Think we should leave some sort of sign for the others not to head towards the offices?

Upon stepping into the Artifact Room, they'll find a large and messy room with many pieces of strange and decaying technology. There are things looking similar to futuristic computers, weapons of weird items that have seemingly no use. All of them are labelled as no longer working and were apparently being studied in the Artifact Lab located north of this room before the Facility was closed.
Among the artifacts, there is a large one in the middle of the room that looks like some sort of table made of steel. There is an emplacement in its middle that seems to be a perfect fit for the characters' Crystals. ]

Once inside the room, he begins to inspect the items with respectable distance. He can identify some of the technological pieces, but they don’t seem to be operational. Other things… he simply doesn’t know what they are supposed to be used for.]
…?
[The object in the middle of the room… Interesting. By the shape and size, it appears that their Job Class crystals can fit inside. Frowning slightly in contemplation, Gaara takes out his Dark Knight crystal. If anything should happen to negatively affect it… he would likely need his White Mage skills more. After giving the other two a quick glance, he inserts his crystal into the provided space, and then watches intently to see what results from his action.]

Ignoring Gaara, he picks up one of the smaller items and inspects its creation. How was this built? What could have been its purpose?]

[Once inside the room, the replica's brow tenses. This reminds him of some of the places he'd been, back on Auldrant. Not that he knows a thing about whatever he's looking at. Guy would be running around like a kid, at this point...]
... [Luke pauses to look over to Ales. Well, he can't blame the guy for wanting to rest. The Job Class he's been given, likely doesn't give him much stamina. Then, he looks over and watches Gaara stick the crystal into the weird object. He doesn't have a chance to even consider stopping him, either.] Uh...
[Stepping next to the other teen, Luke looks from Gaara...back to the thing. Circling around it, his brow tenses. As he walks, he's reaching into his bag and pulling out his own crystal. Then, while on the opposite side of the object as Gaara, he's sticking the Thief Class crystal into one of the empty spots.]

There is only one spot for the Crystal in the strange machine, and only one Crystal from which Jobs are swapped. When Gaara puts his crystal in the machine it activates, his crystal protecting three holographic screen with a blue background.
The first screen shows Gaara himself-- The way he was just before disappearing from his homeworld. There are texts all around, but everything is written in Ancient. The second screen shows a world, which he may or not recognize as his homeworld. The third screen is interactive and shows a list, waving his hand he may move the entries up and down and select one. There are roughly 35 entries written in blue, 5 written in red and 120 grayed out. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands more entries written in black.
Selecting a blue entry will change the two first screen and show informations about another Hero of Light. Selecting a red entry will show information about one of those who fell in crystal stasis. Grayed out entries will give an error noise and cannot be accessed. Black entries cannot be accessed either, but they do not give out an error noise. ]

[...Interesting. It appears to be some kind of profile... an information database. Gaara recalls the computer skills he had been taught by Kite back at the facility, and tries to utilize them on this foreign device. But first, he seeks to inspect each screen.
His breath immediately catches, upon seeing a certain familiar image. While it is all-inclusive, and every nation can be identified, his mind immediately goes to his own village.]
Suna...
[After taking a moment to stare at that picture, he reluctantly shifts his attention over to the third screen. Waving his hand, he recognizes a few of the names in the blue and red colors. All of the gray and black ones, however...
Glancing at Luke briefly, Gaara selects his name, and then looks up to see what information is brought up on the screen. The entries in red, he will definitely be perusing next.]
no subject
He walks up to the two young men.] Say, I was wondering if either of you could-
[Seeing the screens that Gaara was focusing on, he stops to watch what he is doing.]

[After the next option is selected, Luke is...staring in awe. Seeing himself, on a screen, is, somehow, not the most comfortable feeling he's ever experienced. It's him, just before he was...disappearing...from that world.
That could explain quite a bit. His gaze falls, for a moment, and then he looks to the side. After a couple of seconds, he looks back up to see what else shows up.
When it shows his world, he reaches up and lists a few of the places: Grand Chokmah, Chesedonia, Keterburg, ...Baticul, ...and...] It even has Eldrant...
[Well, of course it would. That had been a place, just as he vanished from Auldrant. Brow tensing, he voices his main concern.] How the hell was this information even gathered, to begin with...?
[If it had only shown Gaara's information, he might consider that it's retrieving it from the Crystal that had been placed inside. Now, he's assuming the Crystal had worked as some sort of...key, or something.]
no subject
He climbs onto the machinery to select his name, but all he sees are images of nature with no people, and an everyday picture of one of the Teensie villages.] Are these from before or after we came?
[He must have underestimated the ones responsible for all this. Of course they wouldn't grab random people without doing research on where they came from.]
They must have planned this Hero of Light thing for years.

Among other things, the exit doors are now closed. ]
no subject
[He watches with interest, as Luke reacts to his own world being shown. That is a very good question. His gaze lowers to his Crystal, still embedded within the allotted space.] Perhaps these Crystals serve that purpose... [Aside from the obvious intent to grant them Job Classes and skills.]
...?
[He is still thinking on the correlation between the foreigners and whomever is in charge of this world, when the doors suddenly close. With a frown creasing his brows, Gaara quickly removes his Crystal and assumes a battle stance, body growing tense in anticipation as he looks around. Damn... they didn't have a chance to check on the individuals trapped in crystalline states. They need more information.]

