Transport from Aqures Ixen
Transport from Aqures Ixen - Ales
He donned his outfit he received the month earlier: a dark blue jacket with a clasp shaped like a leaf: if he was going to save anything, he was going to do it in style.
For the majority of the trip, Ales stayed in his own room, tinkering with the parts he brought with him and putting finishing touches on the shields. He had built a hammer during his spare time, but if the past was any indication, most of the Heroes needed more help with defending themselves. And it wasn't like he would be of better use patrolling the upper deck.
His work was suddenly interrupted by the pounding of feet on the floor above him and multiple panicked voices. He left his room and ran out to the hall.
"What's going on?" he asked when he spotted the first person he ran into.
Transport from Aqures Ixen - Yuna
Wind roared past her as she looked at those around her. "Please tell me we can still land.."
She had seen airships go down but she had never been on one as it plummeted towards the ground.

"Did you check on the pilot? If he's in decent condition, I can run down to maintain the engine and keep this thing up for a little while longer."
no subject
"It looked like they might have a plan."
no subject
At once he headed towards the pilot's cabin. "Come on, no time to waste!"
no subject
"Got it!"
Yuna never put much thought into the person who was piloting the ship but she was sure that they would have someone who was used to war at the helm. After all this was a ship they had brought just for the heroes to get to Esdham.

"Sir!" He pounded on the door. "Is everything alright? Have we got a code 97?" It turned out that those emergency protocol chapters he read to get his license came in handy after all.
There was a series of loud thumps from inside, and a Tarutaru opened the door, wearing a military uniform. There were other airship assistants inside, scrambling around the room while a Hypello stood at the wheel. "No, everything is under control in here," she answered. "But we're quickly losing altitude, and the propeller room's been hit pretty hard." She was obviously trying to look calm while the airship was under attack from all sides and about to fall in a fiery blaze.
"Permission to help with repairs down there?" His tools would come in handy.
"Are you an airship mechanic?"
"Pilot, officially. But I've built machines like this before, and propulsion mechanisms are not that specialized."
"Take these." She pulled out a set of keys from a nearby cabinet. "They unlock the tool closet that have just the things you might need. I'll order any hands that can help down there." And she ran back to her station.
no subject
"I suppose you know the way?"

The sounds of fire were duller in the metallic underbelly of the ship, but returned to their original volume once Ales opened the door to the propeller room.
"Alright, everyone, listen to me!" He jumped onto a nearby stool. "I'm Ales Mansay, Airship Pilot and I'll be heading the repairs! What's the situation?"
Several of the workers shot each other confused looks, mostly because they'd never seen a Teensie before. The more quick-witted of them realized that he must be one of the Heroes of Light on board, and immediately ran up to him.
"Heavy damage sustained on the secondary shaft, Mr. Mansay."
"One of the power boxes are overheating."
"I'll get to the shaft right away. Hand me the necessary tools." Ales spoke with careful diction with just the right amount of arm flailing to get his jacket sleeves to whip around dramatically.
"Yuna." He turned to her once the workers left. "Can you get to that power box? You might have a spell that can cool it down, right?"

Watching what was going on from down below he couldn't help but give a small frown before looking over to his friend.
"I believe so... If we can't I'm sure people here would try and find their own way down."

Yuna sometimes had vertigo and this wasn't really a good time to start getting dizzy. She looked back at Fai. "Do you have a plan?"
no subject
"Not yet, but I'll be thinking about it until we know if we can land or not."
no subject
Yuna only knew that they were falling towards the ground which wasn't very helpful information. Hopefully they couldn't fall into the sea or the city they sought to protect.
no subject
"Let's head this way." he said as he started to walk.
no subject
"Do you think there are a lot of soldiers here as well?" Her voice was a little strained though she tried to keep her voice calm. They stopped at the door to the helm and Yuna wasn't surprised to see a military pilot standing behind the wheel. He was shouting orders at those frantically moving about the helm as well as down the communicators to the engine room. It sounded like something was on fire by the way that they spoke.
no subject
Fai soon stood there and listened. Someone was on fire. That wasn't exactly good. "Looks like they need help? Do you know if you have any abilities that might help them?" He said turning around a face her. "I know I don't so I can only help so much." Even as he spoke he was still awfully calm. He wasn't going to let the situation get to him any time soon.

"O-Okay..! So the baddies are attacking us already... that's good, right?" Elle was trying to keep her balance, holding on to anything steady for support. "That means we can just take care of them right here and now!"
no subject
He feels bad, this is a major pain, but as soon as Elle loses her balance, Shigure is going to put a hand behind her back so she doesn't fall over.]
Being attacked isn't a good thing, Small-fry. You sure you should be here? Maybe if you try real hard, your Moogle can fly you home.
no subject
I wanna fight, too! It's the reason I was brought here, isn't it? I'm not going back, okay?
no subject
[It's a pain. Everything is a pain.]
Tch. You really wanna fight that badly, huh?
no subject
[ She does mysteriously know how to use daggers, ever since she got here, but it's not like she's had the chance to put it into practice. ]
Hey, you're gonna fight, too, right? [ The airship rumbles again as she speaks. Crud, they're running out of time. She digs into one of her pockets and offers Shigure some coins -- that's right, she still thinks you're a hobo. ] W-Wanna stick together? That's all I got now, but I can steal some more from the bad guys, okay?
no subject
[But not everyone is as lazy as Shigure. He sighs, mentally going over how troublesome everything is in his head. It's not the worst that could happen, but at the same time he's pretty sure it would feel like being partnered with Meroon or Lu and that's kind of frightening.
In the end, he does have an answer, it's just...not a good one.
And children just showing up in foreign worlds with the newfound knowledge of how to expertly stab people is also kind of terrifying (yet strangely familiar).]
I'm not going to fight right away. You know those jobs we have, right? Mine doesn't fight well during the day. You should find someone else to stick with until then.
["Until then" meaning he's accidentally acquiesced to helping her out at some point, but really, she should be sleeping at night! This place is so painful.]
no subject
And fine, if you don't wanna help me, just say so! I don't need half-baked excuses! I'll be fine on my own!! [ Clutching on to her daggers, she's starting to feel the reality of the situation as the ship struggles to keep afloat. She decides to run towards the upper deck to see what can be done. ]
Hibiki Ganaha
At any point back home, she shouldn't be a fighter. Sure, she's played one in the movies. A gangster seeking revenge for her family, an animal keeper caught up in a war about giant robots, an esper who summons war animals to fight by her side...she's played all those roles. She's a serious actress.
But today, she's not playing a role, she's a Hero of Light.
Hibiki sits out of the way. Next to her is a St. Bernard, and on her shoulder is a hamster who watches what she's doing with her hands. She's stringing her bow. She's actually stringing her bow. Next to her sits a quiver filled with arrows and a pack filled with potions, and a timid Moogle is resting against her leg. With all the chaos and news she had to deliver, Kathy is tuckered out.
Every so often, she makes a mistake or looks up and has that look in her eyes like she's looking at nothing before she returns to work. If anyone comes close enough, they'll be able to hear her speak.]
C'mon, Hibiki...nankurunaisa. Nankurunaisa...
