Summary: The Heroes of Light relive some of their worst memories, with a twist. All characters participating in this will be physically missing from Crystallis for the duration of the event.
Warning: It depends on the memory.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Everything around you freezes, nearly as if time itself stopped, as if the world was frozen in time. And before you have a chance to understand what is happening, you can hear a voice right behind you.

"Kali Shashidhwaja."

Should you turn around, you may see a child who seems to be the only one aside from you unaffected by what is happening. And as she stares right at you, it makes no doubt these strange words are aimed at you. But before you can reply to her, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, Crystallis vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.

And once again you feel different: all the powers from your Jobs are fading. Not only that, but you might find that your Crystal is gone and your clothes back to what they were before you woke up in Crystallis. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you... And yet, slowly the world reforms around you. The darkness fades away and a new world appears, yet at the same time this is not a world.

This is a memory. The question is, is it yours or that of someone else?

"I was kind of preoccupied," Nanami said, glancing back at the scene. "Is that all right with you?"

"Y-Yes! T-That's alright, but I really haven't seen anything at all..." She gives a small pout, she really was sorry, but she couldn't help where she ended up.

Nanami sighed. "Yes." It wasn't like she could do anything about this. "How did you get here anyway?"

"I...I don't actually know." She wasn't paying all that much attention if she had to be honest. She wasn't that good at it anyway. "I guess magic, maybe."

"This world can be so weird," Nanami said. "It should just mind its own business. Isn't it enough that it brought us here to die for it?"

"It brought us here to die for it?" She tilted her head slightly. She knew something had been going on, but she hadn't been told what or why. She had just been blissfully unaware about what was going on.

"We won't die for it. I don't believe that"

"The last set of heroes died," Nanami said darkly. "And they had years to prepare."

"There was a last set? And they died?" That felt hard to believe in her mind, but then why would the other say such things. There would be no reason to be that random at all.

As that thought slowly started to sink in her frown, slowly got bigger and bigger. She didn't want to believe it, but... It must be true.

"So you think that the same will happen?"

"I don't know what we can change to stop it."

"I'm sure there is something. There is always a way, I'm positive." She looks kind of determined about the words that were passing by her lips. She didn't believe in the negative of there is nothing they can do. She believes there is a way.

"I would like it to be more definite than that. Or at least, a way to go home if we can't win."

"But if we don't win, won't there be no one left to actually find a way home?" She tilted her head, recalling things she might have read from various story books she had come across since she arrived here. She still didn't believe this was the case though and thinks with hard work things will be okay.

"I mean... if it looks bad, we could just get out rather than continuing when we know we'll lose. "

Cowardly? Sure. But Nanami was totally willing to save herself rather than make a futile last stand.

"But... How exactly would one do that when we don't know how to get out?" While Kobato does have her moments of being stupid, sometimes she does have things that make sense. "Unless you can turn yourself into a crystal or something."

"I mean, if we knew how to leave," Nanami said.

"O-Oh! Sorry that I didn't get that." She laughed somewhat sheepishly, she would have never guessed that and just seemed the state the obvious. "But I don't think I could answer what you wanted even if we did know how."

"No one can," Nanami said. "No one has any real clue what's going on here. Except maybe that Kalki woman, and she's not exactly helpful."

"Then why don't people try and go looking to find that answer. That seems like the obvious answer." At least to the young naive girl it was.

"People must have. Unless they're idiots."

They could be idiots. A lot of them had embraced this whole Hero thing.

"I don't think they're idiots."

She had somewhat embraced it, but mostly because she felt like it could help people in the world and that was something she was meant to be doing back home.

"I don't get why people are so upset, but then again I don't understand a lot. We are here for a reason; to help people. I know what we saw here was sad for you and I cant say I can understand that, but... You can turn that into strength maybe?"

"I tried. I tried to prove I was stronger than my brother, or the sort of girls who flocked to him. I still wasn't able to beat Tenjou-san, even if he couldn't either."

"But why did you need to prove such a thing? That...doesn't make a lot of sense to me."

"Haven't you want to be known for something?" Nanami said.

She shook her head slightly, it was never anything she had thought about before. "No, I just want to help people and make them feel better."

"That's it?" Nanami said. "Why?" Were people really that nice? That couldn't be real.
