Who: Everyone!
What: A week late Halloween celebration.
Where: The Observatory
When: Friday, Nov. 6, 7:00 PM
Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?

On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.

The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.

[[This is just a general mingle log, and a good way for the new Heroes to meet everyone, so post whatever and have fun!]]

[She's happy to pick some things out for him. She walks over to the food table, her lights soft as she steps up close. Her fingers quickly pour him a cup of punch before gathering cookies, a sandwich and a mini nut pie.]

[She turns around handing him plate and cup with a smile.]

I hope you like it!

Thank you.

[Taking the plate and drink, he sipped the drink first and nodded in appreciation before taking a bite out of the sandwich first.]

Everything is marvelous, its delicious!

I'm glad you like it. I worked on it this morning, I admit I had fun.

[It's been awhile since she's been able to make a meal for the heroes or for a party like this.]

You should enjoy some of the games or try singing.

Really? It's delicious, I love it.

Ah, I haven't really sung in a while but I should try the games. I was never a good bard at least.

[Archer yes, bard not really.]

[Zelda laughs softly, she usually sings at parties but she's choosing to let others do so instead.]

I'm sure you are a good singer.

[He seems the type.]

...but I think they've set up bobbing for apples.

Well, I do have some songs I know... I'm not too sure if any of them are appropriate but we'll see.

Really? I was curious to the games.

[She points over towards the barrel of water where apples are floating along the surface.]

You use your teeth to catch them.

[Zelda secretly hopes she gets to hear him sing but she won't pressure him into doing so.]

Oh! I remember these during All Saints Wake back home. They are very popular among all ages.

[Looking over at the musical set up, he bit his lip.] I suppose I could... make one song...

[Zelda looks up at him with an encouraging smile.]

Do what you feel comfortable with. If you want to try the apple game I'll do it with you.

[She'll have to hold back her hair though.]

Well, I suppose first the song will do.

Lets see... Maybe Metal will be a good one.

[Zelda smiles up at Meteor before nodding towards the stage.]

Go on then.

[Now that he's decided Zelda's going to lightly take his hand and pull him towards the stage.]

[Nervously, he went up on stage as he picked up the microphone.]

Hello everyone. I hope you pardon my Goblinesque.

[Clearing, his moogle began the appropriate music as he started to sing]

[Zelda smiles as he sings and she makes sure to give all her attention to the stage. It isn't like music she's used to but she likes it all the same. Her own songs are only her voice and her harp as accompaniment.

When he finishes she claps with a wide smile pulling across her lips.]

[Hopping off the stage, he took up his punch and sipped it.] That was hard on the throat. Gobblespeak is pretty complex even if it sounds simple.

I really liked it. Where did you learn to sing like that?

[As he drank she went ahead and got him a second glass of punch.]

I had some prior training as a bard, and when I once fought an opponent in Alexander, the Goblins were singing this song.

That sounds like an interesting time to learn a song.

[Zelda's eyes light up slightly, it's obvious that she's impressed.]

Would you like to try the apple game?

Of course! Lets see...

[Setting his cup down, he went over to the apple game and eyed it for a moment.] It is good I didn't wear anything on my face other than the monocle.

[Zelda laughs softly, her thin fingers covering her mouth. She has to pull out a hair clip from her pocket and carefully tied back each long flowing strand of gold. It takes some time before she has her hair safely secure behind her.]

Want to go first?

[They'd probably bang heads if they try and play at the same time.]

[He nodded, letting her go first. After all, it was fun to watch Zelda attempt games and such. It was even cute.]

Go ahead.

[This is going to get messy though Zelda doesn't seem to care. She carefully holds her ponytail to her chest as she leans over the barrel. An apple bobs into view and she goes after it, her teeth trying to chomp on the juicy red surface only to have the apple slip away.

She raises up, water dripping down her features with a smile pulling at her lips.]

It's harder than I thought.

[She can't stop laughing as she wipes the water away from her crystal blue eyes. Strains of gold have matted to her cheeks but her hair has escaped most of the water.]

[He laughed, nodding as he watched her go for it.]

It does seem harder. Maybe I will fare better.

[Taking his turn, he took off the monocle as he prepared a dunk, and he went for it. His teeth slid across the apple, as he bit down several times, but was unable to get it. With a yelp, he tumbled forward a bit, before righting himself, but his front was soaked.]

Pray, I did not fare well. Much the pity!

[Zelda laughs handing Meteor a towel. She's already wiped the droplets of water away though the hair around her face was still a little damp.]

It was a valiant effort.

Aye, unfortunately it was for naught.

[Taking the towel, he dried off as best as he could.] Truly an ingenious game to convince someone to try multiple times though.

I think I'm fine with one try.

[Zelda is still giggling, her thin finger rubbing at one of her eyes.]

I've never been very good at games like this.

I'm glad you are having fun though.
