Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[That doesn't sound good. Sephiroth both freezes and looks up as the ominous sound of the Chimera stomps it's way along the 2nd floor and that roar prickles tension up every tiny muscle of his back. Spencer clings onto the back of his Hero's shoulder just a little tighter while inside it feels like he might be choking on his own thudding pulse.

He casts a look to anyone else in this particular party, but the intention couldn't be clearer. This'll be a sneak-past as opposed to a meet head-on and so to begin with Sephiroth picks a silent path in the opposite direction of where he thought the noise was coming from.]

[It was not her first time hearing that horrific howl, the sort of cry that makes nerves cease their functioning and the warmth of blood go cold in one's veins. Slowly, her head turns to look to those around her, forgetting their position and letting her brazen attitude get the better of them.]

Shit! Is that what I think it is?!

[Her mitten covered hands raise up in haste, covering her lips as her eyes go even wider at now realizing what she had done. Her voice was anything but soft, and had certainly traveled down the length of the hall where they had collected. Her voice lowers significantly, calling across to her old traveling companion, doing what she can to get his attention without making their situation all the worse.]

Duster! Hey! We need to move! Now!

[Forget this! Santa is not staying with the loudmouth. She's got freaky powers, but Santa doesn't. He moves for a different path, his sneakers carrying him quickly and quietly.

And hey, if they're splitting up, whatever death machine that's following them won't be able to catch the whole group. So there's that.]

[Sadly, Sephiroth isn't quite out of earshot when the girl starts yelling out. Being a resident of this particular reality, and her reaction to the sounds of the monster upstairs, wasn't exactly inspiring at all. That said, he had stopped and looked back over his shoulder at her while she tries to get Duster's attention.

Meantime, soft bootfalls continue to carry Sephiroth in a direction -away- from the end of the building he figured the monster was hiding. Hanging around here is going to get them in trouble, for sure.]

Shhh!

[He holds a finger to his mouth and directs that urgent hush to Kumatora. She called first, so Duster's going with her first. He leans over and takes wide steps across the room, his shoes hitting the ceramic floors with a dull, soft thud every step.]

Was the Ultimate Chimera here the whole time?

[His voice, though calm, has a hint of panic. Did the villagers manage to trap it after the world was rebuilt? How could anyone sleep if they knew this was wandering around in the woods? He needs to know before he can leave the room, and the questions gives him time to stay back and make sure the rest of the group leaves NOW.]

[Aoi spares a look back at Duster. He doesn't wanna leave him behind. But he doesn't know what's going on, and with his job skills, he's better support from the shadows anyways.

He doesn't go back, but he doesn't move forward, either. He waits to see if he should go or stay.]

[The knitting of the mittens on her fingers tightens as she pulls at their cuffs, securing them over his fists as she continued to look from side to side in a focused panic.]

Either way, we can't stay here! Come on! This way!

[Her hope that her whispering fell to their ears is held for but a moment before cautious steps take her towards the hall that leads deeper into the laboratory. There was no sense in leaving when they'd come so far, and careful traveling would hopefully ensure their survival.. so long as she made no further outbursts.]

Aoi!

[Duster waves a hand, beckoning Aoi to follow him. Everyone else was on the move, but this guy is just standing there like nothing. Even Duster would be frustrated.]

Come with us.

[A group of three might be a bit big, but there's no way he's leaving someone behind defenseless.

He follows Kumatora into the eerily silent hallway. The pounding footsteps are gone, but the Ultimate Chimera could be anywhere.]

I can peek up the stairs. If it's all clear, you guys follow me.

[Meanwhile, although Spencer anxiously hangs back, hovering as if almost torn whether to go with his hero in the other direction, or if he should be rushing back to Sephiroth in an attempt to convince him that they all need to stay together. Surely in terms of survival safety was in numbers?

It didn't take very long before Spencer decided that he probably wasn't going to be able to convince Sephiroth of that and fluttered quickly back in the wake of his Hero.

Perhaps they'd come across each other later, but for now it seems to Sephiroth that staying -and investigating- the ground look was the safe bet.]

[Aoi's not really getting the telepathic messages, but Duster's waving is clear enough. Fuck. Well, he's not much for offense, but at least he can use his skills to hopefully keep them from getting killed by whatever it is that's chasing them.

He Vanishes and reappears beside Duster and Kumatora. It's probably a good idea to cast a Haste spell or two, to give them an edge against their enemy.]

[Duster nods a thanks, hold his hand back, and takes a cautious fist step onto the stairs. The metal does not absorb sound, but at least it doesn't creak like the wooden steps in the Tazmily houses or crumble like the stone steps of the once-existing Osohe Castle. He pushes himself upward. Another step. Another step.

His Moogle, Tamekichi, folds his arms. The sunglasses he wears keep up the appearance of an unfazed party member, but he's shaking on the inside. What if the Chimera pops up at the top of the steps and barrels down the stairs? He's not going to stand back and wait for death. He's going to fly over to the next room and hide in there. If he hears to anguished screams of death, he'll know it's safe to come out.

At the end of the hallway, Sephiroth will find a pair of swinging doors that lead into an auditorium. The projector behind the five rows of cushioned seats is turned off, and the entire room is shrouded in shadows. The only source of light is backstage.]
