It's finally here. The night that will either springboard new relationships, kill wallets, or maybe both at the same time. Even though Saori maybe still be a bit salty at Brigid for signing her up to her crazy idea, she had to give the Moogle some credit. The enthusiastic fuzz ball of a shipper on deck managed to get a good chunk of both Heroes and Moogles rather hyped about this date auction. Not to mention quite handful of them were all to happy to help with preparations.

[Everyone participating had their turn on the stage and let the final tally of the bids proceed. In the mean time, this is a good chance to discuss these "date" plans you had in mind. Saori returns back onto the stage.]

[OOC: Since I can't edit the main auction thread starter, I'm going to extend the OOC auction time to Wednesday 12:00 AM EST]

[Well this wasn't what D expected when he was forced here. First, he glared at Lefty hating the Moogle gloating at a few others. The Moogle world never let him live this down. Possibly tease him about being a ladies' man. Whatever. D snorted at the thought.

So who exactly was this girl who won him? He remembered watching her spar with Rukia the day that they both met.

And... Was he the highest bidder for three? That was... Three dates...?! Unexpected.

And what of the silver haired guy? D couldn't help but think he rippled the water in that pond.

Still, D could take care of his own. He wasn't one to let anyone, even a superior officer, rattle his cage.]

[Yuffie drops from the ceiling, her nimble form catching hold of D's neck with speed that doesn't seem possible considering how immature she's currently acting. However, the ninja princess is very skilled, more so when it comes to stalking.

Her chest collided with his shoulder sending a shock wave through her that made her grimace.]

OW!

[She doesn't let that keep her down though. She looks over D's shoulder, holding herself up with her feet hanging over a foot away from the ground.]

Wow you are tall. D right?

[D wasn't exactly expecting such a greeting from the ninja though he felt her aura before she collided with him. Her chest smashed into his shoulders and he encircled his arms about her waist to keep her from falling.

From what he felt, the ninja was all muscle, and she'd have to be to keep clinging to him like this. He stares into his eyes, his own dark ones flash crimson briefly before returning to their darkness. There are no shadows cast along his pale skin and he holds a neutral mask.]

I am. You must be Yuffie.

[Her tone might be a little mocking but it wasn't so bad. She noticed the flash but for now she's going to play nice. She swings her legs hopefully indicating that he can move his arm from her waist. She wants down.]

Thought I'd say hi besides you have a very awesome date to plan and before you ask, yes, it can be at night time.

[Thank the gods that's over. Chappopo actually managed to secure a date with Acrisius. Hopefully that would put a stopper on all of the romance talk for a little while. Little do you know, Rukia, it's going to get so much worse because she won.]

[Since Chappopo and Rukia had both managed to make their bids below the estimated budget, the first thing she did was not approach her dates, but the Moogle handling payments. Rukia paid for Ramza, Graham, and Acrisius, then gave the rest in a lump sum donation. All together, that was 8,000 gil to be dedicated to the Mognet fund.]

[Now she has to go check on the cheesecakes again and see if the plates are empty. She's absolutely more focused on whether or not her baking was a success than meeting her dates, what's wrong with that?]

[Zelda is with Kopula, who much like Zelda was both bid on and one his bid. He's a littler nervous and so Zelda attempts to comfort him.]

It will be fun.

Aren't you trying to get me to go on dates?

[Kopula is about to argue but he has nothing so his mouth promptly closes. Zelda pays the sum for the bids that both her and Kopula won and then donates a little bit extra. As she turns away her eyes spot Rukia.]

Oh, hello. It was a close match.

[Zelda has a very tiny competitive side.]

[Rukia looks up from her scrutiny of the cheesecakes, blinking in surprise. It takes her a moment to remember which bid she's discussing, then she smiles.]

Very close indeed.

[She's glad she had a competitor. This wouldn't have gone over quite so well if she'd bid uncontested. But there's still something nagging at her. Rukia turns to face Zelda, head tilted in curiosity. She spares a quick glance to make sure Raven isn't in earshot before continuing.]

When last we spoke, you seemed to consider Raven as suspicious. May I ask what changed your mind?

[Zelda shakes her head slightly with a small smile.]

I wouldn't say suspicious, he's different. Very unlike anyone I've met before. I'd really like to get to know him better.

[She thinks it will be fun though she doesn't consider this a romantic date. More just two people getting acquainted. She had only talked to Raven once before after all.]

[Rukia appears to be in good spirits as she turns to face D, arms folded. What's this? Is he embarrassed, perhaps? She could tease him...she's sorely tempted. But he doesn't seem like quite the type who might appreciate a friendly ribbing.]

You called me your ally, did you not? I would have liked to know my ally better. But I confess that I would likely have made a poor 'date.'

[She chuckles.]

I have no interest in romance, if that will put your mind at ease.

Jack is waiting with a massive grin on his face for the pure tirade that is undoubtedly headed right for him from Johnny. Worth. It. Worth every second of the reaction he's going to get out of that man.

