The two girls were working with him as members of their own establishments and Brave Vesperia. Yuri continued to carry the guild while his friends either diminished or got lost in the fights. He was going to keep going for them and no matter what he wasn't going to give up. He'll find a way to save everyone, even if he had to sacrifice himself. It was better than sacrificing the people. He turned towards her as she started to talk to him again.
"That abominable thing needs to be destroyed," Yuri replied giving a flat look on the mention of the Diamond Weapon, "Go on," he added as he waited for her to continue speaking.
"Not a problem. That is the job of Brave Vesperia and I'm not the type to let citizens get caught in the crossfires between the Heroes of Light and the ones that don't call themselves that anymore," he replied giving her a nod, "You can count on it, however I can't promise I won't get physical if my guild or people are threatened in any way."

"...I cannot speak for our enemies, but it is likely that they will fire upon anyone who is suspected of lending us aid," she replied slowly, wanting to make sure she hadn't misunderstood his intentions due to her own hope and quiet desperation. "I do not know if they will allow for neutrality on the battlefield. But I will guard your flank personally," she promised. Perhaps all he wanted was a guarantee that any personnel he brought in would have ample protection from harm. In that case, she would give what she could. After all he'd done for her, she could never truly repay him for restoring her identity and her freedom.
Her gaze sank a little lower, resting on his hand for a few moments. Then she frowned to herself and hunched a little further over her knee.
"Thank you. You have always been a man I know I can depend upon."

He replied giving her a shrug. Sure he was making an enemy out of people but it's not anything new. Yuri was after all the type to do what he wants. There's no going about it to be honest. Anyone can assume what they like. It's the truth that would be out in the open. He's not doing it for either side, but he's not interested in watching innocent civilians die in the process of an ongoing fight between Heroes of Light and their former Heroes of Light.
"Whether they allow it or not, it's none of my business. I do what's in the best interest of the innocent people, not in the best interest of two conflicting sides, trying to kill each other over their ideals-- as admirable as that can be."
HE shifted as he gave her a serious look. One that didn't often come from the vigilante.
"You've been a huge help yourself. Don't sell yourself short. Just because we aren't on the same side, doesn't mean I can't help you."

Elsa turned her head, briefly studying his face, then she smiled. Of course, she appreciated what he was trying to do. But there was no need. She owed him, plain and simple. It wasn't a matter of self-loathing, nor did she feel as if she were drowning in regret. She didn't like what she'd done, but it was something to work toward, not an excuse to wallow in misery.
Still...
Elsa was quiet for a moment, head tipped slightly to the side as she regarded him. "I do have one personal favor I would like to ask of you just the same. Grant it, and I shall give you whatever you wish in return."

He replied turning back to the setting sun. Of course, there wasn't any lie in Yuri's voice. He was rather honest with how he felt about others. Raven had done bad things and he still accepted the former soldier just the way he is. The same went for Judith as well. He was fairly good at trusting others if they worked hard to change themselves and understanding they made a mistake in the past. Ellie had made mistakes in the past herself and not all of it was her fault. He remembered that some of the things she did were because of the partial block in her memories along with the moogle.
"That isn't a problem. There isn't anything I can't do. I don't need anything in return if we can stop this ridiculousness."
no subject
"It has nothing to do with the Calamity. It's just something I don't think we'll get around to otherwise, the way things are going. So I hope you are prepared."
Even if he wasn't, Elsa was ready. Her gloved hand covered his, fingers curling around the edge of his palm. But before he'd have much of a chance to react to that, she leaned in and stole a kiss. She lingered just long enough that it couldn't be considered a peck, but had no intention of overstaying her welcome. She withdrew slowly, eyes still closed, and smiled with pure satisfaction.
"There," she exhaled, and released his hand. "That is all I wished for. You still want nothing in return?" she grinned mischievously.

"You make it sound like it's a bad choice on my part for saying yes,"
He replied raising a brow at her as she grasped his hand in her and curling around his palm. He's not quite sure what she's trying to do but he watches her quietly waiting for an answer if anything. Instead of the answer, he gets a kiss on his lips out of nowhere as she leaned forward. There's an almost surprised look on his face at her sudden action, but there was no trace of embarrassment or bashfulness at the finish of it. He seemed a little lost, unsure what to say for a moment but eventually, he simply brushed it off. She's bold. He gave her that.
"You're the type to take what she wants-- but we both knew that."
He replied after a moment. A smile graced his lips. As taken back as it had been, he didn't take it to heart too much, "None at all. There's honestly nothing I want or need right now."
Though, he wasn't going to impose other things on her in regards to what he wanted.

"The world is going to hell, but I am at peace. I know I have done all that I was able. There is nothing left to regret. I sense this is the case with you too." The last sliver of the sun disappeared behind the mountains, and she lowered her head with one faint chuckle before she pushed herself up to her feet.
"You believed in me when I was at my worst. It is because you persisted that I can stand here now without guilt or remorse. That is a grand gift I cannot repay." The gravel crunched under her boots as she turned toward him and cocked her head to the side with her usual crooked smile. "You should ask for things. I do not think I am the only one who wishes to show gratitude for what you've done, even if you do not want it." She walked past him, pausing only to pat Repede. "Even kissing felt like it was more for my satisfaction than yours. I must go and make preparations."
Elsa turned away and began picking out her path. "Be careful out there. When it all ends, I hope we are still standing side by side."
no subject
"In more ways than one, I suppose. Of course, there's no point in regretting on what couldn't have been done. The world is slowly dying and we're stuck in a hole trying to get out of it."
He replied shrugging some at her laughter. The sun finally vanished and darkness had enveloped the sky. The night sky filled with sparkling stars wasn't so bad either. Yuri looked up on it for a moment before getting to his feet following her example.
The vigilante chuckled at her comment, "You don't need to pay me for anything. I did what was necessary and what was right on my justice. It doesn't matter if I get credit for it or not. I'm not doing it to be well known you know?"
He replied as Repede shifted to his side.
"I suppose you could say that. I've got all I need and there's nothing else I want other than to restore peace to this world so we can all get the hell out of here and back to our respected places. We all have things to accomplish elsewhere."
He replied as he started walking in the opposite direction, "Heh, you bet your pretty little head that we will. Now, don't go dying on me, or else I'll really be pissed," there was a long pause before he added, "Be careful."
With that he disappeared into the darkness.