Gaara's Jobs are all deactivated by the wave and he automatically falls into the "Freelancer" category, with absolutely no powers. Luke and Ales each will lose only one of their Jobs though. They can ask their Moogles to reactivate the Jobs once the event over. ]
no subject
He doesn't have a chance to react, beyond that, before he finds himself getting hit by...something, as well. In that moment, his eyes widen. One hand lifts to his chest, and it doesn't take long for him to realize something's...off.
In an uncertain voice, he asks, while glancing from Gaara...to Ales...then back, again.] What the hell just happened...?
[None of them are hurt, but...he kind of has a bad feeling. Stepping over to the ninja, he puts a hand on his shoulder.] You okay?
no subject
He picks himself up and prepares to brush himself off and readjust his clothing.] I hope so, yet I feel like it's probably poisoned us, or activated some trap, or- [He stops. Where are his Scholar robes? The Teensie spins around in place, checking if, however unlikely, the blast threw them off his body. But the only things surrounding him are a few scraps of metal and artifacts that fell out of his pockets.]
Did that thing just burn off my clothes? [Fortunately, he still has the unstylish Blacksmith overalls on him.]
no subject
Gaara can sense a certain... emptiness within him, as though he completely lacks power. He's knocked down onto his rear end, and his clothes have... suddenly changed, to a Job Class that he doesn't recognize. Frowning, he slowly rises to his feet, and tries to draw on a White Mage spell. Nothing happens.
Damn it.]
Have either one of you experienced a loss in abilities?
[He takes Luke's hand off from his shoulder... but holds it for a moment longer than necessary. His fingers briefly tighten, jaw clenching, as he fights to remain calm.]
no subject
The mechanical noise they heard earlier grow closer, but they are now different. Heavier, louder. Whatever it is that is growing close is no small security system but something huge.
The door is still closed and won't move, not from this side at least. ]
no subject
It's in that moment the realization hits him. Looking down, he realizes his outfit has...changed, somehow. Brow tensing, he runs hand over the upper garments, briefly. The tensed brow turns to an outright frown when Gaara mentions a loss of abilities.]
Actually, I think-- [In that moment, he can hear something that sounds big headed their way. Discarding the conversation, for the time being, he places his hand on the hilt of his weapon, moving towards the door.] Gaara...
[Still facing the door, he speaks to the other redhead.] Were you asking that because...whatever that was...took your abilities?
[Why else would he have asked, specifically, about that? Gaara doesn't ask unnecessary questions. In that moment, a sinking feeling tugs at him. Immediately, however, he shoves it away. That bad feeling is still lingering -- akin to one that serves as a reminder of a certain time in the place called California -- but he refuses to let it win over him, right now. They can't afford to lose hope, or feel defeated. He...won't let anything bad happen to them, if...he can help it. He'll stay strong, damn it. Summoning up every ounce of willpower and firm belief that they will be fine, he manages a stern, but encouraging tone.]
...Abilities, or not, these things won't go easy on us. We'll have to fight, even if it's with nothing more than the weapons in our hands.
[Glancing back from Gaara, to Ales, his expression turns firm.] So, what are we left with? What can you guys still do? Whatever's out there sounds close, so we need to form a plan...and quick.
no subject
[There's a hint of worry in his voice. As much as he prides himself in his creations, he knows that typically, he would need hours to build something huge, and all that comforts him is the Job that wasn't taken away from this and the fact that there are lots of complex objects at hand to speed up the process.
He knows he can't fight whatever is waiting for them, but the only way he can be useful is to build something out of these materials.]
You want me to make us some shields or weapons first?
[He really hopes he can find a weapon to use against a giant robot. At the party's current state, he's not sure if they have the power to destroy one of them.]
no subject
Gaara turns to the other redhead and firmly commands.] Give me your Potion supply. I will utilize them on you and Ales, as needed.
[He is intentionally looking away from Luke as he admits.] Yes. I don't have access to any of my abilities, in either Job Class. [Inside his mind, he's still blaming himself for being stupid enough to get reduced to this pathetic state. How could he be so damn foolish...
But they don't have much time right now. He'll save the additional berating for later. In response to Ales, he recommends.]Shields first, and then weapons, if possible. We must support Luke. He has the strongest offensive capabilities, at present.
[Before they engage in combat, they need to study the enemy's movements and attack pattern, as much as possible. It might give them an advantage in the fight, if they can figure out any of its weaknesses.]
no subject
[Immediately, he's preparing himself to be the only one fighting with abilities. Exhaling, he holds a blink. To the first part, he nods to Ales after Gaara speaks to the other party member, as means of offering his agreement. Shields are a better idea, at the moment.] Yeah, that sounds best.
... [The twinge of a bad feeling nudges the back of his mind, again. It's up to him, again, to protect. The image of a certain room, in a certain hotel, surfac-- ...No.
He won't think about that -- just focus on what you need to do.
Shaking his head, a bit, he steadies his breathing. Now is not the time for that. With that, he's focused on what they need to do. They'll be fine, damn it. Quietly, he turns back towards the door.]
no subject
They can hear the laugh of a woman around them, coming from nowhere-- But before they may have the chance to question what it was, the robotic noise returns even closer to them and the wall opposite to the door is suddenly smashed and destroyed, the entire room covered with dust and smoke for a couple second. But through the dust, they may see what destroyed the wall: a mecha, but one much, much bigger than the small fries roamming through the facility.
