Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

Warning: Whatever you come up with.

It was an option, if Ophelia (and Spencer since she was clinging and comforting him too) wanted it. As it was, they were curled leaning against the red fabric with the metal of his gauntlet-covered left-arm supporting them. It wasn't as if Ophelia hadn't hidden behind her hero before on occasion--she appreciated the cloak and mantle for that. (Also appreciated that he let her, so she tried to not abuse it.)

"Some of us have been operating without the assumption that such a boon existed. It's loss is annoying, but not unexpected." Vincent had known, theoretically, that if he 'died' while on Crystallis he would come back to life after a week. He hadn't behaved any differently because of it though. Then there were the other group of Heroes, those who'd finally joined up with the rest at Mysidia. They'd been used to the idea of death being permanent far before this latest development.

No; Vincent had long ago in his life made peace with the fact that his missions and life always brought the risk of death. There were worse things than dying, and he'd experienced a few of those already. Death held no fear for him--only the regret of unfinished business.

Spencer was often too afraid of in some way hindering his hero's functions by getting too close. Not that he didn't trust Sephiroth to swing a sword and not clip him if he was close, but Spencer was much too cautious to take the chance. Besides, more often than not he knew his hero operated best when he wasn't having to worry so much about anything but the battle in front of him.

"Hm." It wasn't as if Sephiroth had been living with the apparent immortality as a crutch, either. He'd died perhaps once, if he recalled it correctly, and that had been very early on under circumstances he knew he didn't want to recall right now. The fact that it had turned his crystal from red to blue had been enough of a warning to avoid that potential outcome as much as possible.

All said and done, considering how many conflicts he'd seen, Sephiroth had either been exceptionally skilled or incredibly lucky. Over time he had been swayed into thinking more of the latter where his confidence had waned away.

"What concerns me more, is exactly what else that might have been connected to, metaphysically speaking..." In other words, what did it mean now for the Calamity, and for their so-called assimilation to Crystallis...

It was also worth pondering whatever or whoever had been in the void's connection. How did it all fit, especially with their crystals? Granted, Vincent didn't have all the information--likely none of them did. Might be time to start looking into it more.

"Jade and Lucrecia have been looking into the crystals, among other things, if I recall." Certainly the latter spent enough time at the Lab. Orpheus tried to drag her out, and when he couldn't, he got Vincent to do so, to ensure she didn't just live at the lab. "Was anyone else focusing on that, or perhaps on the rift itself?

"Jack Harkness."

He'd been discussing the Interdimensional Rift with that man on a few occasions recently, that's how he'd found out about the plans to somehow construct a 'safe' portal which wouldn't also unleash those manikins out into Crystallis. Mostly as the projects he'd been putting some of his gil into had started to become completed now and he was overly cautious about that particular one, overall.

Sephiroth looked around for that man but couldn't see him currently. It was possible that some of them had already gone into their first portal by now, where a few were still hanging back in the Sanctuary. For fear over where they might lead? Or how it might end up? Who knew.

"I daresay I'm hardly the most informed, aside from certain reports that we've been able to read."
