Even though the tough times it's best to try and have the good.
Who: Fai D. Flourite and AU!Yuna
What: During the downtimes of building Fai drags Yuna away for a romantic date... or as romantic as one can be currently.
Where: At a random spot in the city and another secret spot.
When: August 26th
Warnings: Cuteness
[Today had been another busy day and Fai had been doing the best he could to help, but even with him they didn't manage as much. After all they had to work from the ground up, which he knew would take a while. But with the work done for the day and the sun slowly starting to set, Fai decided to go pay a visit to a certain someone and see if she had the time. he had things prepared, all he needed now was her.
Making his way over he could see her, working hard as per usual. A smile was firm on his face as he slowly started to make his way behind her, hoping to catch her by surprise and when he was close enough he wrapped his arms around her so that his hands were in front of her face.]
Guess who~?

Guess who~?
no subject
[He was careful in making sure that they were going slowly and that he could check where they were with each step. He knew they were close, he just needed to keep an eye out for Yuki who should be standing outside. When he saw the smart looking but shy moogle in the distance he made sure to guide her towards him.]
Okay, before I uncover you need to close your eyes, okay?
no subject
[She nods slightly and then slips her eyelids closed. Her smile grows wider with each new step towards the unknown destination.]
Are we close?
no subject
[He is making sure to carefully guide her slowly towards s door, opening it up and guiding her through.]
Okay, you can open your eyes now.
[When she does she will be standing in front of a table in the cafe. Table cloth lightly placed over it. Plates on either side, flowers placed in the centre. Simple but it was something.]
no subject
It's perfect!
[She steps closer, her fingers running along the tables edge.]
I guess you have cleaned up.
no subject
It's only really tidy in front of the shop, the back is much messier and damaged.
[He gestures towards the seat for her to take a seat.]
Yuki's been very helpful though, I do appreciate him for that.
no subject
[Yuna steps towards him taking a seat with a smile. It feels strange seeing the store empty like this and then being here with Fai. She has to force herself not to think about it too much or her thoughts might run away with her.]
I'll be happy to help. The stadium was destroyed so I'll have some free time for a bit.
[She leans forward slightly, her gaze never leaving Fai.]
So what's on the menu? [Her tone is light and teasing.]
no subject
I would appreciate the help. Thank you.
[He pauses for only a brief moment before giving off a small laugh.]
I don't even know. I thought it would be nice if I let Yuki do the menu.
[The poor moogle had been nervous but it meant he was alone, which Yuki tended to like anyway, so it worked out.]
Until he comes we can talk for a little bit, like what were you helping with today?
no subject
[Yuna isn't good with building things herself.]
What have you been up too?
[Obviously his focus would be his shop.]
no subject
[He smiles slightly.]
When I wasn't helping others out... I was just sweeping the floors of this shop and seeing what I will need.
[He could hear something from the kitchen and knew that Yuki must be coming out soon and he did carrying two bowls of what appeared to be soup. As to what kind of soup, Fai was trying to figure out.]
Hey, Yuki-chan~! What did you make?
[Yuki placed the bowls in front for a brief moment, he knew that question was coming.]
It's just tomato and basil. Simple but always nice, kupo. I was more focused on getting the other meals perfect, which reminds me I'll be back with the bread.
[And he quickly flies off to the back, coming back moments later with rolls placing them down.]
Enjoy, kupo!
no subject
Thank you Yuki-chan.
[Her gaze shifts down to the soup and then over at Fai. Her cheeks flushed slightly while her fingers gently rest on the hilt of her spoon.]
Can I ask a question?
no subject
You know you can, so ask away.
[With that he removes the roll and breaks a piece off, eyes still on her and wondering what she wanted to ask.]
no subject
I guess... this is our date?
[Yuna isn't sure what compels her to ask such a question. Maybe because she wants to hear him say so. They've technically had a date at the beach, where she finally got to walk him home, but she hadn't been as nervous then.
Really they went out a lot together, so this time shouldn't be any different. Except that Yuna feels as if it is.]
no subject
It is, but what gave it away?
[Said somewhat jokingly as he dipped the roll into the soup before taking a bite.]
Though... this isn't something I decided. Since dates aren't exactly something I know much about, I had to rely on Yuki-kun a lot.
no subject
It's wonderful.
[Yuna picks up her soup, mentally noting that she'd have to find a way to thank Yuki later. There is a soft smile spread across her lips as she sips the warm soup.]
I mean, I enjoy spending time with you. It doesn't really matter what we are doing.
no subject
[He wanted to try something different, plus he wanted to try some of Yuki's cooking, which was something he hadn't done before. So far it's quite nice, he was quite impressed.]
Next time we'll do something else. Whenever that will be.
no subject
What would your idea be then?
[She likes Yuki's plan but she can't help but be curious.]
no subject
Well...I don't actually know. Usually what I like to do involves drinking, but you are a light weight compared to me. However we do have some wine if you would like some?
[There was a reason there were wine glasses sitting at the table.]
no subject
I'd love some but you're right. I don't think I'd ever keep up with you. [It's a little embarrassing.] Have you ever been drunk? How much would it take?
[She can't help but be curious.]
no subject
I have been at least once travelling before. Although hat was the one and only time that happened moving around. As for how much... Why are you asking?
[he had reached over for the bottle and was thankful Yuki had left a bottle opener there as well as he went about doing that while talking, before pouring her and himself a glass.]
Though to be honest...I could drink all night and cover a room in bottles and still not be drunk. It would probably need to be really strong stuff.
no subject
Just curious, it must be a talent of yours. [Just like Yuna being able to hold her breath for over 5 minutes.] I think it’s interesting.
[She’s interested in Fai, that much she knows she’s made clear though she doesn’t see anything wrong with stating it again. She watches the dark fluid as he pours both glasses, her gaze flicking up to him when he’s finished.]
It might be a good thing too. [She carefully picks up her glass and then lightly places her lips on the rim of the glass. A smile adorns her lips as she places the glass back down on the table.] It’s good.
no subject
[When one use to prefer it over normal food, it was obvious he always drunk quite a bit back then. With a small smile he got back to picking up the spoon and eating the soup as there wasn't much left.]
Glad you like it. I think that is the only thing I picked out. Just tell me when you finished eating, then Yuki will come out again.
no subject
[Yuna focuses back on her food, dipping her spoon into the viscous soup before bringing the spoon to her lips. She is silent for a few seconds carefully eating while the thought is in her mind. It really is hard to think about food with Fai sitting across from her. Her gaze would occasionally flick up and stare at him only to be averted towards her soup should he notice.]
no subject
[He ate the remainder of his soup, only looking up from time to time to show that he was paying attention to her. When he had the last of it, he placed the spoon in the bowl.]
Or just Kuro-wan because he was old enough and not a light weight drunk.
no subject
I take it most you know are light weights? [Which explains why he can take care of her so well.]
[Yuna gently places her spoon down with a smile. She glances for a moment for Yuki wondering if he's watching them from somewhere. It's a strange notion.]
I didn't start drinking until the world before this one. I didn't really like drinking at home because it was mostly used to drown sorrows.
[It was a friend, trapped in the city with her, who taught her that drinking can be done for spirit and fun.]
no subject
Yeah, well a couple anyway. But then again the time they got was the time I did as well... That was rather fun.
[Not so much for Kurogane, sadly but he felt like he had fun. Yuki soon poked his head up from behind the counter, hearing the spoons as he soon started to put the broom down before making his way to take the bowls.]
Ah, I think I understand. You have told me a bit about your world after all. Though I assume you've learnt that isn't always the case. Although it is usually one of the main reasons.
