Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

Warning: Whatever you come up with.

"Aye, true, but now the question is which direction is 'forwards'." She looked around the space before them, shining with a pale light, the space reminding her of the crystals they bore. But it felt like there was something missing. The throne at the center of the sanctuary lay open. Was there someone supposed to be waiting for them? Did the Calamity or Palitutu get to them first?

"She wants us to seek her out. And I expect if we do find her she'll come up with a new 'test' for us to pass to prove we're worthy of existing." Mary cursed and kicked at nothing on the ground in particular. With a sad 'kupo' Bonnie fluttered up to pat and try to comfort her Hero, which Mary accepted but with protest clear on her face.

Lydia had expected anger in turn, as much as she respected Kidd. Spencer's arrival and then Sephiroth only confirmed it. Betel-Po gave a little wave before getting a sturdier grip on her, as Lydia all-but-growled in annoyance. "I KNEW it...that little...." She couldn't THINK of proper words to describe Palitutu.

She had even theorized that Palitutu would take a head-count, and then be even more of a brat--and she'd been RIGHT! Ooooh Lydia couldn't actually remember the last time she'd been this steamed. It took BP muttering her name, and at least one very deep breath in and out, before she calmed down again.

"Any one wanna take a guess what happens if we just refuse to play her game?" Because Lydia was about ready to just sit there in the crystal-area and not move. Childish, yes--but she was tired of it. She hadn't even been through as much as the others had, and she was tired of it.

He's not had much time to have a decent look around the Sanctuary yet, but something about the setting seems like it might be only just managing to hold onto that pale light that illuminated the area. Sephiroth wasn't sure if it was his tiredness making everything seem duller?

Spencer hovered a little higher into the air, well out of the way of the two angrier heroes and so to make sure he wasn't in Sephiroth's way either. He watched the whole group, concerned about those things being said and was about to object to Lydia when his Hero saved him the job....even if he wished Sephiroth had been perhaps a little less blunt.

"We die. And all of this will be for nothing at all."

"Aye. As much as I'd like to tell Palitutu to take a nice long walk off the plank over this, we can't afford to not play her games." She looked off into the distance, less angry but still frustrated as she searched the horizon for any sign of the tarutaru or perhaps even wreckage of the Ultima WEAPON.

"Killing her is probably the only way. AFTER we find out how to get back to Crystallis." For a brief second she almost said 'home', and she filed away that thought to concern herself with later. "If anyone deserved to be taken down by an Assassin's blade, it's her."

She was personally invested in this and she knew it. But everything about the situation told her that she was not wrong to want to bring her down for the sake of the damage she could continue to do.

Lydia isn't actually troubled by the bluntness. "Considering she's tried to kill us several times already, I'm wondering why she hasn't just bothered to do it easily. If she's so hellbent on testing us then she's going about it in the stupidest ways possible."

Really, her opinion on Palitutu was quite clear. No love lost there, and it almost made Lydia wish for Kalki. Kalki had at least given them clear-ish answers at times, compared to this.

"So no chance we could make her come to us, here, huh?" Because honestly the idea of just sitting in the darn place they were in, and waiting, was still appealing to the childishly-annoyed part of Lydia's brain. She wouldn't, but it was an attractive thought to entertain. A deep and huffed out sigh, and she tried to let go of the rest of her anger.

"I am glad you guys are all okay though." Okay enough--they weren't dead, they'd beaten the weapon... Bloody and messy and no one seemed fatally wounded that she'd seen yet.

"I'm not sure I wholly agree with that, either," He looked to Mary with a harder look. Not so much, so as to smack the idea away entirely, but the other threads of this web that were connected to Palitutu had to be given a thought. Maybe...he couldn't deny that temptation to just do away with her next opportunity they got would feel significantly more progressive than the games they end up always involved with. "It still seems to me that she's just another obstacle, a distraction, that we've to overcome...after all she's not really connected to all of this like we, or Kalki, or even Garland is."

Perhaps she's not so unlike another scientist he remembers; always striving to make their work seem the only voice in the room.

"I'm not entirely convinced that killing us is what Palitutu wants. Given that we all just will come back in the next cycle anyway it doesn't have much weight to it."

There are many things that Sephiroth had wanted to ask Kalki, but the riddle-answers she'd given were just as bad as the ignorance that Palitutu seemed to want to keep them wrapped in. So that they wouldn't interfere, like they'd proven they were so able to.

Sephiroth offered a smile, to Lydia in particular, if colored by the exhaustion that hadn't lifted yet. Yet more dried mud-dust was brushed down from the front of his combat pants. He didn't dare to shake his hair out, let alone succumb to the temptation to even run a hand back there to the root of the band that still held it all up. It might yet get worse, given as they've no intention why they've really been brought here.
