Summary: The long-awaited meeting with Palitutu! This post will be updated as things evolve and will lead into the main event for the second Anniversary, Revelations. According to the predictions of a certain Heroes of Light, Ultima WEAPON shall be fought during the meeting, better be prepared. Trying to avoid the meeting is a bad idea, as Palitutu mentioned she will use that very WEAPON to destroy Aqures Ixen if the Heroes feel cowardly.

[Given a second to catch her breath, she's in the midst of casting Flare on the left arm once again when she hears Saori's request.]

A-alright.

[Once Flare has gone off, she pulls out her Ancient laptop, summoning a Healing Program for herself and before closing the hatch as requested.]

[Oooookay, so things aren't looking good. We are about two days IRL before this thing goes off, kills us all and we don't get to load up a save and try again. Everyone's playing it safe and I'm just sitting here pondering my next move because seriously, I really wanted to hack that stupid thing's foot off. How come I couldn't attack it?!

No, wait - that's too off-topic. Focus, focus... ah, alright, plan C!

And Deadpool whistles to his clone, recalling it over to him]

Alright, you - Clone time. And I know, I know, clones are bad juju, but if we don't do something soon, we're going to really get waylaid here!

[With a heavy sigh of regret, the Deadpools Clone each other, now with four times the Deadpool. Which is more than should be legally allowed.]

Alright, A-one, a-two, and awaaaaaay we go! JUDGEMENT!

[And all four Deadpools hit the Ultima Weapon at the same time with the Magitek Knight's ultimate attack, sending them flying from the counterattack...]

...DING! Limit Break ready! We're going to hit this thing so hard, we're going to mess up the notification system!

[Alright, back to healing. Jade teleports closer to the more injured Heroes and casts Curaga on Selphie and Pyrrha.]

There, up you go. Let's keep up the pressure.

[Since Deadpool seems to be getting hit intentionally, Jade lets him be. The guy's still standing and making his bizarre proclamations, clearly he can't be that badly hurt.]

Keep pushing!

[If Sephiroth could reach down within his custom job and somehow get more of a buff to his outgoing dps or speed he would do it without any hesitation. He knows he's already pressing his Combat Mode to the limit of it's energizing capacity. He continues with the Octaslash-punctuated chains of physical attack to the right side, jumping back at intervals to take a survey of the developing situation. The left side seems to be wearing out before the right; not good enough.

ShinRa Guard is refreshed, and an Armor Break was charged into the next charged-flurry of Sephiroth's attacks on the right side. Hopefully to help bring the damage more level.]

Be careful, everyone! Don't get too close!

[Chiaki, seeing that the damage to the right side is still lagging far behind the left, decides to shift her focus for the time being. And since she can see the dangerous sparking going on, she's going to keep her distance and stick to ranged attacks. The right side takes a hail of Machine Gun fire from her mecha as she hangs back to defend the others.]

We need to wear down the right side!

[Levy dismisses the quicksand, reasoning that the WEAPON is already stationary for the time being. This time, she's going to take a bit of a chance to try to help the physical attackers.]

Solid Script: Bullet!

[The word 'BULLET' briefly appears in front of her before condensing into a solid form and flying toward the right side. It's an attack formed by magic, yes, but Solid Script conjures things with all the physical properties of the word Levy uses, so with any luck it'll count as a physical attack for purposes of not triggering the counter.]

[Johnny's hurting, but he doesn't have a way to heal himself. He knows what will happen if his health gets too low, and he'd rather not fly off the handle like that. He'd rather push himself to death than use his limit break. Not that he might have a choice in that matter. For now, he chooses to use Break on the right side. He has no idea if the petrifying effect would work on the WEAPON, but it's worth a shot.]

Ah... thank you!

[Pyrrha nods to Ruby and Jade for their help, making a full recovery between her own healing and that Curaga. And with Ruby's brief intercession to defend her, she's able to regain her composure and drop into a battle stance once again.]

Keep going, everyone! We can't let up for a moment!

[Mounting her chocobo once again, Pyrrha transforms her weapon into its rifle form. She loads up several dust cartridges, taking aim at the right side and releasing a barrage of powerful gunfire.]

[After that combo attack, Sparks is lucky to be still standing. His Magitek Armor smolders from the electrical force used against him. In what seems like a foolish move, he exits the armor, dismissing it for now.

