Summary: The Heroes of Light have a vision-- They are living through a hypothetical future where the Sage share his knowledge with them, and things went horribly wrong as some Heroes of Light became the villains in this timeline. Maybe they'll revise their thoughts on getting all of that knowledge.
Warning: The apocalypse, deaths, tragedies, overall a lot of very bad things.

Kaji instantly wraps his arms around her, right there to comfort her. There's something very familiar about this situation, a memory, a real one, pops into Kaji's mind, of catching Shinji trying to run away. In that situation, Kaji talked him into standing up and fighting again. And right now, looking at Ib, all he can feel about that moment is shame.

"You don't have to. You don't have to fight ever again." Quiet, so only Ib can hear, and no one else would guess how afraid she is. Shinji, he talked into fighting because the enemy was bearing down on them right that second, and Shinji was actually the only person who could fight it. But Ib? Kaji has been angry since the very first day that Ib was ending up fighting. "You don't have to."

There are excuses after excuses, but don't give them right now, Kaji. "I'll take you home. And you'll be safe there, I promise."

Ib will probably feel differently after she calms down. But right now she's just so tired of worst case scenarios. That's all they ever see. How they can't win. They're not good enough. Not strong enough. If they're going to lose anyway does it matter how hard they try?

She really doesn't know anymore. His offer to just go home and be safe and not think about all the scary and painful things they saw is too tempting to do anything except nod.

"Okay..."

She can hear everyone else debating with each other and the sage, but she doesn't want to talk to him. Honestly Ib doesn't care what he has to say.
