Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[That's really neither here nor there, Johnny figured. He turned to Yasuhiro.]

You need help gettin' those to that HQ or whatever? How far away is it, and how many other dumb thugs are gonna get in the way?

( meredy on the other hand, looks pretty impressed. ) Wow! That is wonderful! Thirty percent!

( curious as ever, she leans in to try and get a look of the precious goods he's carrying. )

It's better than, say, twenty percent accuracy. And definitely more impressive than no accuracy at all.

[and she nods, rocking back on her heels to wait for information on which way they need to go.]

It's statistics. Fortune tellin' can get as accurate as you want so long as you keep it vague.

[He's not a believer in superstitions, but let the kid feel important. This world is terrible enough without everyone not believing him.]

What headquarters? The folks fightin' against...whatever's causin' all this?

[Yasuhiro seems almost offended at the reception he's getting.]

Hey, thirty percent is awesome! How many psychics have you guys been to who have been right basically one in three times?

[Chiaki pipes up from the laptop.]

He's right.

Yeah, see, the psychic computer knows what it's talking about! Hey, she sounds kinda familiar...

[There's a coughing sound from the laptop, and Chiaki forges onward.]

...The Future Foundation. It's an underground organization that's trying to restore hope and rebuild the world.

...I guess ya got a good point, considerin' psychics where I'm from are all total bullshit.

That sounds like a good cause, though. Are they far off? You know where they're hidin'?

[This is a question for both Chiaki and Yasuhiro.]

Yeah, you have a point. I can think of some cases where even having thirty percent accuracy would be amazing. [He'll tell Chiaki about that boxing game at the Gold Saucer back on Gaia later. Now isn't the time to join the others running down that tangent. His public security instincts are running strong and he feels way too exposed right now.]

Like Johnny said, we can help make sure you get there. We're on your side, and this probably isn't the best place to stand around and keep talking. We took care of those guys easy but I'm willing to bet they have friends. Or worse, enemies.

Our safest bet is to head on over to those headquarters and figure out where to go from there. Ain't no sense in plannin' our next move out on these streets.

[He squints at the desolate landscape, searching for a hint as to where a decent standing building could be located.]

...Think you can lead us there?

[Yashiro seems placated by Chiaki's correction and the reception it got, and now he's all smiles again.]

Right! I'm awesome!

[He's stopped short by Barkeep's question, though, scratching his head a bit.]

Uh... sure. It's, um...

[He glances left, then right.]

To tell you the truth, I got kinda turned around when those guys jumped me. But don't worry!

[Digging into the inside pocket of his suit jacket, he pulls out a small crystal ball.]

I got my emergency crystal right here! We'll just ask it where to go! One in three shot, yeah?

[Johnny doesn't exactly like this idea, but what choice do they have? He gets his lance ready in case they're attacked again on their way.]

Well, I mean, it's better than have zero clue, I guess. Ask away, then tell us where to go. Stay between us.

[that's a little worrying. But still, she has faith.]

[When he hears "crystal", the image of his own blue one comes to mind. The sphere that he was used to seeing in pictures feels out of place after a year in Crystallis.]

So, like, does it turn into a compass or show us a map?

Nope!

[Ever more encouraging. Instead, he just stares into it, making dramatic 'ommmmmmmmmmmmm' sounds for a few moments and waving his other hand over it.]

Okay! This way!

[And he points in... some direction or another.]

[Cloud does his best. He really does. But the sour deadpan sneaks through into his expression. Still, he manages to keep from saying anything about the performance.]

Right. I'll take the lead. Johnny, K'pandolu. Can you make sure nobody sneaks up on us?

Yeah, sounds good. C'mon, Mister Fortune Teller. Stay between us and just keep pointin' where to go.

[Johnny ushers Yasuhiro to the middle of the Heroes who can keep him safe.]

Oooooh. ( meredy seems more interested in leaning in close to get a better look at that crystal ball too, though any mysteries it yields seems lost on her.

with a worried glance back at the laptop, she continues on in what is surely the right direction, thanks to their psychic friend. )

Will... the future foundation be able to help us also, do you think?

[The Barkeep takes up the rear. He has no quick reflexes, but magic should be a good enough deterrent against back attacks.]

Here's to hopin' your crystal ball is right.

[K'pandolu nods, and moves to Yasuhiro's other side.]

It'll be fine. Just a bit longer otherwise.

[The crystal doesn't seem to be anything special. At the very least, it's not actually showing visions of anything. But Yasuhiro seems pretty convinced, so maybe he knows best. Hopefully.]

Yeah, just count on me!

[It would be reassuring if not for the loud shriek he lets out as soon as they round the next corner and sees the Monokuma robots patrolling around. They're either going to have to sneak by or fight these things, and that's going to be hard if they can't keep this guy quiet.]

[Mordecai isn't surprised. Killer robots are a staple of apocalyptic revolts, only...he never saw one that looked like bears.]

Someone's got a unique brand of humor. [He pulls on Yasuhiro's clothes, urging him to step back around the corner and shut up.]

[Johnny yell-whispers at Yasuhiro for that.]

Damn, dude! Do you want us to get caught?

[He looks to the the Heroes.] If we start fightin' those, we'll be at it all day. We need to stick to the back allies and keep quiet.

( the shriek is enough to cause meredy to jump back with a— ) Baiba! ( colliding into the nearest hero as she looks on at the robots. these ones weren't at all cute like chiaki's usamitron. but that... seemed to give her an idea. )

Hmm... ( focusing on the wrist-computer that came along with her advanced job, a transparent visor clicked into her line of sight as she got to work, not saying a word, but her tongue sticking slightly out from closed lips as she made an attempt to see if she could Hack into their programming somehow... )

[The shriek alone makes Cloud wince hard, and then he sees the robots looming beyond. If they were back on Crystallis he'd be all for fighting their way through, but their new mortality has him on edge, not to mention worry of what might happen if Chiaki's computer is broken.

Cloud meets Johnny's eyes and gives him a nod before responding with a hushed voice.]

We don't know how many of them there are. Back allies are good, or what about sewers?

[He waves for everyone to keep moving, keeping his shield up just in case. No need to stop while they figure this out.]

[It's a good thing Meredy is thinking quickly, because that yell attracted the attention of a few of the robots. Three of them turn to face the party, their arms turning into gatling guns and spinning up ominously. About halfway through, though, one of them stops advancing, its movements becoming jerky. And just as the ones in front of it are about to fire, its own weapons tear through the back of them and they fall to the ground, riddled with holes and sparking.]

Good idea, Meredy! If we can keep up like this and not attract too much attention at once, we should be able to hide behind this Monokuma robot and get to headquarters that way.

[Okay, so stealth is not this guy's strong suit.]

Looks like we're gonna hafta be ready to fight these guys. [He turns to Chiaki.] How's Cloud's idea? Sewers, or are the streets safer?
