Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

Warning: Whatever you come up with.

Corrine, in response, also grinned. "I just wish I had my bag, kupo. Then I could put rocks in it!" He explained that's how he attacked the Moogle Killers last year. Hit 'em with his mail satchel full of rocks.

Sheena's eyes widened even more. He hadn't told her that! "Maybe we can find something that'll work just as well, Corrine." Nope. She couldn't keep the pride out of her voice when she spoke. Blind hope or not, she was proud of these Moogles coming to terms and wanting to fight.

Sighing, she turned back to Mary. "I know what you mean. She wanted us to prove ourselves, and we did. And now we have to do it again? What? Was she disappointed that we won that she couldn't keep her promise?" Damn egotistical, little know-it-all.

Still, in spite of her frustration, Sheena managed a chuckle and waved her hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it. I think it was something he really needed."

"Hmmm, either she hadn't planned on us to beat her or we didn't do the thing she wanted. Or else she wanted us all in one place to get us here? But that doesn't account for those of us who were back in the city. Or the moogles." Maybe she only needed a certain number to get all of them. A gathering of the crystals?

"If this was all a ruse to get us to this place...I find myself disinclined to believe anything else she claims. Even killing her might be part of a grander scheme. Or else she plans for us to have our own lives dashed and scattered in this place." The frown returned heavy to her face.

"There are too many variables, and I don't think I like any of the possibilities. No matter what she says, no matter what happens here, she's made herself an enemy to us. Her actions and choices have no redemption left to them."

"Why do I have the feeling it's a mix of both? That we poked a hole or two in her arrogance and opinion of us, and didn't just curl up in surrender." She crossed her arms and turned away for a moment. "But I think that does account for those in the city. After all, they were prepared to fight as well. The Moogles, though," and she looked back up, "I have no idea why they were brought along."

Moral support for the Heroes? A reminder of what the Heroes were fighting for?

"That's one hell of a ruse," Sheena commented. "But it obviously worked. I can't help but think there's another reason for this. While we're here, what's happening in Aqures Ixen and the rest of Crystallis? She gave us a month to find her. A lot of damage can be done in that time."

And Palitutu would still get what she wanted. The current Heroes gone and a restart.

"I can't help but agree with you on that," Sheena admitted. "And it's not just use she's made an enemy of--but to the people of her own world just because she felt she was the only one with all the answers."

From her tone, it was obvious that this wasn't the first person Sheena met like this.

Mary gave Sheena a brief pointed glance, catching the tone but finding no merit in pressing the matter. They've both had experiences of the like and she expected other Heroes had as well. That they shared and understood the building skepticism of any possible redemption and understanding left her feeling somewhat assured.

"Perhaps their link to us brought us along. We do depend on them to help us change our jobs. They probably have a link to the crystals we haven't quite worked out just yet." She frowned. The last thing she wanted was for something to happen to Bonnie if something happened to her, or when all of this was over.

"All we can do at this point is push forward, and be ready for her next betrayal. I'll say this though, if it comes to a point where her continued existence is a clear danger to us all, I WILL bring her down, no matter what secrets she may be keeping from us."

Sheena returned Mary's glance with a nod of confirmation that she had read the same sentiment in that look. There was no need to go into their individual experiences with this type of person; it was just enough to know that they shared that particular knowledge.

What to do with it, however, was still the question.

Nodding, Sheena looked over at Corrine. "That makes sense, but I left Corrine home before going to this battle. He's never followed me there because of our connection." She paused before speaking hurriedly. "Not that I'm discounting it, but I wonder if it also has something to do with their ability to be the only ones who can handle a black crystal." Which would mean the Moogles would have to come with them during their search on the planet.

Damn. And she was hoping to keep Corrine safe. If anything happened to him... Sheena would probably go berserk.

She arched an eyebrow at the woman's words. "You're pretty confident there's going to be one, aren't you?" Her tone suggested that Sheena had thoughts in that direction as well. She looked across the crowded room.

"Somehow, I think you'd might have to get in line to do that. Others probably have the same idea."

"Aye. That may be it. I can't help but worry that the moogles may catch the worse of all of this when the time comes. They've been eager to help us and guide us, but if our fighting back against the Calamity puts them in danger just by the magical nature of things..." She shook her head. She didn't want to finish the thought. It was just a downward spiral of what ifs, and almost all of them ended with her putting her steel to someone's neck.

"She's betrayed us no less than twice to this point. Ultima Weapon, the battle most recently. Aqures Tosf if you wish to count it. There's no reason to think she'd take to being honest now." She frowned as she followed Sheena's eyes to the others, "Perhaps. At least I hope that any blood gets spilled doesn't end up on the hands of those not ready for it."

Sheena nodded. "They don't deserve it, that's for sure. They're trying to help the world by helping us, and if..." She also cut herself off because innocents dying because of someone else's actions didn't sit well with her.

Shaking her head, she turned back to Mary. "No, I count Aqures Tosf. Because it wasn't only a betrayal to us, but to the entire planet. If she hadn't been so..." She stopped and took a breath. "That city would still be here right now. She never once even thought of another way of doing things. 'Oh, the cycle is reset, let's just do what we did before because nothing new will change it.' Gods, I hate that."

Her tone had too much venom in it just to be a mere observation--perhaps experience?

Once again turning to the crowd, the ninja's eyes narrowed as she thought. "I have the feeling by the time that moment rolls around, there won't be anyone not ready to have blood on their hands."
