Event || Revelations

Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[Whatever happened, they were all stuck on this path together. For good or ill, as the others who seemed to be rather... displeased with their current lots. It was almost funny, how similar it was to home.

Well, she is no bard, but perhaps this would help. At least to calm the panic in the Moogle companions like Falon who hasn't stopped clinging to her arm and whimpering.]

Shadows fall, and hope has fled
Steel your heart, the dawn will come

[True to the intent of the song, a hooded moogle flutters over to Ellana as she sings. There's something unique about this one. In addition to the hood she wears and the mail satchel that most of the moogles carry with them, this one also seens to have a specially sized sword on a belt around her waist.

She speaks up when Ellana finishes.]

That was pretty, kupo~

[Falon at some point had started to hum along, letting go of his Hero's arm, nodded in agreement and in welcome to his fellow moogle. Ellana, for all her faults, spared a small laugh.]

Thank you, Vhenallin. [She bows her head slightly, glad at least one thought so and--hopefully felt some small amount of comfort from its message.] While I do not believe in the god those who ordinarily sing this tune worship, I hope the meaning behind it can help in some small way.

[The words were pretty straightforward, so Bonnie doesn't have to wrack her little mind to interpret the lyrics.]

You were saying to have hope, kupo. That as hard and hopeless as things might get, we'll find a way through. I think so too. I believe in all of you Heroes, kupo!

[She pumps her little paws for emphasis.]

And I'm sure the others will agree when I say we're glad for that.

[It's...been a while since she honestly smiled, but she spares a small one for Bonnie. Yet as she looks out over the gathering of other heroes and moogles, something glints in her eye.]

It is good to know that some believe, especially as the road before us is likely far more daunting than what most of the young ones thought.

Maybe, kupo...but they've done a lot in the past two years. They've fought a lot of things and helped keep people safe, kupo.

[She flutters a bit more and then points out a woman standing by wearing pirate garb.]

That's Mary, kupo. She's a super strong hero, and a pirate too kupo. She won't stop fighting to protect people, but she's angry at Palitutu for being so cryptic kupo.

[Oh, this precious snowflake... She didn't have the heart to tell her that the world may not be so kind if they survived and pulled off whatever the others had planned.]

I'll admit, that's only the second time I've ever heard of a pirate protecting others.

[Because ha... ha... Hawke would likely never forgive her if she didn't acknowledge one of her comrades. Nor did she really have a place to judge, considering the reactions she's received for the title that all but replaced her name.]

Though I can't blame her for being frustrated...

No. I don't either, kupo. Everything Palitutu has done has hurt a lot of people and moogles kupo.

[But Bonnie really only knows this because of the fact she spends so much time with the Heroes. It's the only way she knows all of what's going on.

She then turns and gives Ellana a proud smirk.]

I'm sure Mary is a lot cooler than the pirate you know. She's also an Assassin, kupo. Dhe jumps down from high places and beats people in fights before they even know what hit them, kupo!

[The word "Assassin" piqued Falon's curiosity. Letting go of Ellana's shoulder, he placed a paw to his chin.]

Kupo! Didn't your friend Cole specialize as an assassin, Ellana?

[She can't help the quiet laugh that escapes her. Bonnie's enthusiasm is a little contagious.]

He did, though I doubt it's the same thing in Mary's world. Remember how I mentioned Ophelia's reaction to the title that all but replaced my name?

[Falon slumps a little, but rebounds quickly.]

That doesn't mean you two can't be friends though, kupo! [And with a small spin, introductions!] Bonnie, this is my Hero I'd been looking for! Inquisitor Ellana Lavellan of Thedas, kupo! She used to beat up the mean templars before--

Falon, just how much of my file did you read?

[...Uh oh.]

Um... All of it?

[Bonnie can't help but giggle. The other moogle's enthusiasm is contagious even if a bit overdone. Of course, as a moogle she's fairly blind to how many of her own Hero's secrets she lets slip in her own energetic moments.]

I'm glad you were able to find her, kupo. Mary said that the Assassin Job here might be connected to her world somehow, kupo. She says it gives people powers that only a few people from her world have mastered, kupo.

