Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Aqures Ixen.
When: The 5th of September. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in Aqures Ixen and are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light. It marks the first time since January that Heroes of Light have appeared in Aqures Ixen.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.

At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by distant noises of engines. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call one more time, but is soon replaced with a much less graceful "Wake up Kupo." Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally wake you up. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Fire, in the third district of a city called Aqures Ixen. At this point, you may realize the engine noise actually originates from an Airship flying low over the city and headed to dock beneath the castle. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding. Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who are more than happy to tell you about everything you want to know, about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light, about what awaits you.

Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

The only people around you are like you-- There are quite a few of them, all clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. If somehow you do not realize it, the Moogle who woke you up will be more than happy to inform you there are others like you around. In fact, there are other Heroes who have arrived in the course of the past year and they will come soon! Like you, they have Jobs and a Crystal.

If asked, the Moogles will mention that the city was recently attacked by the Heran Empire and nearly destroyed by Ultima Weapon. What's the Heran Empire? What's Ultima Weapon? Better to ask to the heroes who saw it all.

The Other Heroes
— Shortly Thereafter —
Thanks to the efficiency of Mognet, it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around: those who arrived in this world within the past year. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you about how they fiercely battled each other past month. And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a tragic disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
With the recent attack, Aqures Ixen is under reconstruction. The city was saved for the most part, but there are ruined buildings, the Sixth District is nothing but wasteland now and the Thirteenth District has become a graveyard. Even so, there are a lot of things left to do in the city for newcomers. A few groups of Triple Triad players are playing before Mognet Office in the ninth district, mostly Moogles as many of them are not working after what happened. And of course, they are more than happy to teach the rule to anyone passing by. Characters are free to enter and play games of Triple Triad, and if they do so they will be given very basic cards and explained the rules. This may be the start of a promising career!

Characters are also free to visit the city-- Mognet Office just behind the Triple Triad games is filled with Moogles, most of them panicked, tired, busy or slacking now that their director has disappeared. They can also visit Airship Port in the twelfth district from where characters can board for free Airships from Shoopuf Airline-- Though they have to make a request 48 hours in before to do so.

Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
— 19:00 —
Characters venturing by the city's outskirts at this specific time will be able to see a most peculiar sight: a flying saucer seemingly abducting a cow before flying away and disappearing into the sky without leaving any traces of its presence. If your character do see it, hopefully there will be someone with them. Otherwise, nobody will believe their story.

Was it an UFO or just a hallucination? Only the future will tell...

[He's actually a young man, really, even if he doesn't behave like it most of the time.]

Why do they not need one, though? It would be strange if people just climb on each other without permission as well.

[Granted, this might not be the kind of rules that apply to animals either, but still. It made him uncomfortable.]

I-I will remember your kind offer. Thank you. [That probably was one he might have to come back to.]

It's nice to meet you, Yuna. I'm- [He hesitates for a moment, wondering with which name he should introduce himself.] My name is Kija.

[Yuna laughs softly.]

It's nice to meet you Kija.

[She takes a moment to think about his comment.]

I think bugs don't really know better. We've come into their homes to build our cities and they are lost, not knowing what to do.

[She looks own where she had placed the bug with a smile.]

I think it's our job to guide them but it's okay if you don't like them.

Do you think so?

[He hasn't thought about it that way. It always felt more like they were intruding his personal space, not the other way round.]

Do they listen to what you are saying? Aren't there too many to guide them?

They don’t really listen.

[She laughs softly at that.] And there are too many to guide but when one’s around to get stepped on I like to move it out of the way.

[Yuna stands brushing off her shorts out of habit more than dirt.]

[He can't help but give her a look of disbelief.]

You are... saving them? [That was just strange in his mind. One of his friends told him they were nutritious, but he couldn't even imagine eating them. Saving them seemed even weirder than that, though.]

[Yuna laughs softly.]

Only sometimes. Why don't we get you inside so you are safe?

[She doesn't want to confuse him and she doesn't think she can surprise her laughter should he run into another creepy crawly.]

[That actually felt like a good idea.]

I would appreciate it.

[He looks around a little. He wanted to wait until someone came back to the house or leave it, but it didn't seem he was too lucky with it.]

Perhaps... do you know a place where I could find anything to eat?

[Yuna looks at the house and then over in another direction.]

I know places to go out to eat but I'm sure Minako has something in her frig. Artemis is a very talented cook.

[Her head tilts to the side.]

We can go in and I can make you something.

[Yuna's waiting for Minako anyway.]

[Of course, Kija was completely unaware of most of the names, really. To be honest, he even was confused about what she was suggesting at this point.]

Go in? What do you mean?

[Then something else dawns on him.]

Y-you mean you would cook something for me? I cannot ask something like that of you. It would be rude, considering we barely know each other.

[Yuna isn't sure why he's confused but after a moment she realizes her mistake.]

Oh, it's alright, really. I want too. [She smiles.] Minako is a friend of mine who lives here. I don't know if she's home yet to be honest. [Because most heroes were meeting the new arrivals.] Artemis is her moogle.

I know they wouldn't mind me using the kitchen and you said you were hungry right?

[There was no argument.]

This is your new home isn't it?

[Now all of this made slightly more sense. If they were friends - well, then it was still not normal to just intrude in her house, even if this was a somewhat good reason.]

It is indeed according to the information I got, but it would be rude of me to just intrude...

[He had a proper education. Doing something like that, where other people lived he didn't even know!

But then his stomach growls and his face flushes more again and he tries to hide it.]

This was not me, this was the thunder rumbling in the distance.

[Not that this excuse has worked the last time he tried to use it.]

Are you sure they would not mind?

[Yuna watches him with a small smile. She can tell that he's a very nice guy and it's endearing to see him so nervous. She wants him to feel at ease but there is only so many times she can assure him.]

I'm sure, plus its your house now too.

[She gestures for him to open the door with a smile. It's better if he does it, plus if it's locked, he'd have a key.]

Go on.

Alright.

[He still feels like he is intruding, though, but he does take out the key and opens the door. At least, if this girl was a friend with an inhabitant here, it wouldn't be that bad.]

Please enter. Have you been here before?

[Yuna nods with a wide smile. She takes a quick step passed him, bee-lining for the kitchen.]

Yup! Minako and I hang out a lot and since her house is bigger than mine it's usually here.

[And without a stadium they've both had a lot of free time.]

Have a seat. Let me see what I can make.

[Yuna plans to replace any food she uses and notify Artemis so she isn't worried about going through their things. She looks at what they have and nods before she sets to get out fresh vegetables and pans.]

I see. It does seem to be for quite a lot of inhabitants.

[He looks around, it didn't seem all too orderly here. If that one of his friends were around, he would probably end up cleaning everything immediately.]

In which district do you live?

[It wouldn't be bad to learn about his comrades here. He didn't knew all too much, the fact that his Moogle seemed to be a rather shy one did certainly not help, as it kept hiding behind him now.]

Thank you. Would you mind if I watch you cooking? I do not really know much about it.
