Event || Magitek Research Facility

Characters: All the Heroes of Light participating in the event.
Where: Magitek Research Facility; Sixth District of Aqures Ixen.
When: The 22nd of September.
Summary: A letter from Artemicion calls the Heroes of Light for help! Little do they know that they will inadventenly become trapped in the Magitek Facility. The OOC Post for detailed explanations can be found here.

[Well that was easy enough. He does feel tired, like Kobato said, but Sephiroth is doing his best to ignore it. Drawing attention to it is only going to make it worse. One fact is, they need to get away from this location before it becomes impossible to.]

We need to go. Now. [His short, clipped comment is with an obvious tone of urgency as Sephiroth steps out of the room into the corridor. He'll wait for the others to come out of the room first, turning his stance this way and that - trying to gauge which way the attack will come from first. The movements feel more sluggish than they should as the pause in the action starts to catch up with the energy that's being drained from him. Concerning.

As for summons-]

Save it for those that are coming. We're going to need them.

[ The creatures do not stop their silent assault-- As for the corridor, it is noticeable that the purple wave's effect are weaker there. It seems the first wave of Mech is going to come North, those from the south seem to be father. ]

[Zelda follows Sephiroth's lead down the hallway. She looks back to make sure that everyone else is following behind him. As the waves effect weakens she feels her breaths come easier.]

Which way?

[It didn't take long for him to notice that the weakening effect is significantly less out of the room that the crystal creatures will eventually follow them out of. Sephiroth's eyes narrow as quickly he puts together a strategy in his mind.

He nods in the southern direction of the corridor. Before starting to take strides that way.]

This way, quickly. They're closer from behind, perhaps they'll deal with those things for us.

[Quick glance back to make sure everyone is following.]

There might be another room we can slip into to avoid a frontal assault as well.

[Even if not, it would be better to deal with one wave at a time, than two at the same time from either side of them.]

[Kobato trailed along behind everyone, trying her best to keep up as she was glad that the effects were at least weakening for now. That was always a good thing after all, right?

Trying to run as fast as her leg could carry her it wasn't long before Kobato did what she does best, Trip over and fall face first to the floor.]

I'm okay. I'll try and catch up, just keep going.

[It won't even take her long to do before she is up and following, rubbing her nose slightly as she went.]

[ If they go the southern way, they'll reach a staircase and a path branching right-- With directions written on the wall: ]

[ The robotic noise seem to come from the 1st Floor and Containment Lab. Kobato tripping though means some of the pursuing Mech can finally catch up on them, two mech Guards to be exact. ]

[Zelda turns with her sword held firmly in hand. She is getting used to using the blade and finds that she is able use it comfortably.]

Lets head to the control room. Maybe we can turn these things off and help anyone else being attacked by them.

[She slices down with her blade at the closest mech Guard and shifts her stance, ready should the other chose to attack.]

[Kobato felt kind of bad that it was because of her that two mechs had caught up with them. So no that she was standing up she thought bow would be a good time as any to fight long enough for them to run. But she knew all she had was the ability to summon and was unsure if that was a good idea in a place like this.

But with this idea in mind she closed her eyes and thought to herself and raising up her staff was able to at least summon Choco/Mog in the hopes that they could at least help for now.]

Alright lets get moving.

[Control Room. Good, that's his thoughts as well - at least they won't be stuck arguing over which way to turn now. He's acutely aware that they're going to have to move quickly to avoid more of the robots.

Could have done without Kobato tripping up, as naturally they all had to slow up to enable her to catch up. Sephiroth may be colder than most but leaving a small girl to die isn't right even for him. It's clear she doesn't know how to protect herself much.

Sephiroth turns and pulls his weapon into a ready stance again. Armor Break being cast in the meantime first at one, and then the other Mech Guard. With any luck, coupled with Choco/Mog it will buy them the time needed to vanish up the stairwell but like hell is he going to move before the others have gone first - just in case the Summon didn't finish the Mechs off, they couldn't afford to keep being chased.]

Go, now.

[ Choco/Mog is more than enough to dispatch the pursuing unit and slow down any other pursuer as they go for the stairs. Taking the stairs, they will pass by the third floor before hitting the top floor-- A corridor leading to the control room.

Strangely enough the door is wide open. ]

[Zelda walks towards the door curiously and looks inside.]

What happened here? Maybe the others?

[She is sure that the other heroes were wandering around in the factory too. She looks back at her companions with a questioning gaze.]

[Kobato was glad that the Choco/Mog combo worked against the mechs, it meant she was slowly but surely understanding how summoning works. She watched as it soon vanished as she soon went to catching up to Zelda and stared curiously at the already opened door.

Maybe someone really had come in here before them, but she couldn't help but still be somewhat nervous about what might happen once they enter.]

M-Maybe, or it could be something scarier just waiting for us to come in.