The right side needs to be hit? Fine.]

...Never liked robots anyway.

[Sparks doesn't even draw his gunsword as he at first slowly makes his way over there through the fray. But despite all his damage, he makes his way up to a sprint. As he approaches the right side, he's even giving his best battle cry, as he begins to punch it in a feverish flurry with robot fists. It's time to Right the Outlaw Wrongs!]

[Stick to the pattern. Right. The right arm needed some work, but Reno would rather be absolutely sure that the Left was down and out before moving on. One clone targetted the arm with a Magic Burst while the other used Eagle Vision, making Johnny his Target. If anything happened to the other man, Reno would know and be able to move him out of danger. Once the battlefield settled into hues of red, blue, and one glowing gold, Reno's double began to cast Thundara once more.]

[This was definitely no time to be letting up. The more they could wear down the Weapon, the more likely they were to all survive this. Vincent's going to keep focusing on the right side with physical attacks. No time to be thrifty now, as he lets out Scattershot on his target. It'll take some downtime, so he's dodging back and trying to assess the overall state of the Weapon and what the other Heroes are doing while reloading.]

[Once assured Sheena is alright, Albel focuses back on the enemy before him. And notices... Deadpool being Deadpool. His eyebrows rise. The masked man was always a bit crazy, but double cloning was actually... not a bad idea.]

[Well, why not? It would drastically divide Albel's focus, and potentially power as well, but it made more targets for the Ultima Weapon, too -- which meant Albel had slightly better odds at "dodging." He might as well give it a try.]

[He started with one set of Clones, who then cast Shunshin while the dragon circled overhead for another Assault on the Right Arm.]

[ The Sheenas move out of range of any counterattacks by tumbling towards the center of the WEAPON, putting just about right between the legs when Albel comes over. Coughing slightly, she nods. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. That thing just gave me a bit of a boost. How about you?

[ Before she can say anything else, she notices Deadpool, and eye wide and mouth open, turns from him, to Albel, then back. Brilliant! Suddenly, there are four Sheena on the battlefield, two for each side. This Sheena and her clone sheathe their katanas in order to pull out a pair of kunai each to Throw at the right side, aiming for the hand above them.

The other two team up against the left side by casting Watera on the hand. After all, Water and Electricity don't mix, right? ]

[He could feel the heat of the electrical shock against his back as he hissed. For a moment, he almost seemed stunned--trying to place why it was familiar. At least until Deadpool's comment on clones and bad juju brought him back to reality, to which he glared beneath his job's helm while casting Drain on the left side as he moved further away.]

Well, excuse me!

[Ira punctuated it with a swing of his blade to the right side.]

[Leaping off from her Chocobo, Tsubomi struck the right arm with the rising slash, however doubt overcame her as she landed. Despite their fighting, it seemed that the thing won't stop. She'd use the Choco Meteor again, but she needed something more... And then it dawned on her as to what she could do... But, she needed help.]

Everyone, I'm going to use the Melodies of Life! I don't know what I should do, but I need you to keep distracting the Weapon - I might just accidentally draw it to me!

[She has no idea what's going to happen when she uses it - she might end up dying from it. But, if it was to protect her friends and to stop Palitutu from getting her way, then she'll do it. Clasping her hands together and closing her eyes, she began to concentrate.]

Onion Knight, please, show me the way. Grant me the power I need to save everyone...

[And she started glowing at that...]

Jack has "seen" Melodies of Life before, through Gwen Cooper's eyes, used by the kid that just called himself the Onion Knight, so it's with the voice of experience that he can answer, "Tsubomi'll be fine, if this thing doesn't kill her first!" It's not a self-sacrifice.

As incredibly stupid as he finds the ability, the most powerful attack he's got right now is a Dragon Breath on the Left Side, like Chiaki said. She hasn't steered him wrong yet.

Pardon Kaji. He's lost sight of his primary target, and more importantly, of Ib. He can't find the girl in the chaos and explosions, and it takes until he gets to a better firing position to decide he needs to take this all out on the WEAPON. Trust Ib to get out on her own. He draws an arrow, fires a Heavy Shot at the Right Side.

"I"m going to try to slow it down again!"

