Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, they now have the possibility explore Aqures Tosf and take part in the events that ultimately led to their arrival in Crystallis. "But can draw us back and forth to that dream place."

He considers a moment, and then shakes his head in a quick motion to clear the thought.

"Shit, dude, I ain't in any shape to try 'n puzzle this out now. Or maybe if I drink more, it'll all start making sense. Sure as hell can't make less at this point."

He sighs and finishes off what was left in his mug. Beer will take care of this problem for now.

Jack pauses, and then he laughs into his own drink. "I'm sorry. Really. It's a hard thing to turn off. Used to be my job to," what's the word he's looking for? "Analyze. Solve a problem before it blows up this big. We just wanna know what's going on. Even if we don't have a clue at figuring it out."

He takes a long drink, and then makes a noise like he's figured something out. Swallows, then gestures with his drink. "You know. You know. I don't think I'd be quite as pissed off about all this, if it didn't feel like this whole thing was directly rigged against us figuring it out. Kalki. The people in the castle. All of 'em."

"'N my job was to do whatever mission the Initiative sent me on, so we could fix things." A sudden realization makes Johnny suddenly pull a surprised yet disgusted face. "Jesus Christ. They really did make a solider outta me." He shakes his head, as if that would clear that label from him, and wished his glass wasn't so empty now.

"Sure does seem like no one on any side wants us to know shit here. We're just, like, runnin' from one stupid thing to the next and actin' like we got a clue. We don't know shit. Some Heroes we are."
