Let's talk about those past few days
Characters: Barkeep and all Heroes
Where: Observatory
When: June 1st
Summary: All Heroes are invited to visit Barkeep, have a drink, and talk about the past few days.
Warning: Alcohol, lots of angsting over the last event.
He was looking forward to opening The Space Saloon in a few days, but with the sudden disappearance of almost all the Heroes, his priorities shifted away from organizing the Grand Opening. He may not like living in Crystallis, but the Heroes were his neighbors. They all lived in the same area, which he might as well consider his new place, and they were part of it. Any trouble concerning them deserved his concern.
He was surprised the previous day, when he had gone outside and seen the housing district filled with people again. They looked as if they'd had an exhausting adventure--and he was glad he swore off them long ago--and weren't too willing to talk about it. There was a solution for both things.
The evening of the 31st, he had Annie post a note on each house's door:
To all Heroes of Light:
We invite you to the Observatory on the 1st of June for a chance to relax and chat. Alcoholic drinks and snacks will be served, while juice and milk will be available on tap. Proof of age may be requested.
Be advised that all weapons must be put away in the designated storage room.
The Meeting Room
Several folding tables were arranged throughout the room, each with eight chairs. The sturdiest one was moved to a corner of the room, where the Barkeep stood. He brought in his entire personal alcohol cabinet and several glasses and mugs he bought for his business, all which would be put to better use today.
On other tables, containers of juice and milk were available to those unable to legally consume alcohol. Small cakes and snack were there as well, as well as a pot of thick potato soup, though it was beginning to get cold, as the Barkeep had no method of heating it himself.
"Afternoon," he greeted each newcomer. "What've you been up to lately?"
[OOC: Feel free to make starters and reply to others. Barkeep is likely to join conversations held by the bar.]

Open - Observatory Front Enterance
She will smile at those who come in and direct them towards the meeting room where Barkeep has set up his wears.
Zelda won't interrogate anyone about the memories but information was always welcome. There were a few people the young goddess kept her eye out for hoping that they would show up to at least show that they are okay.

"Was anyone left behind during this trip?"
She hadn't seen everyone there, but she had seen enough people in that in-between resting place and in the dreams.
no subject
"No." She had checked to make sure everyone was back either by seeing them pass or visiting them directly. "It seems we all made it back safely. Some have told me they were left here alone for those three days."
It was curious considering their last dream had been just that. While this had been so much more. There were many questions floating around in her thoughts about it. "Were you able to learn anything?" They had the dream for a reason though Zelda couldn't say what it was.

"Sort of. It wasn't my dream but it was of a memory I knew well." It had been Link's dream that she had walked in on. The one memory she had been worried about telling him about. They were close but sometimes she felt so far away.

"Zelda!" she called, waving with one hand.
Open - MILK!
Kite can be found sitting at the bar near Barkeep while Greg was sitting at a far table with his frog and a glass of milk. He had a smile on his lips and was singing some song about potato soup. He had a bowl of soup but it was sitting in front of him untouched.

"Candy guy?!" She called out, giving a small wave. it only made her realize that she probably should ask for the others name, or that she had simply forgotten what it was because she was so busy. But never the less she was quick to make her way over.
"What are you doing?"

He was happy to see that the Barkeep has put together a bar to keep here in town, just for the Heroes to kick back in. Which is exactly what the marshal needed right now, and everyone else too, he figured. So he was doing just that, with a bottle of the best cheap booze the saloon had to offer. He had a glass for himself, and whoever else cared to join him.
If you approach the table (and are of age), Sparks will fill the glass and slide it your way.]
Here. Figure we could all use some 'a this right now.

"I have a plan for a trip, and I think you might want to join me," she offers as she accepts the drink.

He suffers from nightmares brought on by a lot of his past, but this was the one that haunted him the most. Reliving it again with such vivid realness seems to crushed any progress he might have made to get past it.
Why would someone do this to them? What was the point? He didn't get it, but if he ever saw that girl again, that one that said she brought him there, he wouldn't hold back.
If you care to join his table, Johnny at least makes an attempt to pull himself together and not look miserable.]
Hey. So uh, that sure was a thing.

