Summary: The Heroes of Light have a vision-- They are living through a hypothetical future where the Sage share his knowledge with them, and things went horribly wrong as some Heroes of Light became the villains in this timeline. Maybe they'll revise their thoughts on getting all of that knowledge.
Warning: The apocalypse, deaths, tragedies, overall a lot of very bad things.

"Got that right, Princess. Your sharpness hasn't changed."

He replied, resting a hand on her head as he laughed at her words. Yes, Yuri did enjoy making things difficult for those he cared about. It wasn't on purpose. He was just a bit more complicated to deal with than many other people. Yuri always liked the blunt honesty about Yuffie. She was always straight forward and he never had to dance around her just to get answers. Even if they had a few rough patches, he was grateful to her as well. She made things more relaxing for him from time to time and reminded him there were still good people in the world.

"Nah, I'm not forcing anything on her. None of us expected it since it was rather quick. He died in pain, but he sure went out with a bang. She's probably taking it a lot harder than Brave Vesperia is. We all knew that it was only a matter of time. It was unfortunate that it was soon. He left us with valuable information though."

He replied giving a shrug. However, despite all that, he didn't want anything to happen to Rukia and it showed in his tone. His mood changed some when Yuffie asked how he really was. Well, he certainly didn't show it in his face, but he wasn't as over it as he seemed to be.

"Don't worry about it."

Yuffie raised an eyebrow at Yuri.

"You know I'm going to worry about you no matter what you tell me right?"

She then lightly pushed his hand off her head. Her hair was longer now and just as annoying to brush, she just didn't complain about it as openly as she had when she first began to grow out her hair.

"You can pretend you don't care all you want but I know you do."

"Yeah, yeah."

He dismissively waved his arm at her comment. Yuri knew that better than anyone how stubborn Yuffie could get. He's telling her not to worry but it's not like she wouldn't do it anyway. The girl had a knack for doing things like that. Not that he hated it. It's nice to be cared for and he appreciated it honestly.

Yuri lets his hand fall to his side as she pushed it away. It's not like wouldn't make up for the messy hair later or anything.

"Right."

He replied giving her a once over, "You got me there. Funny how long we've known each other. Not that I'm complaining."

"It almost sounds like your complaining." Her voice was light as she teased him. She knew not to get into a teasing match with Yuri because she'd eventually loose.

Her large hard eyes watched him and she wondered silently how he was really feeling. It had been a long time since they met and like most of Yuffie's relationships it started bumpy and somehow turned into a deep familiar friendship. She smiled at him and then shook her head.

She didn't really enjoy reminiscing but it was nice from time to time. "You know." She lightly bumped his shoulder. "It just means you can't hide anything from me."

"You can take it as such if it makes you happy, Princess," he replied with a light retort to her words followed by a brief laugh. She would and Yuri would be merciless when it came to teasing his friends. He loved them all dearly, but he also enjoyed messing with them. Yuffie was one of the few that he spent a lot of time around.

Yuri glanced back at her as she watched him with a hard gaze. That girl really knew when to make people feel a bit uncomfortable. He didn't show it though. After a moment, he looked back towards the setting sun and the skies along with the world beneath the overcasting cliff. He ruffled her hair again for the shoulder bump.

"Sounds about right. Same for you. So make sure to call me when you need me. I don't really care what they think of me."

Yuffie laughed softly even as she tried to stop him from messing up her hair… again. She ended up taking his hand and holding it for a bit so he wouldn’t keep doing that. She had things to do later and she didn’t want to have to fix her hair; partially because she’s lazy.

“I’ll call.” She smiled. “If I didn’t I feel like you’d find a way to get back at me.”

Not yelling of course, it’d be something far worse because it was Yuri and he knew exactly how to both Yuffie. She looked out of the cliff face and then shook her head.

“Well, I mostly just came to make sure you were okay.” She finally released his hand trusting him not to mess with her hair. “But I think I might stick around if you don’t mind company.” They didn’t have to talk. Since Vincent’s death Yuffie had gotten used to sitting in silence, it was just nice not to be alone.

Yuri's hand gets held by Yuffie,but he didn't make any attempts to rip his hand out of her grip. He let he do what she wanted, since he enjoyed messing with her hair. He was pleased with her reaction as she called him out again.

"Good to hear. I'd hate to have to send Repede after you for not telling me. I'd definitely get back at you and it'd be pretty damn embarrassing."

He replied with a chuckle from his lips. There wasn't a lot of yelling which was good. Yuri continued to gaze at the scenario beyond the cliff with Yuffie for a moment. He lets his hand rest on the ground once she puts it down. He seemed done with it for the time being.

"I'm doing pretty fine to be honest," he replied giving her a smile. It reassuring enough.

"Knock yourself out. I'll make us dinner later if you stay longer."

"Dinner?" Yuffie grinned. "Don't you know how to show a girl a good time."

Her voice was light and teasing as she lightly knocked her shoulder against his. It was nice to just sit and talk and relax with Yuri. She never felt stressed or like she needed to do anything when he was around.

"I sure do. We'll make something from my world this time and you can pick the dessert again."

He replied with a laugh at her words. He played along with her as usual as well. It was definitely nice and relaxing. He didn't have to worry about much and the small gestures and conversations definitely made things seem lighter than they were.