Color Jack surprised, however, that he won the bidding on Minako. His thought for her is far more innocent than what he has in mind for Johnny (and even what he's planning for Johnny is more benign than he might expect.) He is a little more subdued as he waits for the teenager, and is ready to reassure her that she can back out, if she would like, and his money will still go to help the moogles.

While Jack is waiting for Minako, he gets a slap upside the back of his head. Not too hard, but not too soft, either. He can take a guess who it's from pretty easily.

Jack rubs at the back of his head but all he can say for himself is to laugh a lot and grin at Johnny yet again. "He-ey, I don't mind sharing, and I was willing to bet none of them minded, either. It's very hard to say no to Yuna or Rikku, if ya haven't noticed."

Jack holds up a hand as if to ward off another attack. "But. I'm calling dibs on the 8th through the 10th," Jack has an airship schedule with him, which he holds up. "Because I think we've both seen enough of this city for a little while, hmm?"

Another glance at Johnny. "You've got Dark Knight as one of your jobs, right?"

[A few minutes later, Saori returns to the stage. She's looking a lot happier now with all that bidding tension gone.]

Thank you for waiting everyone! We've got our results back and tonight we raised 54276 gil! As promised, 90% of that gil will go to the Mognet for some much needed repairs and the rest will be split between those who were on stage tonight. You're welcome to stay to further arrange any plans and help yourselves to any refreshments. With that being said, have a good night and thank you for participating in this date auction!

[Once she's off stage, she lets out a sigh of relief. So maybe she didn't get a super high bid, but she managed to get her date with Kidd and dodged the bullet when it was Sparks's turn to be on stage. She'll take her victories as they came.

Now of course there was the matter of connecting with the boy who won the bid. She managed to get the name from the bid logs. She hoped to touch bases with him but was more than happy to talk it up with anyone who came by her.]

[Billy honestly did not know what to do with himself after the event finally ended. He was certain he was going to get mugged by Kyoko and Yuffie once that food started coming in. What had he been thinking?

He waited by the stage for his date to finish her duties as the event coordinator. When she was done, he approached.]

Um...hi. I'm Billy. Billy Lee Black.

[Stellar start he was getting off to.]

[Saori smiles at Billy. A very tiny part of her was disappointed she her bid wasn't very big but again, it was for a cause. Plus, it was a good way to meet the other heroes. She just hoped people wouldn't think she was a cradle robber since she looked twice his age. ]

Nice to meet you, Billy. So as promised, I'll make lunch for you for a whole month. Just say the word, and it'll be done.

Though now I suppose there's the matter of the "date".

[Wait...oh no. Mimi didn't expect her bid would be the winning one. N-now she has an actual date with a real Moogle?!

She sinks into her chair and plays with the fur on her hands. It's a blessing that her fur is so thick, or else everyone would see how red she was turning. What does she do? Should she say "hi" to Daphne? Stay seated? Wait until Ales gets off stage? What do you do on a date?]

[The woman crossed her arms over her chest, her lips forming into a lovely frown as she watched the other heroes. She was beautiful and yet she barely got bid on, that's hardly good sportsmanship and where the hell did all these heroes get so much money?

With her salary there was no way that she'd be able to outbid anyone. At least she got to see a good show but even still.

Umiko sighs softly letting her eyes wonder over the crowd. She's sure the man who bid on her did so from pity and she wouldn't hold him to the date if he wasn't comfortable with it. Besides there were always more important things to do and eventually she'd have to yell at Cid about her salary because this wasn't fair.]

[D felt it best to at least introduce himself to the young woman he bid on. Even if he won her with a low bid, he wasn't about to make her feel any less important. Walking up to her, he tapprd her on the shoulder gently, nothing how small she was compared to him. Then again, most were.]

You really don't have to worry about it. I mostly got up there for charity.

[Graham's in a bit of a panic. Not only was he bid on and won, he was railroaded into bidding on someone else. But his date with Rukia he thinks he can handle - he knows her now. Zelda is a different story. She has a strange effect on him; her optimism and serenity is so palpable, he gets even more wound up just talking to her. And then those bidding on her went and said something about her being a princess and a goddess. He has no idea what to make of that, but now he's thoroughly intimidated. How can Graham Specter, lowly criminal and delinquent, take a goddess on a successful date!?

Right now, he's trying to hide from her. If your character is standing or sitting at a table, Graham is underneath it, loudly whispering in their direction to get their attention.]

[He seems flustered... Huh. Rukia squats down on her heels to better talk to him.]

[Graham narrows his eyes at her conspiratorially, looking around to make sure no one else was nearby. His stage whisper grows louder and louder as he goes on, that he's close to yelling by the time he's done.]

You were? For me? Oh, is it because you won my auction? Don't even concern yourself with it, if you don't want to! We're not under any contract or law to fulfill these, right? Right?! Because Kuprono bid on a goddess for me, Rukia! A goddess! I didn't know that goddesses were real, and could exist in humanoid form and put themselves up for a date auction! It's like a modern-day Greek myth! Can I really do such a thing? What if I take her out and Zeus or Hades tries to exact revenge on me? Where can I even take her? What hasn't a goddess seen and done in their infinite life that someone can outdo? Should I even bother?! This is really stupid!