[Ellana has come to realize over the last month that her moogle companion is a bit of a fanboy, and just how annoying having others idolize you. If she ever saw Cassandra again, she likely ought to apologize.]

I see. [Ignoring the slight pang in her chest, she filed away the information for later.] Well, it seems rather rude to know so much of Mary and not be properly introduced.

[Bonnie likewise idolizes Mary, and that has put the little one in some dangerous situations herself, but so far it's seemed to have worked out. The moogle looks a little surprised, and then embarrassed as Ellana speaks of propriety.]

Oh! Yes, kupo, sorry! This way.

[The moogle flutters over to a woman in pirate garb who seems to be scowling off into the distance. She breaks out of her mood as she spots her companion joining her, and then her eyes shift to make note of the other Hero.]

What's this Bonnie? Make a new friend, didja?

'She was singing a pretty song. I went to go listen, kupo. Ellana, this is my Hero, Mary, kupo.'

[Mary flashes Ellana a smile. By the way she's shifted from anger to a more friendly face at the approaching woman she might make the Inquisitor recall other tales of Hawke's companions.]

[She has to stop herself from greeting the other Hero in Elvhen, but the mile she gives in turn is likely akin to one who's dealt with nobility far too often for their own good.]

A pleasure, Mary. Though I believe Bonnie's assessment of the tune may be a bit...kind.

[She is clearly no bard, after all. The robes and staff can attest to that.]

Nonsense! ...And I'm Falon. It's nice to meet you, Mary, kupo!

[Mary can't help but smile at the modesty.]

I could hear you singing from over here, and I've known a fair few people I wouldn't call bards who could still belt out a pretty tune as they liked.

[Reaching over she gives Bonnie a scratching behind her ears, the moogle wiggling happily in the air.]

And if it's helping to calm the little ones then there's no reason to count it as nothing. But yes, I'm Mary. I've not been with the Heroes as long as some, but longer than most. And you're relatively new as I recall? Sorry to have dragged you into this.

[It's a good thing it takes a lot to get her flustered, then. Especially when focused on the nuances.]

I'm sure my... friends would agree with that assessment.

[Well, Leliana would. Cullen was less likely to do so.]

There's no need to apologize. Like I've said once before, at least there was no explosion. Until today, that is. I could see it from the observatorium unaided.

'We were keeping the others informed through telepathy, kupo. She's been in a few fights against dragons and templ-'

[K'pandolu stops to listen, the tune and words catching her attention. It's not familiar to her, but it is comforting, and she approaches once Ellana's done, offering a smile.]

A lovely song. Does it come from your home?

[Ellana nods.] Surprised I recalled the lyrics, myself. Only ever heard it once.

It seems to have left quite an impression, then.

[she hesitates, and asks:]

Would you mind teaching it to me?

You could say that.

[She laughs a bit, but nods once more.] The melody doesn't change from the first verse and chorus, so it should be easy to learn.

[So long as she wasn't tone-deaf like a few of her soldiers were... fun times.]

[she grins, ears twitching a little, and nods.]

That sounds simple enough, then! Shall we?

[fun indeed. but no, she's not that bad.]

Yes, let's.

[To start it slowly, she and Falon hum the melody. Both as a warmup and a way to familiarize K'pandolu with the tune. When Ellana feels she is familiar with it, she repeats the first verse. Then the second.

[Familiarity with the melody certainly helps, though she stumbles over the words a few times. It's funny- she came over because the song resonated with her, but she didn't expect singing it to affect her as much as it has. She shakes her head, and swallows before she looks to Ellana again.]

Thank you very much. Ah… I don't think I introduced myself, did I? K'pandolu Tohka. [she offers a hand, ears twitched up.]

[It is fortunate indeed that her clan frequently traded with humans that respected their ways, or else the gesture would have definitely remained a mystery to her. Shaking K'pandolu's hand, she introduces herself in turn.]

A pleasure, Lady K'pandolu. I am Ellana Lavellan.

[she smiles, tail lifting.]

And the same here. I… hope you would be willing to tell me more of where you came from? Perhaps as we explore.

Of course. Perhaps you'll even get to see it.

[Her own role, maybe not entirely considering the reactions her title had gained the last month.]
