[Johnny is going to do what he knows best - play some music. He's brought along his guitar to play some songs. Consider it his only diplomatic measure. He'll be playing both songs from his home, with a few from both Exsilium and Aqures Ixen in just for good measure. He's curious to see if the locals will recognize any of the latter.
While he's in between tunes, he'll talk with the residents of the city, or any Heroes who've stopped by.]
Pretty cool, huh. 'Least no one here's tries to hit me for playing. Yet.
[Gaming District]
[Johnny is stunned by the fact that this world has video games. Stunned AND thrilled. He's going to be playing as much as a broke guy from off continent is allowed, and he's going to love every minute of it.]
Can you friggin' believe this? The rest of the world's been holding on us! There's hope for this planet yet.
[Adventurer's End]
[Of course he hits up the pub at the end of the day, talking with adventurers of this continent about places to visit and explore. He's been leaving out his mention of being a Hero of Light, but he does get a lot of questions about the people where he's from due to how he looks. It's starting to get hard to come up with excuses, so he'll look for anyone around he knows to use them as an out, waving at you to stop as he trots over.]
Hey, thanks. I kinda had to get away from them for a minute. Uh, no big deal.
[Plaza]
So are you gay too?
[She's completely serious about this considering how he and Reno go at it but then Manami had mentioned him too so maybe he's into guys. Yuffie hasn't talked to him in depth but taking a closer look he is pretty cute.
She really wants to poke his horns and as she continues to stare she considers the action.]
no subject
'The hell kinda question is that? Why should I explain to you?
no subject
You don't have too. It isn't really you I was wondering about but I don't think Reno will tell me.
[She's annoyed that the stupid Turk doesn't think she's sexy but tails after every other person and their mother. She assumes that it's because he's gay, she's never seen Reno go after girls besides his usually flirty self so she's curious.]
Oh, and one of my friends said you were cute.
[Yuffie takes another bite from her fruit talking as if all this is normal.]

Adventurer's End
[Ray's in the middle of grabbing a beer from the bar. Right next to him, a moogle in a suit, sunglasses, and fedora is ordering four fried chickens and a coke.]
no subject
[He shakes his head, looking annoyed, but also like someone who's used to this.]
The people here are pretty cool otherwise. It's crazy to think they've been here all this time, and we're just now getting here.
no subject
[Ray took a sip of his drink, considering the second comment, while Joliet clarified that he wanted four whole chickens, nevermind the fact that it was twice his weight in food.]
That's sort of always been the way with exploration, though. Look at the Native Americans, for example.

Gaming District
How does this mean hope?
no subject
[He's not the one for the job, but he knows there are much smarter people among the Heroes who could. People with the appropriate Job classes.]
no subject
[Considering her lack of knowledge in history among many other things, she couldn't quite understand the meaning of those two words.]
So you really like these video games and such?

[Adventurer's End]
eavesdroppinghas proven to be more fruitful than actually engaging any one of the denizens on this new continent in a conversation. Most of them, particularly a few Bangaa had delivered a few unsavory looks in his direction during the day as if they could smell the hard graft that he put into keeping himself strong and in shape, putting Sephiroth in turn a little on edge, he caught the distinct feeling of competition but didn't act on it. Perhaps his uniform didn't help, either.Said Esdham-issued jacket is strewn atop the barstool upon which Sephiroth is sat, his off-white shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a couple of the top buttons undone as he sips at a small tumbler-glass of something which has to be --if not closely resembled-- a type of whiskey. It's warm enough inside at least so as not to have to wear a jacket.
He tosses his head to one side as Johnny approaches, flicking one of his bangs out of the way as he turns to look over his fellow Hero of Light. Johnny does have horns, but it's something Sephiroth's adjusted to for the most part.]
By all means. [He looks back over Johnny's shoulder at the eyes that have followed him over to the bar but quickly dismisses them out of mind.] It's all...pretty intense, right?
no subject
[He shakes his head and rolls his eyes a little, before taking a long drink from his glass.]
All 'n all, this is a pretty cool place, though. So weird to think it's been here all this time, all these people here, and we were totally shut off from one another.
no subject
[Sephiroth flexes his grip around the tumbler he holds, with his wrist on the bar, knowing it's not been a moment yet since he last took a sip and not wanting to be pulled into the social inclination to take another because your company has just done so.]
There is some sort of barrier separating us, somehow. You could feel it when we passed through on the Enterprise. We don't even know if there might yet be good reason for it, too.

Re: open
[ Logen really doesn't know what to make of the gaming district, let alone videogames more generally. It's utterly strange to him. ]
no subject
[Johnny will walk him over to this world's analog of Pac-Man, which involves being chase by goats instead of ghosts. He figures this one should be easy enough to explain.]
So ya use this stick to control that thing on screen. All ya gotta do is have it eat up all those little dots, and avoid the goats. These bigger dots make ya go faster and let ya eat the goats 'n get 'em out of yer way. Once ya get everything on screen, you move on to the next stage. Easy as that.
[He'll play through a round to show him, and once he dies, steps aside for Logen to give it a whirl.]
Go on 'n try.
no subject
[ Logen's fingers are quick, and he sort of understands it, but he is quickly enough eaten by goats. ]
Shit! They're fast!

Gaming
[Albel's confusion is touched with distinct unease as he watches Johnny handle the controls, the figures on the screen apparently responding.]
How does this give you hope? What are you doing to them?
no subject
And I'm guessin' they don't have video games where yer from. It's just a game, dude, relax. I'm controllin' them with this stick and these buttons. Tryin' to make it through the game. Get points. That sorta thing.
[He's a little out of practice, but being that this is just some sort of Super Mario analog, he gets used to it pretty quickly.]
no subject
[Albel grit his teeth.]
Did you ever consider it might not be just a game to them? That you could ruin their lives?

I tried to resist. But then I accidentally Johnny.
[Reno looked up with a smile and a nod to the empty seat beside him.]
No problem. Hard t' be famous. Looks like this place is treatin' ya well, though.
at least these 2 won't kill each other like in the above thread...
So far, yeah. But I can only dodge questions about where I'm actually from so many times before I wanna throttle someone. [He didn't even want to admit being a Hero of Light, let alone talk about where he was from or what he was.]
Besides, one of the first things we got told here was to watch our backs if we looked like we weren't from around here. I can't even pretend to be Elezen, like most of the rest of ya.

Adventurer's End
[She glances over her shoulder to see a dissapointed group of men dissolve into the crowds. Many of them offered her to buy her a drink or began to drop some pick up lines so cliched she had to stop herself from gagging.]
So, how've you been? I know we don't get to talk much but hey, gotta start somewhere, right?
no subject
[In fact, it was time to order another beer and relax now. Though some of the locals had been supplying his drinks so far, so at least it was worth his time.]
I've been, uh, good, I guess. Last month was pretty insane, so I haven't really had time to talk to much of anyone sometimes. [Between ghost stuff, friendly monster hunts, the ghost ship, the amnesia island, it's just been one thing after another.]
What about you? I haven't seen ya since that whole crazy ghost ship thing.

Wow...I think this is even bigger than the Gold Saucer's arcade.
[He hasn't been but he's done his research. There's definitely a bigger variety of games.]

Aqures Ixen needs to get on top of this. We're slackin'.
