Bloom hadn't been the only one watching that monster. While most of the heroes were down in the streets helping to guide civilians and fight the invaders, Kidd had followed her instinct and took to the rooftops. There wasn't as much fighting going on up there, but it gave her a good vantage point for those who were in need of aid.

In this case, as the monster lunged to attack the girl, it was suddenly interrupted as the pirate clad ninja leaped from the rooftop and stabbed her hidden blade into its eye. Kidd withdrew the blade and leaped off of it to land by Bloom's side, only stumbling a little bit. Her time spent training was bringing her body back up to speed with the skills she knew from back home.

"Need a hand?" She watched the monster warily, not sure if the strike was enough to kill it.

It wasn't enough to kill the monster but it was enough to knock it to the ground, causing Bloom to look over slightly at the other, a small smile on her face. Well that was good at least, she was glad that there was others helping out.

"Ah, thank you. Yes, there are other monsters who I'm sure will attack and lets not forgot what else is fighting." People. She didn't understand why any of this eas even going on. What was the point.

As watched as the monster had finished getting up as she slashed her sword, killing it. At least this time it was going to stay down, but she knew others would be close by.

With a flex of her wrist, the hidden blade vanished back up Kidd's sleeve, and when Bloom made her move to strike with her sword Kidd now had her gun out to keep Bloom covered in case the monster proved to be stubborn. When the creature collapsed, Kidd let out a short sigh of relief before looking back to the battlefield.

It was chaotic. Normally she would be striking from the shadows to take advantage of the chaos, but there were no easy targets here. This wasn't like taking a ship either. There was no captain to take down and she didn't imagine the invading army would be demoralized as easily as a crew of a frigate would.

She glanced at the people Bloom was escorting and then back to the other hero. If this is how she could help, it'd have to do. "So where are you headed?"

Bloom made sure they were a safe distance away from the chaos before she looked over slightly.

"As of yet, I don't know. I'm just more focused of searching for any other people who might need escorting to safety. It might not seem like much actions, but it's better that these people are safe, don't you think?"

Considering how much fire power the enemy had she didn't think the people here would be all that safe. She had to get them out no matter what.

"I'm sure while we look they will attack again, so we must be on our guard."

Kidd raised an eyebrow at the response. She almost felt attacked here, "No, it's a noble goal. I more meant to offer my assistance in keeping them defended. I'm not as nimble as I was at home but it's coming back to me."

To show her point she used an overturned cart to start a run up a wall, stopping once she found a handhold halfway up. "I'll keep to the rooftops and keep you in sight. A higher view means less chance of being surrounded."

"Oh, I see. I do apologize." She said as she was soon watching the other climb up towards the roof. She had to admit that was kind of impressive and not something she her would would have been able to do back here or at home. Sure she was athletic but nothing quite like that.

But with a goal in mind all she could do was nod and look over slightly. She knew at least what she had to do now. She had to keep defending as much as she could and so far, it seems like there wasn't anyone that needed it, but she wouldn't be able to notice until she started to move.

Kidd flashed a smile. She wasn't very offended, everyone was on edge after all. That she was given an apology was more than enough.

Once back on the rooftop she kept pace with the moving group of citizens, keeping an eye out for threats. More than once an Imperial would emerge from a window or go out onto the rooftops with the intent of gaining higher ground, but Kidd was ready and took them out as she went.

Bloom made sure that she took care of the guards from the enemy as they appeared around the corners and from buildings close by. She made sure that she knocked them out at best and made sure that the people were safe.

Looking over the rooftops she was making sure that the other was doing alright as she made sure that the civilians kept following her. It wasn't long until she spotted what she assumed to be a safe spot for the meantime.

"Okay, I think we should be safe for now."

Kidd was wary a bit longer than Bloom, watching alleyways and windows just to be sure. Once she was satisfied she joined the other hero and the refuges down on street level.

"Everything looks clear. You did well leading them here." She smiled and offered her hand, "I don't recall us being introduced properly. James Kidd."

Bloom waved the other people off once she was certain they were safe before she looked over to the other and with a smile took their hand to shake it.

"I'm Bloom. Even though this probably wasn't the best situation to meet, it's still nice to meet you." She said as she let go of the hand, letting hers settle down.

"Perhaps not, but it's as good a time as any to find out who the rest of us 'heroes' are." She handles the word loosely, but not with disdain. It's more like she has trouble counting herself among them.

"I can stay here a bit longer to make sure you lot are safe. I've been trying to find any of their commanders and take them out if I can."

"Ah, taking them out is a good idea. I wouldn't have thought to do that." She knew herself that she was going to focus more on saving people than trying to take them out. She felt like there might be others around who would be doing that anyway.

"I should let you go on finding them. I should be fine by myself."

"Alright. Good luck and be safe. No shame in running or hiding if you have to." Kidd gave Bloom one last nod and then took off at a run, vaulting her way up to a rooftop as she did earlier before disappearing from view.
