And I doubt they'll just stop being at each others throats easily.

[Yugi had his arms crossed his his chest. The moment after he had spoken he stopped, he was trying to think over what they did have. That and not full understanding how anything anyone was doing was actually helping anyone.]

But we still have the chance to do something... Even if slim.

Jaeha wasn't neutral by choice. It was more due to the absence of caring at all that he hadn't bothered to cling to one side or the other. If they managed to find a plan that would guarantee the redemption of the world, he would have been on board for that. But when the only solution suggested was one that resulted in the deaths of billions and billions of people, he chose to abstain. Necessary? He wouldn't claim that it was or wasn't, simply because he didn't know. But he did know that it wasn't right, and he was adamantly against the fact that these Heroes were making these decisions for other Heroes, without agreement, without the agency they deserved. And of course, no one was willing to sacrifice themselves for this cause, so he didn't buy into the tragic nobility of either side.

All of it was foolish, and he himself would have likely died soon even without the Calamity nipping at his heels. He'd long since come to terms with the inevitability of his own death. It happened.

"Unless we can offer an alternative solution that doesn't involve slaughtering crystallized Heroes, I wouldn't count on talking any sense into either side. Desperation makes idiots of us all." His arms remained folded, his head bowed.

But he hadn't come all this way to sit around and say 'everyone is stupid.' If he didn't have an idea to bring forward, he wouldn't have bothered coming to the meeting at all. He lifted his head with a smug little smile on his face. "Seems to me we've got an option, though. I've spent most of my days in Mysidia, and there's one place everyone seems to have forgotten: The Temple of Heroes of Light."

He pushed away from the wall, lifting up his hands in a carefree shrug. "True, it's sealed tight, and the only way to get in seems to have something to do with these Onion Knight classes. It might have the answer, it might not. Either way, it's the one last mystery yet to be solved. What's more," he leaned on the table, "it's hope. And that's something none of us have had for a long time."

The Temple...

[Chiaki blinks, thinking that over for a moment before nodding back.]

It's worth a look, probably.

[One habit she'd never quite gotten rid of was appending that word to the ends of her sentences. It makes her seem a lot less confident in her friends and their ideas than she actually is.]

Do we need a master Onion Knight to get inside? I only know one of those, but he might be willing to try.

[She does smile at the word 'hope' as it leaves Jaeha's lips, though.]

It's the best we've got right now. Hope is something we all need to learn how to feel again.

I know one who is close to Onion Knight. That's Ten Jobs, right?

[Shining was thinking about Hanasaki, the timid girl he had met all those years ago.]

Right.

[Jaeha never bothered to take on any other jobs; he was satisfied with Dragoon and Monk, and had never wanted to deal with Cid in order to take on any others. Why would he? But now, it seemed like it might actually be important. Still, there had to be at least four others still out there who had the potential.]

I'm afraid I've never been that social, so I don't know anyone still around who might have the requirements. But the rest of you might.

I don't know anyone either, but as those two already said, they know of someone, but... Do you happen to know where those people are. Unless it's the same person.

[Yugi really didn't have much to say, he himself didn't have such a job as he stuck to the select few he did like, that didn't make him feel as alone as he felt sometimes.]

The one I know is Bartz. I'm not sure where he is. He wanders around a lot.
