Summary: Event log for the Esdham Under Fire event. Feel free to start your thread and put in the header where your character is, when and what they are doing. refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting.

Fai had come along to help out in anyway he can. He knew there would be problems in this world like many of the others he had been to, but he had never expecting anything quite like this.

Watching what was going on from down below he couldn't help but give a small frown before looking over to his friend.

"I believe so... If we can't I'm sure people here would try and find their own way down."

She looked down and swallowed the lump forming in her throat. "Find our own way down?" She closed her eyes for a moment and shook her head trying not think of the height at which they were falling at.

Yuna sometimes had vertigo and this wasn't really a good time to start getting dizzy. She looked back at Fai. "Do you have a plan?"

He leant on the side slightly, looking down at the ground. He was quietly studying distances and such. Trying to get a god idea of what exact;y to do should they not be allowed to land. He noted a good few things at least so that helped. Better to go for places that were much higher up.

"Not yet, but I'll be thinking about it until we know if we can land or not."

"Have you heard from the captain yet?" She was sure they might be able to survive the fall if they could slow their speed slightly but she hadn't heard from the captain or anyone about the current state of the ship.

Yuna only knew that they were falling towards the ground which wasn't very helpful information. Hopefully they couldn't fall into the sea or the city they sought to protect.

"Not yet. Maybe we should go and check." It seemed like a good smart first idea anyway. he figured the captain would be in the most obvious place right now.

"Let's head this way." he said as he started to walk.

Yuna followed behind her legs a little shaky at any sudden movement of the ship. She was used to airships but she was also not used to them crashing. Her eyes stayed on the back of Fai's head as he walked towards the helm. At least the general layout of the ship was something that the ex sphere hunter recognized.

"Do you think there are a lot of soldiers here as well?" Her voice was a little strained though she tried to keep her voice calm. They stopped at the door to the helm and Yuna wasn't surprised to see a military pilot standing behind the wheel. He was shouting orders at those frantically moving about the helm as well as down the communicators to the engine room. It sounded like something was on fire by the way that they spoke.

"Odds are very likely considering what is going on." Fai said looking around as he went. The layout was odd to him, but he had at least been on an airship a few times now to get a basic idea. He was keeping awfully calm given the situation, but the amount of times he had been involved in wars or situations that meant fighting, he was too use to it.

Fai soon stood there and listened. Someone was on fire. That wasn't exactly good. "Looks like they need help? Do you know if you have any abilities that might help them?" He said turning around a face her. "I know I don't so I can only help so much." Even as he spoke he was still awfully calm. He wasn't going to let the situation get to him any time soon.

Yuna shrugged before dashing from the room and pulling on Fai's sleeve to follow. She didn't want to interrupt their chatter and from what she heard she knew just where to go.

"They said the side of the boat that was hit is on fire. Maybe we can put it out?"

She moved swiftly through the ship to the locations that they had designated making sure that Fai was still behind her the whole way.

Fai followed behind. It was one of those times that he actually wished he had magic, but sadly he only had abilities that weren't exactly useful in putting out fires.

"We can, but I don't exactly have a single way of doing it jobs wise. What about you though?" he felt like he had to ask as he figured she had an idea of some kind.

"I do."

Yuna smiled before skidding to a stop at the sight of the hit. There was fire raging around the edges of the hole that graced the side of their boat. She took a moment before gathering her magic and bringing it into her hang.

"Blizzara!"

Her voice cried into the rushing wind as she cast her spell towards the dancing flames. She smiled as the ice crystallized over the fire putting out the raging flames while momentarily filling the hole in the side of their airship.

"I hope that will hold until we land."

Fai leant over slightly to study it. It was quite interesting she she used ice since ice would usually melt in the presence of fire, but given this world things were so very different. He still had a lot to learn really and he knew that.

"It should depending on temperatures, but it's not like it's warm." He at least knew that much before looking back towards her putting a thumbs up. "Looks good, Yuna-chan." He said with a warm smile before he moved to head towards a window to make double sure. "looks like they might be able to land."

"It doesn't need to last forever." She didn't have any other ideas besides knowing that the ice would melt as they neared the city. It wasn't as cold in Esdham but she hoped that being higher within in the cloud it would still work out for some measurable length of time.

Yuna swallowed the lump in her throat moving to look over the side of the railing. "I guess we just wait and see now."

He nodded. There really wasn't much else they could do really as he leaned on the railing, watching as the airship had started to make it's decent. It was kind of wobbly, he had to admit but he knew they were having problems and it wasn't really going to be smooth.

Gripping the railing lightly as the ship began to shake. "Hold on tightly and hope this will be over soon." He hoped it would in a good way though.

Yuna held on tightly to the railing looking between Fai and the ground as the ship began to make its landing. She knew it would be shaky but it at least looked like they would make it there.
