"I will do, but hopefully that shouldn't be needed." She knew she could handle multiple targets by herself if she had to. She did it at home and could pretty well do it here unless it called for it.

Bloom quickly moved raising her hand and unleashing fire magic at the soldiers. She was making sure that they would keep back long enough for her to move in and swing her sword at the group, hoping to get as many as she could before looking back, checking to see if she was still okay.

The soldiers are pushed back by her flames, and several fall to her blade. At this point, the remaining fighters fall back and call for back up, which comes in the form of a trio of chocobo knights. Two of them level their weapons at Bloom, one on each side of her. The third takes advantage of the speed and maneuverability to dart around Bloom and head for Ib. She's still absorbed in her casting though, and hasn't noticed yet.

Bloom didn't like where this was going, but her eyes followed the one that had managed to dart around. She was going to move, not caring if they try to attack her and used a blizzard attack on the other to stop them from going any closer. Once she was satisfied that they would stay in placed she quickly turned her focus on the other two.

"You need to be careful. I can't seem to keep everyone away." She said swinging her sword, knocking the weapons away so she could move away.

Ib turns just in time to see the soldier get frozen in his tracks. Maybe it's time to focus on the enemies for a moment.

"Got it!"

She nods at Bloom and starts casting again.

"Thundara!"

Lightning hits one of the other knights, giving Bloom a small opening to attack he third.

Bloom smiled as she looked over at the other. "Nice job." she yelled moving quickly, taking down the third with her sword as she stood over them. She was't use to really having to actually knock people out. It was a strange thing, but she doubted these guys would play very nice.

Once she felt like there weren't any problems she made sure to help out with taking out the fires. "Looks like things are getting better."

"Thanks."

Ib smiles back at Bloom. She'd had a hard time getting used to this as well, but she was finally starting to feel like she had a handle on this. And the fires did seem smaller now. She resumes casting her water spells.

"Yeah, I think maybe our side is winning."

Optimistic and possibly a bit naive, but she's taking the diminished flames as a good sign.

Bloom nodded. She actually agreed to what she was thinking, even if it might seem a little naive, but considering the amount of things and people they have saved so far, she was thinking it might be a possible thing.

"I think you're right. There might be a way to go however before we are fully certain, but we believe it, so it will be."

She will use water herself on some flames near by, all the while keeping an ear out for any more signs of intruders.

"Why did they set all these fires in the first place? You can't take over a city if you burn it all down first."

She's also trying to keep an eye out for trouble, but the lull in the action has given her the space to start wondering about their enemies.

"What do they want?"

"I don't know, I mean..." She paused for a moment. From what she knew of her homeworld, that was destroyed before she fixed the problem there must have been fires. It was something she was glad she didn't have to remind herself of anymore.

"People destroy in order to gain something... But what could be the reason for this? I can't think of any. But it doesn't mean we can't try and find out somehow."

"Do you think maybe they could be looking for something? Maybe all the fighting is just to keep us busy..."

She really has no basis for that, it's little more than a wild guess.

"Could be a possibility, yes. But this is a horrible way to go about finding something." She didn't like having to use tactics like this just to find whatever it could be. She really hoped deep down that it wasn't the case never the less as she put out another fire. It looked like they had nearly gotten it all out at this point.

"Maybe it's something in the Magitek building. Or maybe they're gonna do something to the crystal of fire!"

Now that she's suggested it, the possibility is scary. Maybe they want to make sure no more heroes show up. Or maybe they'll steal the crystal and keep it themselves. She glances away from the coliseum, back toward the rest of the city. Maybe she should go check.

"And if it is the case, then we would need to be able to defend that crystal. I mean not right away, of course."

She felt like she had done what she needed to here and that she was planning on moving on. "I am going to head this way and see who else needs help. What about you?"

Ib nods, her decision made as well.

"I'm going to check the crystal."

And get involved in the boss fight, but she doesn't know that yet. She's about to run off when she turns back.

"Thanks for helping me. Good luck!"