Aang started to combine the Nameless Dance and Waltz, in hopes it would both slow all of the parts of the WEAPON and weaken the WEAPON's arms. Hopefully with added benefits of Soul Moves to strengthen it.

It meant he couldn't help push the airship away if they needed to, but right now the WEAPON was focusing on... whatever it was building up for.

Even with the chaotic flow of battle, Cloud was still keeping an eye out for his allies. First Chiaki, and now Sparks taking a major hit. As his own weapons array powers down to recharge from the last attack, the young trooper's eyes bug out as he watches the lawman eject from his own mech to take on the WEAPON on foot.

"What is he....no way!" Even with the armor protecting him that last hit had to hurt him! Cloud glanced back at Chiaki. She seemed fine for the moment. He couldn't really get a good clear view of how everyone else was doing so he decided to go with the person he knew for sure needed healing.

"Just hope he's still in range." Punching a few more buttons, Cloud pulled the throttle and gave chase after Sparks. Once he felt close enough he engaged the armor's healing force. A small hatch opened and a device rose out and began to pulse blue, emitting a healing field to all within range.

Mary frowned as she watched the result of the last attack. It wasn't bad, but clearly they weren't doing as well as they hoped. She'd leave the magical assault to the other Heroes, but she knew there wasn't enough ammo left to blow that arm away. She trusted in the others to rally but her own skills were better suited to fighting on the person to person level.

Unless...

"Oh Saori is going to have it out at me for this." She turned from the wheel just in time to see the other Hero leap from the deck to join the fray. "If I don't have her ear first...Right." Signaling one of her crew to take the wheel she turned to all others on the ship.

"Listen up! Now would be a good time to get off the ship. If you want to stay then help me move the powder barrels to the bow. Move everything up. We need as much weight up there as possible!" She glanced over her shoulder at the Ultima WEAPON, "Whether we take that arm out or not, this ship likely won't hold in the air much longer anyway."

Smiling, she gave the railing a soft pat, "You've done well, little eagle. Make this last dive a beautiful one."

[How does anyone keep track of all this nonsense? Alice is barely keeping up, and just trying to make the most of having the Crystal Knight class maxed out. Since she's mostly got physical attacks, she'll concentrate on the right side for now.]

S-shock!

[It's the most powerful attack that paladins can use, so maybe it will help.]

Tazendra had shifted to the right arm to avoid the counter-attacks because, while she'd rather win than survive, she's not inclined to get hit just to make things dangerous. She's also aware that her life is even less her own that is usual when serving Her Majesty: if she dies and stays dead, her world (or possibly Penrose, or even both worlds) will be fed to the Calamity.

Still, she would love to follow Deadpool's example and hit the WEAPON until it stays down, regardless of it striking her back.

"Bah, well, let us reduce this thing to shards."

She cast another Shock and starting to hit the right arm. Currently it was focusing its attention on... something else, which had her watchful, but she saw no reason to not continue with what she was doing.

[Ib is a seer, so there's nothing she can do to help against the right side. And there's already a lot of people on the left. So how can she help?

What she does have is a crystal of illusion. Maybe it's time to put it to good use. So she concentrates, closing her eyes and trying to form the image she wants in her mind. When she opens them, the image she projects at their enemies is still a battle. Still complicated and confusing and full of people attacking and casting and everything else.

But different. Maybe some of the physical fighters appear to be casting spells now. Maybe someone on the left side looks like they're on the right. The goal here is confusion. Maybe Palitutu will have a harder time responding to everyone's attacks if she doesn't know where or who they're coming from.

[Jade's Curaga has Selphie back on her feet with a grateful nod. She knows that the weapon that she brought with her was of no good against all that armour and opted to continue assaulting the left arm instead. She was wary of that charge happening at the core and her guts was screaming that something's wrong. She looks at Jade with a grim look as she gives herself that much need round of Cura that she needed.]

We can't let up now, there's too many people in the city counting on us.

[It with this in mind that Selphie opts to cast Holy Light on the left arm.]

[Ramza notices Rialynn's strange hopping. It must be some new battle dance. He does not take her rapier, because he does not just go stealing weapons from friends without their permission.

So, he Throws a Stone at the Right Side of the Weapon, because that might legitimately do more damage than his previous attacks. Go team!]
