Summary: A letter from Artemicion calls the Heroes of Light for help! Little do they know that they will inadventenly become trapped in the Magitek Facility. The OOC Post for detailed explanations can be found here.

[ The battle noises remain at a distance and do not grow closer for now-- But judging by the increase in mechanical noise, whoever is casting magic is loosing against the mechas. ]

Yuna's brow furrowed in worry as she glanced from the source of the noise, to Wedge -- and finally to the rest of her party. "Maybe... we should split into two groups. One to go with Wedge and... the other to hold off what's out there." Because the longer it drew on, the more of a nagging feeling she seemed to get...

"Split up? In a place that we don't even know where the exits are?"

He wasn't totally convinced that this was the real Wedge. He probably wouldn't be totally convinced even if the other people were found and ten thousand moogles told him otherwise. Sho hated to be put in a position of not knowing anything and that's what if felt like right now, and it was making him annoyed. Usually that meant headed into battle without looking, but he was trying to get over that urge.

"I think we need to stick together, and since Wedge knows this place better, he might actually know of a way to get and around that fighting so we can sneak up on them."

"I do, but she's got a point, it would be easier to split up. The only reason I did so well hiding from them was because I was on my own."

Angeal's attention was on the battle just around the bend in the distance and it was unsettling. Something within him told him that he should go there to help even though he wasn't keen on the idea of splitting up when they had no idea what was going on other than the obvious.

"I'm with Sho on this one." He looked over his shoulder at Wedge. "One group would have the advantage of your knowledge and without a method of communication, the second team could be put in a situation they can't best. We're not here to hide, we're here to find answers."

"As much as I want to see what's going on over there... I kind of agree. But remind me... what are we trying to find the answer to? Why we were thrown in here, or, who started all this madness. Is running away really the right choice here?" she proposes, stepping out into the hallway.

"Not to mention, if they're LOSING over there, our guys that is, are you going to be okay just letting them lose?" She squeezes her fist. "If we're splitting up, I'll go that way." Allenby's already taking steps towards the fight, with, or without backup.

He sighed and shook his head.

"I'm not in any state to fight, not any more. But you're right, you can't let them die again the machines; whoever it is currently fighting."

Her two-toned eyes flashed Allenby's way, gripping her staff tighter, there was only the slightest of nods that she gave the other woman. If she took off, Yuna would follow. Anywhere you go, the words played on her mind.

They would find someway to meet up again. If everyone did their part, then it should work out, definitely...! And leaving someone behind just -- wasn't an option for her.

His head was already looking toward the direction of the fight and his mind was set to helping out his fellow Heroes. There was no way he was going to let them fight a losing battle and so he resolved to look toward Allenby and Yuna with a nod.

"I'm going." He wasn't about to let them go into the fray alone and if he can offer a hand to protect the healer, that was exactly what he was going to do.

[ If they do head into the corridor, the battle noise will grow closer as they leave the office; it would appear whoever is fighting is outside of the offices area, a door to the north leading to them. ]

"You don't hafta fight. All you need to do is point us the way out."

He said that as a parting shot even as he steps out after the other people. They were so going to get their asses handed back to them because how can they tell it was people like them? Three agents that could get around the machines? Are they really sure of that or just believing the word of someone that could be a plant just as much as this being a trap.

But fine. Whatever. He'll just shoot arrows and hang back unless he needed to do something else. Maybe he'll get some bullets as well as some money in this dump. It would be nice to use something he actually was comfortable with.

"If we die, I'm gonna kick your asses," he grumbled and switched the pistol bow for a normal one.

The skepticism didn't escape Angeal. Genesis and Sephiroth were often the same way but now wasn't the time to reminisce about old times even if Sho looked a lot like his best friend.

The sense of urgency hit him with each step through his run. He wasn't about to let Yuna or Allenby fall if he could help it and Yuna seemed like she knew what she was doing as a healer. They needed the support.

"Allenby, you and I will not engage until we know for certain what we're up against. We'll look first then go in. Sho has the rear with his distance and Yuna will stay with him." He was speaking more from a common sense view point than a militant one.

