[Clearing a path was exactly what Sparks was doing. Covering himself with a protective Firewall spell that takes his attackers off guard, the marshal uses that as a distraction to go in swinging his gunsword against the Warriors. He'd try to keep them busy while the others took care of the rest, and covered Ramza. When it looked like one of the Imperial soldiers was about to head off after the rest of the group, Sparks unleashes a Electrostatic spell on them and nearby soldiers in a burst of intense lightning. It's enough for them to keep a focus on him and not on Ramza.

He's exhausted, they're outnumbered, and this plan is foolish to say the least. But damn if he isn't enjoying himself for the moment.]

[Their little ragtag group is not Ramza's army, but he still feels a swell of pride as they work together to force their way through. He had resolved to lead them through this mess, and so he would.

He ducks past the mages, trusting Tifa's promise to follow. There are warriors closing in, rushing to the mages' defense. Ramza greets them with his broadsword.

He feels steel bite into his side as two soldiers attack at once. Luckily, his armor takes the brunt of the swing, and he gets a leg up to kick at the second attacker even as he forces the first back with his sword. He writes off the wound as minor and focuses elsewhere.

He hazards a quick glance back to assure himself Ales is still protected, and continues pushing forward against their enemy.]

[Ales holds back to wait for the fighters in front to clear the way. Staying too close to the fighting would only be disastrous for the Teensie, but to speed things up, he tinkers with his crystal again.

This time, the other Heroes' crystals resonate as their bearers feel themselves growing more powerful. Ales has used his Job to double the attack power of all of his allies.]

Now! Hit them now!

[Red's shots were dead on, but with the different protections that the soldiers had on them it still took several shots to put them down. The shots also served to distract the soldiers even if they didn't get put down.

It had been a long time since she was able to provide cover fire for anyone. It felt good to be doing this. Sure, she wasn't on the front lines, but she was still one hell of a fight. She smirked a little bit as she continued to provide fire for anyone she cold see.]

It's all good!!

[Tifa was used to ducking under bullets and projectiles, but never in this large a fight. She could feel her heart thumping like the rapid pace of a high-speed song, matching rhythm with the barrage of fists she sends towards those unfortunate to stand in her way.

It was a relief to know that Yuffie was in high spirits, especially considering how often the young girl had ducked from conflict during most of their encounters. Tifa couldn't help but be impressed by her vigor, a smile coming to her own lips as it felt nostalgic to be fighting alongside with not only her fellow comrade but heroes not unlike those she knew back on Gaia.

They were closing the distance towards the Transporter, securing a path to lead towards the goal they'd intended to infiltrate.]

We're coming up on it! We've got to secure the perimeter and make sure we aren't cut off from coming back this way? Any takers on guarding our exit, or is this as much a suicide mission as I'd assumed it to be?

I'm sure one person can stay behind. [Yuffi tosses her blade as she speaks never losing the rhythm of battle.]

But it isn't going to be me. [Just so she can make that clear. She looks around at their party.]

How about Red and Sparks stays? They work well together and the four of us can move forward quicker. [It is an idea though she doesn't expect anyone to listen. Either way she is headed for that teleporter with Ales close to her]
