Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

Oooooh. ( meredy seems more interested in leaning in close to get a better look at that crystal ball too, though any mysteries it yields seems lost on her.

with a worried glance back at the laptop, she continues on in what is surely the right direction, thanks to their psychic friend. )

Will... the future foundation be able to help us also, do you think?

[The Barkeep takes up the rear. He has no quick reflexes, but magic should be a good enough deterrent against back attacks.]

Here's to hopin' your crystal ball is right.

[K'pandolu nods, and moves to Yasuhiro's other side.]

It'll be fine. Just a bit longer otherwise.

[The crystal doesn't seem to be anything special. At the very least, it's not actually showing visions of anything. But Yasuhiro seems pretty convinced, so maybe he knows best. Hopefully.]

Yeah, just count on me!

[It would be reassuring if not for the loud shriek he lets out as soon as they round the next corner and sees the Monokuma robots patrolling around. They're either going to have to sneak by or fight these things, and that's going to be hard if they can't keep this guy quiet.]

[Mordecai isn't surprised. Killer robots are a staple of apocalyptic revolts, only...he never saw one that looked like bears.]

Someone's got a unique brand of humor. [He pulls on Yasuhiro's clothes, urging him to step back around the corner and shut up.]

[Johnny yell-whispers at Yasuhiro for that.]

Damn, dude! Do you want us to get caught?

[He looks to the the Heroes.] If we start fightin' those, we'll be at it all day. We need to stick to the back allies and keep quiet.

( the shriek is enough to cause meredy to jump back with a— ) Baiba! ( colliding into the nearest hero as she looks on at the robots. these ones weren't at all cute like chiaki's usamitron. but that... seemed to give her an idea. )

Hmm... ( focusing on the wrist-computer that came along with her advanced job, a transparent visor clicked into her line of sight as she got to work, not saying a word, but her tongue sticking slightly out from closed lips as she made an attempt to see if she could Hack into their programming somehow... )

[The shriek alone makes Cloud wince hard, and then he sees the robots looming beyond. If they were back on Crystallis he'd be all for fighting their way through, but their new mortality has him on edge, not to mention worry of what might happen if Chiaki's computer is broken.

Cloud meets Johnny's eyes and gives him a nod before responding with a hushed voice.]

We don't know how many of them there are. Back allies are good, or what about sewers?

[He waves for everyone to keep moving, keeping his shield up just in case. No need to stop while they figure this out.]

[It's a good thing Meredy is thinking quickly, because that yell attracted the attention of a few of the robots. Three of them turn to face the party, their arms turning into gatling guns and spinning up ominously. About halfway through, though, one of them stops advancing, its movements becoming jerky. And just as the ones in front of it are about to fire, its own weapons tear through the back of them and they fall to the ground, riddled with holes and sparking.]

Good idea, Meredy! If we can keep up like this and not attract too much attention at once, we should be able to hide behind this Monokuma robot and get to headquarters that way.

[Okay, so stealth is not this guy's strong suit.]

Looks like we're gonna hafta be ready to fight these guys. [He turns to Chiaki.] How's Cloud's idea? Sewers, or are the streets safer?

[melnics]

Waiiru! ( she beams at the praise from chiaki, but doesn't let it deter her from her task. she's typing away, trying to gain better control of the one still standing. ) If Meredy can just... get ahold of... this one, we can use it for cover!

( or maybe even as transport to drive right up to the front door! )

[K'pandolu makes an approving sound, glancing towards Meredy to try and see what she's typing before turning to keep her watch on the area.]

It's a good idea… it might be fairly convenient, too.

Why bears?

[With a bit of work, Meredy will be able to gain full control over the robot that's left.]

I don't know. The sewers might be safer, but I don't have a map of the city, so I couldn't tell you when we're in the right place. And I don't know how accurate Yasuhiro's crystal is.

Thirty percent, I told you!

[That's a risk that's up to them.]

Not even half. I don't trust it. Anywhere we can find a map in this hellhole, then? Or would it even apply with all the shit goin' on around here?

[All this destruction and debris might block them from getting where they need to be anyway. Not that this place would be marked, he figured.]

The machines must have some kind of guidance system, right? Can we get to that?

Meredy, how's that hackin' goin'?

[She has the best idea here, so he's deferring to her. Using a bear as cover is a fantastic idea.]

I doubt it's gonna have the coordinates for headquarters, but in either case, we're gonna wreck it just in case it won't tell the other robots.

[Cloud isn't thrilled with them sitting here and waiting for directions, but he keeps quiet. He watches Meredy in anticipation, hoping that she gets what she's looking for.

He's impatient, but he's not about to cause a problem by rushing her. Still he keeps ready, in case another robot notices them.]

so sorry i didnt realize this was waiting on me!!

Hweel! Meredy has got it! ( as if on cue, the mechanical bear hovers over in their direction. feeling rather proud, meredy unclicks the visor from its place as it disappears, and walks towards the beast, leaning a hand on it to pose victoriously. )

No problem, you bet!

[The bear is completely under her control now, so they're good to go.]

Okay, let's go. We'll have to trust Yasuhiro's intuition for now.

Riiiight.

[He doesn't trust any sort of intuition. They're likely to run into more robots, so he begins casting Protect on the rest of the party.]

So where in the city is this headquarters?

[charming_jerk]

Right, lead on then. We'll keep on the look out for more of those homicidal whackos. How far do we have to go?

Ah…

[it was a thought, anyhow! K'pandolu shrugs, and glances at Barkeep, tilting her head.]

Have a little faith.

[it might just help. Of course, this isn't Eorzea, but at least it shouldn't summon any trouble.]

[Cloud casts a quick look at the miqo'te. He'd rather have real directions or a map to rely on than a little faith. Still, they've gotten by on less, and he's not about to hold them up any longer by protesting now.]

All aboard! ( it was just like the craymel express! except off the tracks. and a bear. and not even remotely like the craymel express at all.

still, the robotic bear obliged by leaning down and offering an arm for the heroes to climb up, meredy going first. ) Just tell us where to go, mister Yasuhirimimono! ( hey, she tried. )
