Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, they now have the possibility explore Aqures Tosf and take part in the events that ultimately led to their arrival in Crystallis. [Yuffie has no idea what Mooshoo of her time might be thinking but she's going to have words with him once they return home... if they return home.]

He's gone?

[She doesn't know what Sheena might mean by that.]

He'll be there when we get back, ya know?

[Not that she's comforting her. It's just a logical thought.]

[ Sheena shrugs lightly. ]

Or maybe not born yet. I don't know. I just know he's not here.

[ And Yuffie, you just may not want to know. ]

Maybe. I hope so.

[ Sheena's logic, however, makes her wonder just how much they may be changing things anyway. ]

[It's really obvious that no one else but Sheena and Yuffie are currently here. Certainly no more wayward moogles anyway.]

Well, there ya go then. Looks like you have it all worked out.

[This feels like it's getting weird.]

[ She means "here" in general. ]

Do I? I'm not so sure, and while I can hope he's there when we get back, there's no guarantee he will be. Life changes that quickly.

[ Or that they'll even go back. ]

[Yuffie hums softly.]

I don't think things change that quickly.

[It takes time usually and Yuffie is no strange to the work and time it takes to change things.]

[ Sheena shakes her head. ]

One second you can be alive, and the next, no longer. And in that blink of an eye, things change--even if some things continue on as they had before.

[ Such a joy, isn't she? ]

[She blinks.]

That’s really depressing.

[Yuffie’s palms move to her hips as she looks up at Sheena.]

Seriously stop that, if you think about the end goal your journey there is gonna suck.

[Cloud taught her that much.]

True though. I've had it happen to me once. I really don't want it to happen to me again.

[ Sheena couldn't help a wry expression. ]

But if the outcome isn't bad, then that makes the journey worth it, doesn't it?

[Yuffie just stares at her.]

Suuuuuuuure.

[She’s been on a lot of journey’s though none of them were really planned and the outcome could have very much been bad. She’s just the type to live in the moment which meant not always thinking of the future.]

[ Sheena sighs. ]

I don't mean dying being a good thing, but if it helps the journey reach a good ending...then it's not a death in vain, right?

[ Sorry, Yuffie, but living in the moment is kinda what got Sheena's group into their mess to begin with. Crazy kids and their impulses. ]

[Yuffie’s just gonna stare at her.]

I’m not dying. I’ll help and reach a good ending.

[She’s selfish like that.]

[ At her stare, Sheena sighs. ]

I wasn't referring to me, either. But someone had died on our journey...and if he hadn't, we wouldn't have been able to reach any ending.

[ She paused. ]

His name was Corrine.

The moogle?

[Yuffie’s sort of missing the point but she quickly catches up.]

No… a friend of yours?

[She’s lost friends too and there really is no comfort that she can give for that. The ninja princess suddenly feels awkward and more than anything she wishes that there is something that she can do.]

[ Sheena had started shaking her head when Yuffie finally realizes, and she begins to nod. ]

Yeah. He was my best friend.

[ And that should explain why she's so freaked out by this Corrine being "missing". ]

[Yuffie is feeling super awkward now.]

So hey! I'll look this way. You look that way and we'll find them

[It's all she can think of and standing here awkwardly isn't going to fix anything. Yuffie isn't the sort who's really good with comforting others.]

[ Sorry, Yuffie... ]

Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. Thanks.

[ Letting Yuffie off the hook of awkwardness is the least she can do since she put her there in the first place. ]
