"Woof," a sound from Repede as if saying that he was telling the truth. He showed that by trotting over to Rukia now. Of course, Yuri always had good intentions for those around him. He never seemed to mind pampering his friends if it were for the right reasons.
"Sure thing if you want to hike a little higher," he replied giving her a nod. He had nothing to do at the moment and waiting for reports were boring. He might as well spend time with Rukia and help her feel better before letting her girl return to her home somewhere.
Eventually, they made it to the hill and Yuri flopped down beside her, sword resting on ones shoulder and his back propped straight before he fell back into the grass and looked up at the sky.
"We have to make the best of it while we can right? It's not like there's no way to stop everything. We'll eventually find the right way on our own, with help or no," Yuri paused to give her a look for her comment, "You're funny thinking I'd just up and leave you behind because you got a few different points of views. Can't say I agree with all of 'em but I have no right to stop you from what you want, unless you're doing something awful."
It's kind of like warning for her not to try anything too insane.

It took all her might not to put her arms around his neck at that very moment. It would have shown too much of her desperate resolve, however, so she restrained herself.
The journey up the hill wasn't particularly taxing. She chuckled, remaining in an upright sitting position as she watched Yuri flop back. He really seemed to believe that the answer still remained hidden from them. Who was she to tell him he was wrong? If it all ended, then she hoped he remained blissfully unaware.
But, then again, it didn't have to end anymore. "No, nothing awful," she answered him, gazing over the land to where the sun hung suspended just above the distant mountains, fat and gold. Nothing awful at all...
Rukia closed her eyes for a few moments, savoring the fading warmth and light. It would be gone all too soon.
"Have you found any leads?" she asked, folding her hands on her knee and resting her chin upon her knuckles.

Even if she told him the truth, he wouldn't give up. Yuri was the type to see things through no matter how rough it was. He wouldn't give up or surrender. He wouldn't let fate take control him. He certainly wouldn't let any set of words stop him from fulfilling his own ideals. He wanted to do it in a different way-- much different from everyone else.
"Other than possible attacks from both parties against innocent people, not much else. I'm searching and the rest of the Guild is giving me a hand on it too. Things became a bit tough with all the different sides. Not that it's going to stop me or any of them."
He replied, closing his eyes. The leads were further and further away but he felt like he was getting closer somehow.

Her gaze then drifted to Yuri, wondering if he was truly as peaceful as he looked. The man was good at hiding his troubles, she knew. But maybe he really did believe the answer was just around the corner. Keeping this information from him sat sour in her stomach. They were guildmates, after all. And more, they were friends.
"I may have found something," she told him, somewhat hesitantly. "There are risks, but it could also save the lives of everyone involved." She looked down at Repede and rubbed one of his ears. "...It may even save those who have already died."
Like Raven. Especially Raven.

It's too late to change anything, but he was going to try his damn hardest to change it if he could. He did believe that and he didn't want to stray from his own ideals. He's not going to give up on anything because it was impossible or it seemed like it wasn't going to change. Hell, he'll change it his way.
"Oh yeah? Whatever you find, you need to tell me. It would be pretty annoying if I had to find the answers second handed," he replied giving her a look. Yuri sighed a moment before speaking again, "The dead should stay dead. We don't even know what would happen if that were possible."
no subject
But if the option was there, she wasn't sure she could discipline herself enough not to go for it, especially if that person was never meant to die in the first place. Raven had been ripped out of his world and reality to die in Crystallis. She was determined to correct that much.
"We know what will happen if nothing else changes," she sighed, frowning. "Time is running out."
no subject
Raven wasn't meant to die, but he couldn't stop Raven if he decided it was time to kick the bucket. Raven had done much in his time and he had been alive longer than most people. It would be more than just rude to disturb his eternal rest. Yuri might not have wanted Raven to die the way he did, but he wasn't going to try to revive him either.
"I'm aware we don't have much time. It's a race against it to be honest, though the idea doesn't have solid backing. Do we even know if those who are resurrected are going to be the same as they were before they died and what about a cost? We can't expect things to simply come free."
no subject
"...You're right. It was a foolish idea," she surrendered, and leaned back on her hands as if she'd given up on the matter entirely. The only way to avoid butting heads was to pretend she'd lost her interest. "I'll think of something else."
No she wouldn't. But the last thing she wanted was to ruin a beautiful sunset in the company of her dear friend. This might be the last good thing she had, why spoil it with bickering and resentment?
no subject
Sometimes, he'd sent Repede since the dog was capable of extreme stealth. It was good for him that he had tabs on her alongside other people that he cared about. He knew that they were all separated for their own reasons and paths, but he wasn't the one on either side, thus, he was able to watch everyone from the side while trying to figure out what the next steps were. Worst case scenario he was going to take out the people who were controlling Crystallis to begin with.
It was a more logical plan than murdering each other.
"That's what I want to hear, and if you ever come across complications, you come to me first, got it?"
He replied giving her a stern look for the comment. He knew something was up but he didn't have definite proof. For now, he would have to watch her. His large hand rests itself back on her head, "One more thing," he replied pausing a moment, "Don't think you're at this alone."
no subject
The thing was, she was alone on this, save for Selen's support. She couldn't leave Aqures Ixen's faction without drawing undue suspicion, nor could she rely on most of them to be sane enough to offer any aid. The events of the past two years had broken Rukia, but shattered most everyone else on this side of the divide.
All that was left to them was to watch the sunset and pretend that things were normal for just a little longer.
end soon?
"Right."
He replied as he settled his hand back at his side as he glanced at her and then back at the dimming sunset before it disappeared completely. Perhaps, they'll watch it until they felt the need to leave the area.
