall, the program only specified the location based on whether the Weapon was on, or off. Assuming that this is Order's Sanctuary, that would imply we defeated it." Vague memories, filtered through Chaos's eyes, of attacking the Weapon. Unleashing the demonic-fury, and witnessing others doing the same in hopes of bringing it down.

Much more quietly, only for her ears. "You are well, after..." A blink, and he tried again. "Well enough, anyway?"

"We did, thanks to our coordination efforts. It's almost surprising how quickly we pulled it off, and at all." A testament to their audacity and unity, however fragile it may be with a few tempers rising amongst the younger heroes. While she believed they would succeed, she wasn't blind to the risks.

"I'm fine," she responded, almost tempted to raise her arms in a way that simply showed that she didn't have a scratch, save what that entity had done to their crystals. "The risks were something I'd accepted long ago, but..."

In other words, she was more than well, but concerned for the others who were accustomed to a certain level of immortality. Crystallis had granted her the means to be mortal again, but for the others...

She sighed. Perhaps the loss of their effective immortality and its effect on the others wasn't the only risk she was thinking of. Her fears and suspicions had been proven correct, after all. He did still have Chaos' power held within, even though it seemed but a fraction of what she'd sealed away in her lab all those years ago. Coupled with two faces she come to expect to see yet didn't, well.

Lucrecia closed the remaining distance, reaching out with her left hand as if to ask if it were alright. They'd both been bitten once before, after all.

As her hand raised and her concern was clear, his right hand rose to meet, then grasp her own. Gentle, but determined too, leather covering his skin warm against her own. For a brief second, in the back of his mind, Vincent resented that he had two moogles huddled against his chest and occupying his left arm.

Then again, things were ever complicated between them. Perhaps Lucrecia wouldn't welcome anything more than simply a reassuring clasp of hands. Despite his relief at her well-being, he was of two minds as to how to react beyond holding hands.

"It will be a difficult adjustment for many. It also makes one worry what else they may have affected with our crystals, and how things are going while we're stuck here." Keeping to the main topic, before seeking to meet her eyes with his own. "You really are alright?" Fragmented memories of Chaos indicated the battle had continued, and Chaos had cared for little but taking out his chosen target.

As the two Heroes held hands, Orpheus shifted, nudging Ophelia in an attempt to hint that maybe they should move to their right from their current clinging positions. Lucrecia meanwhile, nodded in agreement. Yes, it more than likely would. Especially with the large-scale scavenger hunt. Who knew just what lay beyond those portals?

"I can only speculate," she affirmed. "Yet for once in my life, I'm not so sure I'm willing to test any possible theories."

It is a good thing Orpheus sensed his Hero's intent from the start, for when Vincent asked one more time, Lucrecia sighed. It was the only warning he'd get before she pulled ever closer, joining the two moogles in clinging to her former bodyguard. "You're the one who nearly gave me a heart attack. You tell me." she said jokingly, more grateful she had purchased that phoenix down than she had been on the battlefield itself. She did not need to see him lying there dying again.

Well that took away any concerns over what she might welcome.

Ophelia vacated entirely, willing to flutter nearby and paws clutched in her scarf. Calming down from her initial fright, and looking around them. Trying to take a headcount and be useful. Of course she also stayed near Orpheus, in case he still needed comforting too.

When she moved closer, especially as Ophelia moved away, Vincent had no problem with Lucrecia clinging. So careful, always so careful of his left hand covered in the metal gauntlet and talons, slid around her waist. The hold wasn't quite as tight as when he'd pulled her off the rope and then tried to shield her, but the relief was clear all the same. Relief she was alive, was there and safe, her hand squeezed slightly tighter as well.

"I'm sorry..." But there was a hint of question in the tone, even as he meant it still. She had to know, Vincent would've done it all the same whether he expected to be revived or not. There were still too many complicated things between them.
