The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
It's time.
[Hylia's voice is soft but strong as her steady gaze stays up at the sky. Her palm lightly presses against the door frame of the temple as she turns to head back and continue preparations. Soon they would leave and face their fates.
Her gestures are elegant as she moves, her frame accented by her lovely flowing white dress. Her long hair is loose falling in golden waves down her back. She looks every bit light the goddess that she is even though she, like others, were brought to this world to save it.]
Re: The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
[But much as other Heroes might have tried to shield her, the time for that was long past.]
This will work. This has to work. Right?
Re: The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
[Jacques had taken a particular interest in the younger heroes, as so often their determination reminded him of his own while growing up. He had done his best to be encouraging, and he would not stop now.]
[OOC: Refer to the pics here, since Jacques is human in Crystallis, a skeleton otherwise.]

Re: The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
[It's less boisterous than usual, almost quiet compared to how Jacques usually is. Striding over to stand by his fellow hero, the taller man had an easy and relaxed stance, despite the very real threat they all were prepared to face.]
The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
[A small smile pulls at her lips as her gaze lands on the man standing with her. They have been through much to get to this point and she isn't about to let it go to waist now. Her determination is evident in her features as she looks out over the rain.]
Do you know your task?
[She had made sure that her task is with Ganon knowing the man to have the seeds of darkness growing within him. Jacques has his own task to face.
Within Hylia's mind was Zelda watching and wondering what mission was standing before them.]
Re: The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
Oui, Hy-Lia. I am most prepared.
[Quiet again, being and letting his thoughts go over his task again. He hadn't yet noticed the small presence in his mind that was puzzled and curious. Lydia had always gotten along well with Jacques, the two similar in some ways, so she wasn't quite so alien.]
It will not be easy. But very few zings since coming 'ere 'ave been.
[A small laugh echoing that, deep in his chest and bones.]
Except per'aps for my physique. It is easier to build muscle with a proper body once more, alzough I never let zat stop me before in ze Neizerworld.

Let's believe that things all work out. [he believed it himself after all.] We all fight for a purpose after all.

[She turns to him with a wide smile. Her hair falling in golden waves down her back as she shifted to face the hero. She has respect for many who she's fought beside over the years and Yugi is one such hero.][Should they fail.]
no subject
I assume you are prepared for the fight ahead?
[He knew at least he was, sword at his side and his armour all ready to go. he just needed to put it on.]

As heroes, they had a duty to this world. As "deities", they - or at least Ventuswill personally - saw a duty to ensure the safety of the mortal heroes that fought alongside them. Still, there had still been some things that remained eating at the seemingly young girl (albeit with the voice of an adult), as she called out to her.]
... You're also to be leaving soon, aren't you?
[It isn't really a question at this point. Just words, and if one listens carefully, a hint of sadness behind them.]

She brushes her long golden hair to the side, her fingers lightly pressing against her white dress as she addresses the girl.]
Yes. [Zelda watches through Hylia's eyes in wonder.
Where is she going? Hylia..]
You will be leaving as well.
no subject
[Her tone is serious, if not grim. This wasn't the time for her to just be "herself."]
The longer we delay, the more we will lose to the Calamity. ( "The Calamity? The hell is going on here? ... Hey, Ventuswill! Answer me!" ) Yet... I can't shake this feeling.

[Thancred smiles, but behind it lies a great deal of concern. Still, the more positive everyone thinks about the mission, the better it should turn out. He hopes, at least.]
no subject
[Hylia turns with a light smile. She respects the way that Thancred stays positive through all this even though they've lost friends and companions through their fight. She can feel that this is the end.
Zelda's voice rang clearly in her mind. Why is it the end? There was something that was unclear. As if some information missing and Zelda couldn't make sense of it. Yet as the dream continued she became more and more aware.]
Have you prepared for battle?
no subject
[act as though it isn't, and it might well be the case. He's well used to pushing back dread, at least.]
Still no clues as to what's got it so excited?

Trying to shake off the feeling someone's watching her, the professor goes to meet Hylia near the temple entrance. Even with this many people around, a goddess is hard to miss.]
Hylia. [She gives a respectful nod. Talking to Hylia always makes her feel like she's addressing Yulia herself.] Is there anything I can do for you before we leave?
no subject
[Her tone is soft and her countenance confident as the professor approaches her. Hylia has respect for the woman knowing her to be the kind sort. Her skills were vast but mostly as support which she finds suits her friend.]
I am ready.
[She only needs to summon her harp and the sword but it wasn't the time to do so just yet and so she waits.]
Are you helping others prepare?
no subject
[She smiles wanly.]
Perhaps I'm worrying overly much... but better safe than sorry.

[Sephiroth's low, steady voice rumbles to Hylia's side as he too take a moment to step out into the rain that eternally keeps pouring down outside. It's of course down to the dimming of the Water Crystal, as if the world might prolong it's life just a fraction long enough by the heavens opening up like they have been.
Additional lines mar his face as he turns it up towards the sky as if there might be refreshment to take from it even now. The tell-tale signs of his long entrapment within this often too-mortal coil. Not that it would matter, for very much longer.
What do you mean, it doesn't- He has no room for doubts and so that tiny voice is locked firmly away.]
I hope that your preparations are well underway.

We will not fail.
[Hylia's tone was sharp though laced with unwavering confidence as she addressed him. Zelda could feel the strange sensation just as Hylia did but she doesn't understand. Her confusion is palpable though the goddess keeps it from her features.
He's my friend..
Hylia quiets the voice but not by force. She treats it like a lost child giving her guidance and knowledge. Any soul can be corrupted by the darkness.]

Re: The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
Do you think we have a chance? It's advanced so far now.
[Cloud wasn't about to give up, but he'd be a fool to not notice how badly the odds were stacked against them.
For the moment he was wearing his black combat clothes from home. His proper armor was waiting back in his room for when they were ready to begin, along with the two swords he had taken to carrying on his back. One for use, the other for a memory.]
The Goddess Hylia - [Open]
As long as we haven't given up hope. We have a chance.
[As long as they are alive there is a chance.]
Will you be on your guard?
[They both know who she's talking about having sensed the darkness with in Sephiroth as his powers returned. Her watchful gaze is as always on Ganondorf seeing him as the seed of darkness within their ranks. It is her hope that they can stop the calamity but there are more than just the obstacles that they can see in their paths.]

[Every placing of his boots draws him one step closer to the golden Goddess for whom he worships and fights for, his eyes lowering from her gaze as he once again finds himself without the sum of worth needed to even lay but an accidental glance upon her beauty.]
This.. This is-?!
[The strange chatter echoing about his thoughts is discarded, the time needed to discern whether his anxiety and stress had come to jeopardize his conscience no longer existed. He'd been summoned to her side, called upon in order to give his life for the cause of Crystallis, the Goddess, and her people.]
Zelda?? Is that.. Is that.. Zelda? No..
[Dropping to one knee, the Knight had long prepared himself for this day, knowing that a time would come where the Heroes would need to answer a call far greater than anything books or wild speculation could imagine. With the gifted sword upon his back, the Hero extends a single hand out to Hylia, keeping his eyes away from her gaze.]
I am your sword to command. Whatever your desire, I shall fulfill it.

LINK!
This is my hero.
The first hero?
Yes.
There is affection in her thoughts as Hylia gently speaks to Zelda. It is as if the two's emotions blur together before separating once more. Zelda can feel Hylia's connection to the brave warrior and in return Hylia feels Zelda's connection with her own hero.
Hylia's heart settles knowing who the voice and soul who accompany her belong too. She can at least impart this knowledge to her future self.]
Rise. Now we fight side by side.
