Event || Revelations

Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[Bonnie can't help but giggle. The other moogle's enthusiasm is contagious even if a bit overdone. Of course, as a moogle she's fairly blind to how many of her own Hero's secrets she lets slip in her own energetic moments.]

I'm glad you were able to find her, kupo. Mary said that the Assassin Job here might be connected to her world somehow, kupo. She says it gives people powers that only a few people from her world have mastered, kupo.

I knew it, man! You guys totally looked like aliens. I saw it in my crystal last week.

[The guy seems to buy Johnny's story completely, and is looking rather pleased with himself. Chiaki speaks up from the laptop.]

This is Yasuhiro Hagakure, the Ultimate Clairvoyant. His predictions are renowned for an amazing 30% accuracy.

[At this, Yasuhiro's eyes go wide.]

Whoaaaa! You guys are psychics too? Hey, maybe we should team up! I gotta get these files back to headquarters.

[Chiaki pipes up again.]

He must be talking about the Future Foundation. It's a long story, but they're this world's good guys.

Chiaki's had enough experience with Hacker to recognize the device for what it is, and quickly stashes it away. This kind of thing should come in handy later, for places like the Lunar Gate and the Moon Base. Not to mention allowing her to work on projects at Palitutu's Lab remotely.

"I'll work on copying as much as I can over to some blank storage media."

And that's what she's going to do next. She might not be armed with the best Jobs for it, but she knows her way around systems well enough to copy what looks important.

I'll do my best.

[Pyrrha's actually very confident, but she's never one to brag. Still, her bearing suggests that of a seasoned warrior.]

[Pyrrha doesn't feel good about having to lie - that, and she's awful at it - but she gets the feeling that shaking things up too much would be bad. She's privately relieved that Rose isn't pushing things.]

That's a rather... distinct accent. I don't think I'll have any trouble. Thank you, ah...

[Whoops. Never got a name.]

I don't have much experience with alternate universes. The only one I know about from my world turned out to be really dangerous, and almost destroyed the one I come from.

(Rikku freezes solid at the expression the summoner wears. Yuna, was always so brave. What could possibly have her cousin this rattled?)

...Sanctuary? You mean...

(That awful world, what Yuna had shared sounded terrible. That reaction told the younger girl far more. It must have been, worse than thunder. Rikku tries to offer a consoling squeeze to the mage's hands. Squaring her shoulders to stand tall and determined.)

It's going to be alright. Whatever happens, we'll look out for each other.

Rose. Name's Rose of the Sparrowfeathers.

[Rose isn't one for pushing for the tiny details anyway. She smiles at Pyrrha casually before leaning back against the rim of the hot springs.]

If you ever need help locating anything, look me up and I'll help you out.

[For a small fee.]

[Zell immediately did as Squall asked, but the rest of the checking was thankfully uneventful. Apart from some rather disgusting rooms for the super-neat Zell. In another circumstance, he probably would have repeated the cleanliness guidelines to them. But they were kind of busy looking for this Palitutu person and with the way Squall was acting, this Palitutu was obviously a serious threat.

Once the search was done and they were back in Squall's room, Zell was beyond anxious to hear what had happened. Frowning, he shook his head at Selphie. He didn't know what her nudge was about, but he waited long enough.

Feeling like some unobservant fool, he asked the question that had been nagging him this whole time.]

Alright, so what the hell happened?!

"Cool, what's it like on Mars? Are aliens up there?" Toshi asked.

Brigid finally wiggled out from Yae's grasp and flew to Barkeep and hid behind him. "I thought I was a goner, kupo...The kid sure has a grip."

"H-hey, come back here! I wanna hug you so more!" The little girl was on her tiptoes as she tried to reach for the moogle.

Was it the sound of the hymn again, or returning to Spira, that caused the lump her throat?

Or the fact that, Zanarkand was just around the corner. Was she just going to end up failing to stop Yuna? How could they just stumble to the end like this? The Pilgrimage was supposed to, give her more time!

Stubbornly blinking spiral eyes clear, she scans the proud Ronsos below hopefully. Shoulders falling, Rikku turns back. When she thinks Yuna won't notice, she tries shooting Sephiroth and Jade a strangely pleading look. Breath fogging, she remains silent.

Yeah I doubt this one would do it. I mean, unless you think High School is the worst weapon of all ponykind.

Ed does his best to cover up his sword with his coat. He didn't want to let it go, though, just in case.

"If-- If we just lay low in the crowds, no one will even notice us and we should be fine. Just do what we're told and we won't gain any extra attention in this chaos."

He looks to Jack. "If anyone asks, you're just an officer trying to get us to where we need to go. Right? It's just going to be hard knowing what we need to do here if all we can do is huddle in the basement and hope we don't get bombed out of existence."

