It didn't stop her though, with another burst of speed she was undeterred, flying in sword first, swinging it wildly.
"Heh heh... heh heh heh...!"
no subject
But those wounds, they kept closing.
When would she have enough?
"Goddamn..."
no subject
She had finally reached the witch, hacking and slashing at it with pure force. "Haha, hahahaha!" she laughed, the tone of her voice rising manically. "He's right!" she seemed to cry triumphantly, pounding the form of the witch into the ground, bits and pieces of Elsa Maria breaking off with a sickening sound. "If it do it this way, I don't feel anything at all!"
no subject
At some point Kyoko had moved closer to the madness that was the blood drenched girl. "Come off it." Eyeing the battered bits of the witch, she reached hesitantly towards her friend.
This wasn't just ripping something apart because you had some bad shit going on, it reminded her more like the crazies people got when that monster bit of them surfaces after too much sake.
no subject
When she finally spoke, her voice sounded far off as she looked into the distance.
"You wanted this, right?" Her arm turned, revealing the grief seed standing erect in the palm of her hand, which dripped with dark stickiness.
no subject
Not really the touchy feely type, unless one counted how the lancer wanted to violently shake her fellow magical girl out of it.
Eyeing the grief seed as the dark stains begin to dissipate in a wisp, there's a clink - perhaps as she clenches the lance tighter. The magic residue coating the tip of her weapon fading. "You blockhead. That's not what I care about."
no subject
It rolled backwards, clinking to a stop at Kyoko's foot.
no subject
Even begging for food for Momo had not felt so demeaning. Sayaka would know the redhead would not leave the seed to waste. It was like throwing food in the gutter. Only this time, it seemed, merely for the sake of being cruel.
And that's not even the worst part.
A fang flashes, murder bright in crimson eyes, "What the hell has gotten into you?! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"
no subject
"I don't think I'll be losing anymore."
no subject
The crescendo of healing notes seems to be increasing her fury. The girl is visibly shaking now, yelling doesn't seem to be enough of a release and she sure as shit won't cry. "The point is not to get hurt!" Sayaka throwing out that grief seed after burning through all that magic; it felt like she was like watching her friend toss her life aside. Doing it in an act sure to provoke Kyouko was just the cream on top.
All of Miki's strange behaviors added up to summon an old dread. "Don't you know where suicides wind up?!"
no subject
"I'll be going home now, so there's no need to follow me." Sayaka turned on her heel as her transformation lifted away, revealing her school uniform again. As she took a step away, her ankle seemed to fold under the weight of her body as she stumbled, just barely catching herself on with her hands on the pavement on her way down.
There was no need to answer Kyoko's question... the simple truth was, Sayaka didn't care. "I guess I must be tired..."
no subject
Yet when the topic ripped its way to the surface, there was no denial. Dread turned to despair.
There's a slight motion, it would have been easy to catch the girl but she stops short - afraid of the reaction.
She's just tired... Her mind offers a fury of rationalizations that feel like lies. The instant resolve she had at what to do should she need to frightened her. Kyouko steps beside her friend, there's one last shimmer of magic as her transformation fades.
A hand is offered. "You said you remembered." The voice sounds too quiet now. It's clear the intention is to help the girl home.
no subject
Her voice trails off for a moment, growing more quiet than when she'd started. "You were always there with me."
no subject
When the hand's not taken, Kyouko sits on the ground beside Sayaka. Shifting to a comfortable position to wait it out until her counterpart feels rested enough to leave. She has no intention for things to be different here.
The grief seed stands erect on the ground where it landed, but that's a wound easily set aside. Acting rotten when you're hurting was something the orphan understood - so was chasing away the people you needed most.
no subject
"I'm sorry... I wasted your time."
no subject
"Huh?" A crimson glance tilts over to assess her friend. "You're not acting like yourself."
no subject
"I don't know anymore... what exactly I was trying to protect. Or what was so important to me." The world around her was starting to feel dim, cold. She opened the hand that usually bore her ring, revealing a shadowy soul gem, swimming in despair.
no subject
How? How could it already be this bad?! How could she not have known?
The grief seed! Kyoko snatches it up, praying it's enough as she moves it towards the dying gem. There was never a question in her mind of who to protect.
no subject
She slumped down a little further, feeling weak, and letting that feeling finally wrap its cold embrace around her. "I understand what you mean, now." The hand holding her gem twitched, just a little.
"I did save a few people, but in exchange, hatred and jealousy filled my heart. I even... hurt my best friend," ever so slightly, her voice cracked at that last bit.
no subject
This girl, always running from her - if only because she was being chased. She had to do this delicately. Perhaps somewhere the Lancer knew it was hopeless - and was someone who just refused to give up.
In the back of her mind she wonders what the caped magical girl did to the pink haired girl - but does not care,
Her hand's turn to shake now, it inches towards Sayaka's gem with the false hope.
no subject
"That's how magical girls work..." the shards of reality began to come down in larger pieces, as Sayaka leaned backwards, her eyes filled with tears, as a solitary stray fell down onto the soul gem, cracking its surface, as the main plaza of the world of Crystallis took shape behind the falling puzzle pieces around them.
"I was stupid... so stupid."
no subject
In the girls mind's eye, a man hangs from a noose.
So Fragile. Just as the grief seed may have come close, it crumbles. "Ah! Shit!"
Sayaka, her soul gem! Kyoko's watched with terror as the tear struck.
no subject
There's a far off scream somewhere in the world that's falling apart. The sounds of a violin, the shattering of a darkened grief seed that comes from seemingly nowhere. In the blackness beyond, the form of a witch takes shape, as Sayaka's body falls lifelessly to the ground.
Out from the shadows between dimensions, dancing familiars have come to play.
no subject
There's the slightest of pauses after everything shatters, including her friend.
A red gem appears and her transformation is a quick one. Dashing over to stand sentinel over the still form of the blue haired girl, the modules of her lance unfurl in a predatory fashion.
"What the hell did you do to her you stupid witch?!"
no subject
A pedestal rises, revealing the mermaid tail of the witch, a siren come to drown her prey.