"Our goal is not to die." Angeal added with a bit of emphasis.

"Some of us are further from that goal than others, dear." Rose said jokingly as she finished snapping pictures of the last paper. She moved with slow purpose towards the sound of fighting.

Her voice turned serious and her eyes turned sharp as she looked forward at the others, "Well then let's get this done before those ro-bots have their way and this becomes a moot point. I'd hate to have an even harder time justifying this whole 'hero' thing to my moogle."

Allenby gives her arm a big swing while holding her shoulder, (surely you can all imagine what I mean).

"Alright! Let's get this started! Gundam Fight all set!" Why is she saying that... Just what is she doing...

"Ready?" Allenby, no. Don't do that...

"GO!"

She charges down the hall towards the noise, a punch already ready for the next thing that crosses her path.

[ The next things that crosses her path is a Mech Guard-- Weak enough that it can fall after a few attacks, but given there are at least ten more of them around, that's the issue.

There is a man already fighting them but he looks in difficulty-- It's hard to see him behind all these mechs fighting him, but he does look like Wedge. It can't be right though, they just left him in the office behind, right? ]

Why wasn't he surprised? He looked back to make sure Rose was tagging along and then focused back on the fight. There was a Wedge and he was fighting machines. According the panicked moogle that sent them here, the invaders were able to get around the machines. Hence this might be the real Wedge and they just left a bunch of papers that might be important with an imposter. At least they have pictures thanks to the thinking of a couple of them but that may not help them if they couldn't get out of here.

Sho swore and wished he had something better than a bow to use against machines. Even a bottle of alcohol with a rag stuffed in the neck would be a better weapon at this point. With a sigh, he used AIM to focus and send an arrow into the joint of a machine in hopes to at least bother it long enough for the rest of the fighters to hit the mob.

[ The mechas were all very weakened by the real Wedge already-- So even the slightest attacks will be able to take them down, though they may still be a difficulty if only because of their sheer numbers.

If any character remained in the office with the other Wedge-- They'll find themselves locked in, with the other Wedge suddenly disappearing from his seat without any warning. ]

Just a few paces behind the fighters, Yuna cast protective and curative magic, one spell after another to make sure that everyone was in good shape. She knew that she needed to pace herself so as not to run out of magical prowess at the same time, but she wasn't about to let anyone fall!

Back, in the distance -- she thought she head the closing of a door echo throughout the hall.

Angeal looked back at Yuna with a nod and thankful for the buffing that she gave the party. It was the boost he needed to get started and followed after Allenby. The weakened mecha was something to note but with nothing to compare it too, he had no idea what was going on. He was focused on smashing the things to keep them from hurting others.

He heard the door close and lock, but he thought it was more out of preservation than something to be alarmed about. He picked up his pace to catch up to Allenby.

Allenby would leave the others to worry about the "Wedge" situation. Maybe he was a ninja and had some doppelganger thing going on. What mattered to her was the "Wedge" that was being attacked by robots.

The second she gets a foot in range, she starts two more stronger steps and leaps into the air, sending a flying kick, her class skill, right at everything that wasn't Wedge!

She'll have to thank Yuna later then ask her waht it was she did!

[ Wedge did look surprised upon seeing them, but welcomed their help. He took a step away from the mechas to take his breath; many had fallen thanks to their combined efforts, but a few remained still. ]

Use Thunder spells and Steal skill if you have it!

[ Woth that said, the few remaining ones should be taken care of soon. ]

Stea, huh? Well that just made Sho laugh a little even as he aimed at the next machine in line. If he knew that, he probably wouldn't be sitting on Archer but instead have turned to Thief before going into this place. As it was, he was just going to pelt the machines with arrows at the joints just to slow them up.

"Shoulda told us about that before dragging us into here," he said and released the next barrage of arrows.

"Don't let it get to you. Just do what you can!" Allenby shouts, wasting no time following up on Sho's precision shots to lay a flurry of punches into the same joints to bring one of the machines down.

Let the others ask questions and worry... this was the fight she was itching for for a WHILE!