[ Logen missed the whole thing in a drunken stupor somewhere. ]

Whattaya mean, "what was"? Did you not get taken to all those dreams or memories or whatever with everyone else?

Open - Possible Trouble in this place
Her chest felt tight and her limbs felt weak but she wasn't about to show people that. Everything was okay now and she made sure to repeat that fact to herself as often as possible. It helped a little.
Yuffie sat down at the bar resting her elbows on the counter. She had a practiced smile spread across her lips and she made sure to wave to those she made eye contact with. Maybe they wouldn't come over.
"I really need a drink." She wasn't a heavy drinker but she had wine from time to time in Wutai. It wasn't bad.

"I understand, kid, you're too young to be drinkin'," he stated. It was the truth; it couldn't be helped. "I got some juice on tap if you need somethin'"

Open - Definite Trouble in this place
Pushing past people who were in his way he made his way to where barkeep had things set up and dropped heavily into a chair, making it rattle and bounce. "Barkeep. Give me an ale." The large man then rested his face in his palms as he mulled things over.
no subject
"Careful with that!" He called from his side of the room. "I don't want these doors to break, even though technically they ain't mine." He rested his arms on the counter. "But this place belongs to all of us, so by proxy, they are belong to me as well. And I don't want no trouble in any place of mine."
By the time he was done rambling, Gaston was already seated and waiting for his ale, which soon was given to him. "I'm takin' that the past few days haven't been kind to you either? Where were you, anyway? It's been dull here with almost everyone gone."

Re: Open - Definite Trouble in this place
Tazendra had been challenged by her dream. While she didn't linger in the past, finding out that the harder she fought, the worst things got had drawn her attention (and probably prolonged the experience more than having the memory play out unchanged). But, she felt proud of what she had accomplished, even if the outcome had been fixed. It had been a glorious set of battles, and several of her friends had seen them.
Of course, seeing Tazendra in a cheerful mood might not be what Gaston wants.

Fayt settled at the bar, frowning in consideration, before venturing a question. "How old is the drinking age here anyway?" Hey, he was 4 days off from being legal to drink in the federation by his reckoning. Might as well ask.
no subject
With how everyone was when they got back, Barkeep expected his first clients in Aqures Ixen to be quiet as they sat down. Fayt was no exception, but it was considerate of him to ask about the legal drinking age.

For a small moment the powers she had learned in Ruby City returned. She could do so much except now she's back here, limited by the crystals. She should have been able to do more.
She takes a sip from her drinking sorting through her thoughts. Some of the events had been alarming for her. She doesn't really know what to think. So much has happened and it's only been three days.
Yuna tries to smile at those walking by but she has to force it. Its a good thing she's practiced at forcing happy smiles.]

[Saki arrives in front of K'pandolu, weighed down by a bunch of ribbons and items for decorations. K'pandolu's carrying more of the heavier stuff, but she doesn't seem as enthralled by the idea of decorated as her moogle does- and Saki looks worried, glancing over at her Hero before fluttering over to Barkeep.]
We saw the invitation, kupo! Can we help decorate? [and Saki holds up her bundle, K'pandolu nodding behind her.]
B) Later
[With a little bit of time, K'pandolu's settled down, a drink in one hand. She's not too inclined to wander- at least to begin with, but she nods to anyone coming nearby. And later still she'll be up and about- she's not so set on staying in one place.]

He lines up several glass mugs on the low table behind the counter.]
Decorate? That's just what I've been thinkin' this place needs! [Ribbons, paper, flowers...she has all the necessities.] Don't got anythin' in particular we're celebratin' but nothin' wrong with cheerin' these folks up.
[He takes one of the boxes and sets it on a table for him to rummage.]
With their lifted moods and booze, I might finally find out just what the hell happened.