[Doors to control rooms don't simply lie open like that. Slipping Masamune behind his arm once more, Sephiroth looks to the others before resting a scrutinizing gaze on the open doorway again. Both Zelda or Kobato could be correct, but then there was the mystery in how they've been teleported into the facility in the first place. Common sense tells him that room probably had something do with that fact, and not to mention the security lockdown they were trapped in.]

Who knows. Could have been Jessie. Could have been the infiltrators.

[He doesn't like this not-progressing towards a destination they all seemed to have been keen to go in. Yet at the same time, going into a room wherein they could become cornered wasn't a very good thought either.]

There is only one way to find out.

[Well, if they aren't going to proceed to enter the room - he'll just have to take the lead.]

[ Jessie is in the room, her back turned to some sort of computer, crystals protecting holographic screens on which. The computer looks very futuristic, a stark contrast with everything else around. She is staring at a man and a woman in the room-- They can catch the end of what she was saying, asking Jessie about the locations of the last two "black crystals", but then they turn around upon hearing the noise of incoming people.

Jessie if anything looks relieved to see them here. The man is the one speaking. ]

More of them? How many of you are there in this place?

[Zelda follows closely behind Sephiroth when entering the room. Her eyes land on the two unknown people and then on Jessie. Her hand moves to the hilt of her sword as she speaks.]

Jessie! Are you okay?

[Kobato actually had no idea of who anyone was at this point, so she choose to simply hold her staff close to her person for the meantime and for once since they got here will be keeping quiet. After all she didn't really know what was going on or even what to do or say right now.]

[Last two black crystals. What the-

Being the first into the room Sephiroth quickly glances over Jessie before narrowing his eyes at the other two strangers. Already he's getting that particular itch to the back of the hand that still held his sword behind his arm, intuition threatening to override logic but he still held it under control.

Jessie's look, that she might be pleased to see them is only making his internal alarm bells ring louder.]

More of us, hm? Just how many have you come across so far?

[These two just -had- to be the infiltrators. They -had- to be.]

[ Jessie doesn't reply to them, but while the spies are focused on the heroes, she silently moves on to the compute and start typing something. Maybe if the Heroes buy her enough time, she will be able to do something about these spies.

The man is the one to speak and the woman looks impatient. Noticeably, she looks wounded as if she had been attacked not so long ago. ]

Too many. Now, we don't care about you, so let us finish what we came for and we'll be on our way, alright?

[It feels like something is wrong. Zelda quickly takes in the situation trying to think of a course of action. Either way they need more information and she assumes these two might have it. She begins to step forward towards the two unknown people as she speaks.]

What did you come for?

[She keeps her eyes focused steadily on the pair and her hand on the hilt of her blade.]

[Kobato watched as Zelda had started to make her move, which made her grip her staff even tighter. She had no clue who the people are but never the less she had to admit they scared her a little bit.]

Is there actually something here that anyone would want? I mean there's just a lot of scary things after all.

[He hears Zelda and Kobato behind him but doesn't chance to look away from these two strangers. They asked the next question between them anyway and it's dangerous never to look away from whomever could be an enemy.

Sephiroth did also notice Jessie move about but didn't show it. Masamune is held tightly in his grip; as if waiting for a reason to be turned in their direction.]

The Black Crystals. Why would you even care?

[ As soon as the man was done speaking though, Jessie pushed the equivalent to the enter key on her computer and the teleportation ray that had dragged them in the facility earlier activated once again: this time focused solely on the two spies though in an attempt to drive them away. The woman was fast enough to react, moving out of the way but the man was teleported away before he could do anything. ]

Gibbs! [ She turned around and with a wave of her hand used telekinesis and sent Jessie flying against a wall-- But for the brief period of time she focused on Jessie, she didn't look at the Heroes. ]

Jessie!

[Zelda pulls her sword out and moves towards the woman. She wants to protect her friends if she can and that included those in the city who have been helping them.

She steps lightly and swings her blade in an arc, hoping to draw the woman's focus.]

That wasn't a very nice thing to do. You shouldn't throw people.

[Well never the less this didn't look good. Kobato was scared and gripped her staff so tightly her knuckles were turning white. She didn't know how she could help really. She figured she could summon, but she felt like it would be too big for the room... even though the room is pretty roomy. So for now all she could do was use cure and make sure everyone was topped up health wise..

[Sephiroth steps in behind yet to the side of Zelda and follows to the side as she swings her sword to get the attention of the woman. Masamune is turned in his grip, ready to be swung around forwards at a split-seconds notice.

Though simply killing her isn't going to get them answers. His gaze flicks from Zelda to the woman again, putting distance between them again as he edges more around to the side of their infiltrator. If she was going to throw Zelda like that Sephiroth didn't want to be in the way, but he also wanted to be in the best position to counter.

Adrenaline starts to raise the small hairs on the back of his neck.]