[Ed's going to have to cover for all of this craziness. He looks to Ash, who's been eying up K'pandolu's ears and Dylas's... everything with a curious and somewhat suspicious look.]

Out of town is one way to put it. Please, just trust me on this and I'll explain it when it's all over. Right now... have you overheard anything going on? Any rumors about new people in town, or strange people showing up? Um, besides us.

[Ash considers this, looking from Ed back to the strange group accompanying him. After a moment, he nods. He trusts Ed.]

I heard somethin' about a commotion at the guild hall this morning, but I didn't get much details. Maybe you can check with Maris on that, see if she had any eyes on it. I haven't had a chance to follow up. Do you know what's goin' on there?

[Ed grimaces at the mention of the guild hall, but then shakes his head. He turns back to the group.]

If we have to follow up with something at the guild hall... You guys might have to go without me. But let's go see what Maris knows first. If anyone knows, she will. We're going to have to get to her shop without attracting attention, somehow. It's about 15 minutes walking from here. [Ed tries not to eye up Dylas too hard while saying that. But really, the whole group is going to stick out just based on their Hero outfits alone.

Ash doesn't know what's going on, but he doesn't like how Ed's acting. Something bad was up and we wasn't about to step away from this.]

Explain later if ya want, but I'm coming along.

Mary smiled at the kiss, the first real smile she'd had since their arrival in this new space. However the suggestion of the second promise made her look away and chuckle nervously.

"Yeah, everyone got out fine. I'm not sure if I can do that again though. Not sure what it will take to get my Job's airship back after that. I may need to get a new one all myself." Something bigger like a frigate or a brig would be nice.

What, 30%? That doesn't sound so amazing.

[That's really neither here nor there, Johnny figured. He turned to Yasuhiro.]

You need help gettin' those to that HQ or whatever? How far away is it, and how many other dumb thugs are gonna get in the way?

"I won't! I wanna be strong like you and Mommy! But what's ignorance mean and how do I do that?" Yae tilted her head.

"It means they let what they don't know control them," a male voice coming from behind Mary replied. The man had a fairly muscular build and the same dark green hair as the children. Despite the house being Japanese design, he wore jeans and a light shirt.

"Daddy!" Toshi rushed to hug one his father's legs. He laughed and bent down to ruffle the boy's hair. "Hey there. You two aren't bugging our guests too much, are you?"

They both shook their heads. "Mary was just telling us about pirates!"

( there's a shake of her head. she knew that bartz wouldn't remember her, just like the others. almost... all the others... )

I'm not sure... this Sanctuary and Cosmos' are one in the same. ( she remember just about everything, as it was. which was a marked different from the times she usually woke up here. )

( yuna supposed she sounded crazy enough to have deserved that esuna. the withdrew further into herself, seeming to shrink with the realization of what was happening here. poor zell couldn't be further from the truth. this wasn't her home, first, second... not even close. )

Umm. ( she sighs. ) I... I'm sorry. I must have confused you for someone else. ( like another version of yourself, maybe... )

Wait— the fire cavern! ( she brightened again, finally. ) That's where Ifrit should be, isn't that right?

Usually... ( she confirmed, giving the place another glance. ) But I'm not sure... this place is the same. You see, every time we all woke up here before our— memories, they were clouded, sometimes even missing.

( and she looks up finally— ) And I remember everything, this time. Palitutu. Ultima WEAPON. That's why we're here.

( meredy on the other hand, looks pretty impressed. ) Wow! That is wonderful! Thirty percent!

( curious as ever, she leans in to try and get a look of the precious goods he's carrying. )

[BP is about the same size, maybe a bit smaller? than a Teensie. He holds out his paw for a handshake.]

We're visiting kupo! Betel-Po, nice to meetcha!

( yuna's eyes went wide at the sight of the mass of casualties, rushing to the side of the closest body she came across... quickly becoming aware of the reality of the situation. most of these people... they were already dead.

with a gentle hand she shut their eyes, getting up again to search through the bodies in case there were any she could help. it wasn't until several curagas and esunas later that she hobbled again to standing, steadying herself with a hand along the shelves, stumbling when she came across the hidden panel.

with a quick glance behind her again to make sure the coast was clear, she stole away inside, searching the beakers and tables as she went further inside. )

I wouldn't want to interfere with anything you had planned. I'm sure you can think of a good quiet area, Pinkie Pie. Especially when you think about your friends.

[That doesn't mean Fluttershy won't help pick out a place...just in case.]

"That's what it looks like but these..." she's studying the glyph closer, quiet for a moment, then an idea hitting her. "Wait! These represent all the temples up until now!" Yuna's hurrying between pillars, confirming it and double-checking.

"Yes, this one is Djose, and here's Besaid..." she turned towards K'pandolu. "I wonder if it means an aeon somehow sleeps here?"
