Summary: A letter from Artemicion calls the Heroes of Light for help! Little do they know that they will inadventenly become trapped in the Magitek Facility. The OOC Post for detailed explanations can be found here.

"Do you have any better ideas?" Angeal had hoped that there was something else to add other than him just kicking down a door but Sho was right, and that was why he needed everyone to be prepared and not just himself and Sho.

"I'm all ears." He wasn't being sarcastic, he was being honest. He was willing to take any suggestion offered other than just using brute force on a door that was rusted shut.

"Oh come on! You're wasting too much time worrying about all the 'what ifs'." Allenby psuedo-whines as she shoulder-shoves Angeal to the side.

Taking a deep breath, Allenby punches the door just above the knob, looking to break either the mechanism within the knob or the door frame, then kicks the door in roughly the same place to further force it.

"We're not getting anywhere just talking about it. Besides, I'm not good at the whole 'planning ahead' part." Bravely Allenby stands before the door as it opens, bringing her fists up for a fight.

[ When the door opens it reveals a messy and dusty desk, that seemingly saw a lot of use before its owner abandoned it. There are papers regarding Magitek and Airships on the desk, it appears Cid is a Doctor in Engineering if anything.

All around the room, there are small Airships models, most of which seem to be the same Airships they can see flying around the town. There are also models of a few airships they've probably never seen before, such as the Highwind and Ragnarok. On the wall there is the design for a new type of Airship named "Type-E".

There are also some letters on the desk. They seem to be from a man named "Garland," in which he urges Dr. Cid to come work for him in spite of repeated denials. ]

Rose startled slightly as the twin impacts echoed through the halls as the door came open. She peered inside at all the models curiously, none of her children had been the type to build models but it still reminded her of a child's room somehow.

"Well that was anti-climactic, but at least we have more records to copy."

"Never can be too safe if you've got no idea where you are," Sho said, shrugging as he put his arrow and bow away. He peeked around them and made an amused kind of snort, and started to check the other doors, leaving the exit alone.

"How much of these papers are you gonna take with you?"

"As many as I wanna. It's been nothing but paperwork anyway... I already told you about the robots before..." she says, gathering up some of the notes after pictures are taken.

Allenby looked at some of the models next, getting caught up by the blueprints on the wall. "Someone was proud of their work..." she comments, reaching up to carefully take it down.

Angeal looked around as he stepped into the room but not without making a passing gesture toward Rose by placing a gentle hand on her shoulder with a warm smile. "Just as it should be."

He listened to the others talk amongst themselves and stepped forward to look around. The model ships reminded him of the ShinRa aerospace division that were developing ways of travel around the planet to make lives easier but something was wrong. The dust was telling him a different story and his brow showed what his words didn't say.

"Was, is the operative word. I wonder what happened to the scientist in charge? This place hadn't been used in a while, it seems."

Rose absently pat the hand on her shoulder before pulling away to go look on the other side of the desk. She checked to see if the desk had drawers, and if she noticed any she proceeded to open them and look inside at their various contents.

[ The desk has many drawers, most of them containing Cid's research on Magitek and his correspondence with various people, notably this Garland.

At the same time, footsteps can be heard coming from the corridor where they were moments ago. ]

"Hey, see if we can't get one of those fancy models out of here too... I know it sound stupid bu--" Allenby picks up on the footsteps and smiles.

"Looks like we might finally get some action! It's about time!" Her hands are already up and ready for a fight!

Angeal heard the same thing that Allenby had and wondered if it was a threat. He couldn't just ignore the sounds either when Rose needed to do her search. He left the woman to her devices along with his camera. "If you see something that would be of interest, take a snap shot of it and I'll process it when we get back."

He stepped from around the desk and toward Allenby and dropped into his ready stance, just in case they needed to fight. If they could manange to keep whatever is out there from getting in through the door's threshold, he was fine with this maneuver. At least the enemy wouldn't attack them from behind and he saw it as an advantage.

"I'm ready."

Sho fell back. There wasn't that much room for a normal bow, but he did have one of those smaller pistol bows. All it took was a simple switch - Zal taking the one bow and handing over the other bow - and he set a quarrel to the string.

"Nice place for an ambush," he commented dryly, glancing over at Rose and shifting slightly so he was more of a target than she was.

Rose began quickly snapping pictures of the documents from the drawers, particularity the letters, in case they would prove to be in code or something later. It took her a few minutes to figure out the controls on the device, for it was quite different than the camera's she was used to. But all in all it was a fairly intuitive process. She kept one eye on the door as she worked, long familiarity with dividing her attention allowing her to devote most of her attention to the oncoming footsteps while not slowing down her picture taking.

It was no more complicated than watching kids while doing needlework, after all.

Angeal wasn't about to respond. He was more attentive to the footfalls than to the conversation. It was this type of focus he had that had driven him to make the decisions he had. Of course, he had thought to go on ahead but doing so was risky and never amounted to any good in a strange place hence why the teams were formed to begin with.

"I'll draw their attention." He said with a step to the side to give Sho room to fire. He didn't need to be caught by a stray arrow if he could help it.

[ The person that opened the door didn't seem to be up for an ambush, even less so for battle. Indeed, all Wedge had hand was a book, and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw what exactly had been causing the noise in that room. ]

The Heroes...? What are you doing here?

"What are YOU doing here?" she asks, lowering her fists a couple of inches, but, as SHE wasn't familiar with Wedge, any shady movement would be met with a right jab.

"We got... dumped here so we're kind of exploring our options right now." Surely someone else would chime in with something much more informative.

Rose just kept casually taking pictures, trusting in the natural tendency of people to focus on the young, active (and clearly threatening) individuals right in front of them rather than the quiet old lady in the background. She knew the others would find out whatever needed to be found out from the man, but this might be their one chance to record this information.

Wedge just walks in and puts down his book on the table.

"Artemicion asked Biggs and I to come here to help Jessie and we got separated when the security system activated. Guess he asked you as well, hum?" He sighed. That Moogle is a source of trouble.

Sho lowers his weapon but doesn't take his finger from the trigger. The guy might be who they were looking for but that didn't mean the threat was over. There were the machines that they could hear outside that one door and there were some kind of invaders running about as well somewhere. Otherwise, why would they be pulled into this?

"He said that the building is under attack."

"Yeah, Imperial Spies, crossed their paths. Three of them, they don't seem to be affected by the security system." He paused and sat down on the chair in the room, he seemed to be particularly tired, probably from meeting the spies, "They seem to be after what's stored in the containment rooms."

"Well, which way do we go mister?" Allenby asks, storming over to the desk and slamming her hands down. Her expression made it hard to tell if she was upset with Wedge, or anxious to catch the spies.

"You're one of the guys in charge right? Did they already get what they're after or is there still time to cut them off!?"

"Well, the easiest way would be to reach Jessie and ask her to turn the security system off. She's in the control room-- Gotta take the stairs up to the top."

He paused.

"Can't do it myself, meeting these spies took its toll on me."

Angeal listened with his arms folded over his chest. The idea of spies in the area rang some serious bells in his head. He arrived here fighting off copies of his best friend and that was enough to put him into a militant frame of mind. "Separating isn't an option. By the way it sounds, someone had let them in."

His brow was creased in thought now that he wasn't in fight mode. The whole situation sounded like sabotage.

"Can you get around the security system?"

Something felt a little off. Sho wasn't sure if it was experience talking or just plain stubbornness, but in a building filled with things that he could hear, it seemed a little odd that this guy was able to get around them was a bit odd. He was pretty sure that they were the only people in this part of the building too, unless he was losing his touch or just had become too paranoid.

"Where were you hiding before you came in here?"

Angeal looked to Sho and he saw the logic where Show was going in his line of questioning. His mouth parted just enough to show a subtle hint that he was seeing the same thing that Sho was and that was unnerving.

"Good question." He turned to look at Wedge. "How did you manage to get around without being spotted?" Angeal thought the worst now and stepped behind Wedge to see if anything had followed the official.
